JANUARY 2: Earth at perihelion, Isaac Asimov Birthday.
On 2nd January 2021, the Earth will be at the perihelion.
    What does it mean?
Perihelion is the point in the orbit of a planet, asteroid or comet at which it is closest to the sun.
JANUARY 4: Quadrantids meteor shower, Isaac Newton's Birthday

One of the best annual meteor showers, peaking at up to 120 meteors per hour.
The Quadrantids are usually active between the end of December and the second week of January, and peak around January 3-4
JANUARY 10: Triple Conjunction, Frank Sinatra's birthday

Some days ago we had the opportunity to see the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction in the sky.
JANUARY 24: Saturn at solar conjunction

A “Solar conjunction” occurs when a planet or other solar system object is on the opposite side of the Sun from the Earth. From an Earth reference, the Sun will pass between the Earth and the object. Communication with any spacecraft in solar conjunction will be severely limited due to the Sun's interference on radio transmissions from the spacecraft.
January 29: Jupiter at solar conjunction

After Saturn, also Jupiter will pass close to the Sun and will be unobservable for weeks to come.

February: NOTHING RELEVANT, maybe we could just mention the alpha-Centaurid meteor shower on February, 8th, 2021.
MARCH 20: Spring Equinox, Buzz Aldrin's Birthday

The World “EQUINOX”, comes from Medieval Latin equinoxium, for Latin aequinoctium “the time of equal days and nights”.
    MARCH 28: First SuperMoon

    The first supermoon of 2021.
The moon will appear slightly bigger and brighter than average.

  • This Star Will Explode Soon And Youll See It on Earth

    10:18

Watch more videos in our new App:

All the stars we see, including our Sun, are in a balance of powers. Stars are very heavy objects, so they have strong gravity, which presses them from the outside and makes them shrink. But inside a star, while it burns fuel, there are nuclear reactions that produce incredible amounts of energy. This energy is the light and heat that we feel during the day. But most importantly, these reactions increase the pressure inside the star and create a force that is fighting with gravity.

A star the size of our Sun can shine for about 10 billion years. Specifically, our lovely Sun is about 4.5 billion years old and has already burned half its fuel. The next stage in a star's life comes when it runs out of juice. Internal pressure drops, but gravity continues to press. In less than half a second, a huge star turns into a small and dense object. This rapid collapse creates incredible shock waves that cause the upper layers of the star to explode. Boom! But what happens next? Well, the heavier the star, the more interesting the events will be.

10 exciting Astronomical events that you will see in your lifetime with telescope and without telescope

    1) सितारे का जन्म ( The Birth of A Star ????)
Look up to the stars in 2022, because one of the night sky's most visible constellation, Cygnus, will be getting a new addition
A star is born when atoms of light elements are squeezed under enough pressure for their nuclei to undergo fusion. All stars are the result of a balance of forces: the force of gravity compresses atoms in interstellar gas until the fusion reactions begin.

    2) मंगल ग्रह से पृथ्वी का परागमन( Transit of planet Earth from planet Mars )
This transit will take place on 2084 and this will be first and only time that this phenomenon will occur in the 21 Century
A transit of Earth across the Sun as seen from Mars takes place when the planet Earth passes directly between the Sun and Mars, obscuring a small part of the Sun's disc for an observer on Mars.

    3) Leonid उल्का बौछार ( Leonid Meteor Shower )
This Rare Astronomical phenomena occurs when earth passes through the orbit of periodic comet temple Tuttle
Now sky watchers have a great chance to capture this Meteor shower

    4) सबसे लंबा सूर्यग्रहण ( Solar eclipse )
Solar eclipse occur when the Moon passes between the sun and the earth
A solar eclipse occurs when an observer passes through the shadow cast by the Moon which fully or partially blocks the Sun. This can only happen when the Sun, Moon and Earth are nearly aligned on a straight line in three dimensions during a new moon when the Moon is close to the ecliptic plane

    5) ग्रहों का एक रेखा में आना ( Planetary alignment )
The possibility of an alignment between all of the planets in the solar system is very rare but this will actually happen in 2040

    6) एक एस्टेरॉयड पृथ्वी के करीब से गुजरेगा ( Near Earth Flyby (Asteroid)
On April 2029 an asteroid called 99942 Apophis will pass between the Moon and the earth
On April 13, 2029, Apophis will pass Earth within the orbits of geosynchronous communication satellites, but will come no closer than 31,200 kilometres (19,400 mi) above Earth's surface.

    7) शुक्र ग्रह बृहस्पति ग्रह के सामने से गुजरेगा ( Venus Occults Jupiter )
The last time Venus and Jupiter passes in front of one another was nearly 200 years ago and this will happen again in..

    8) अगला सुपरनोवा विस्फोट ( Next Supernova Explosion )
On average a supernova goes off twice a century in a galaxy the size of milky way

On some January or February evening, come to know the red star Betelgeuse in the constellation Orion. It's not only one of Orion's brightest stars. It's also a star that astronomers know will one day explode as a supernova. And by one estimate, it's only 430 light-years away

    9) हैली का धूमकेतु ( Halley's comet )
Halley's Comet or Comet Halley, officially designated 1P/Halley, is a short-period comet visible from Earth every 75–76 years. Halley last appeared in the inner parts of the Solar System in 1986 and will next appear in mid-2061

    10) SUPERMOON
A supermoon is a full moon or a new moon that nearly coincides with perigee—the closest that the Moon comes to the Earth in its elliptic orbit—resulting in a slightly larger-than-usual apparent size of the lunar disk as viewed from Earth.

    9. Colonization of Mars
No, we’re not talking about an upcoming sci-fi blockbuster – the colonization of Mars is a real possibility in the foreseeable future. Conditions on the surface of Mars are closer to the conditions on Earth in terms of temperature and sunlight than on any other planet or moon. However, the surface is not hospitable to humans or most known life forms due to the radiation, extremely low air pressure, and an atmosphere with only 0.1% oxygen. This means that human survival on Mars would require living in artificial environments with complex life-support measures. ( universe)
While NASA has said that the idea of making the surface of Mars habitable in the near future is not realistic, billionaire SpaceX owner Elon Musk disagrees. Musk is currently funding and developing a series of Mars-bound cargo flights set to launch as early as 2022, followed by the first crewed flight to Mars in 2024.

    8. Nuclear fusion
In nuclear physics, nuclear fusion is a reaction in which two or more atomic nuclei are combined to form one or more different atomic nuclei and subatomic particles - neutrons or protons. Fusion was accomplished in 1951 with the Greenhouse Item nuclear test, while nuclear fusion on a large scale in an boom was first carried out on November 1, 1952, in the Ivy Mike hydrogen test.
One of the biggest challenges of fusion energy has been sustaining the right amount of heat required to produce meaningful amounts of fusion power from plasma and no one has yet managed to build a commercial fusion reactor. We will solve All global warming issues.

    7. Interstellar exploration
Until recently, interstellar travel was nothing more than a theoretical possibility. However, the exploration of other star systems may become reality sooner than you think. Russian entrepreneur and physicist Yuri Milner is currently funding the development of a fleet of light sail spacecraft named StarChip that will be capable of making the journey to the Alpha Centauri star system 4.37 light-years away.
A flyby mission has been proposed to Proxima Centauri b, an Earth-sized exoplanet in the habitable zone of its host star, Proxima Centauri, in the Alpha Centauri system.

    6. Ice-free Arctic
The loss of Arctic sea ice is one of the clearest signs of human-caused climate change and so far the Arctic Ocean has melted to its lowest extent ever recorded since satellites began measuring it in 1979. To make matters worse, the region’s climate has seen temperatures increase at more than twice the rate of the rest of the world.

    5. 99942 Apophis asteroid threat
Before global warming brings humanity on the verge of extinction, a giant rock from outer space might wipe us all out. While you’re watching this video, asteroid the size of a small mountain called 99942 Apophis is hurtling towards Earth through space and there’s a probability it will hit Earth on April 13, 2029.

    4. Chocolate extinction

    3. Antibiotics stop working

    2. Technological singularity
The technological singularity is the hypothesis that the invention of artificial super-intelligence will trigger rampant technological growth, resulting in unimaginable changes to human civilization. According to this hypothesis, an upgradable intelligent agent, such as a computer running software-based artificial general intelligence, would enter a runaway reaction of self-improvement cycles, with each new and more intelligent generation appearing more and more rapidly, causing an intelligence boom and resulting in a powerful super-intelligence that would ultimately surpass all human intelligence.
In the 2010s, prominent public figures such as late English theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking expressed concern that full artificial intelligence could result in human extinction. In March 2017 interview with The Times magazine, Hawking said that an AI apocalypse was impending and the creation of some form of world government would be necessary to control the technology. He also expressed his concern about the impact AI would have on middle-class jobs and even called for a complete ban on the development of AI agents for military use. In his book The Singularity Is Near, American futurist and director of engineering at Google Ray Kurzweil, predicts that by the year 2045..

The world is divided in many different ways. We’re divided by invisible national boundaries, which carve up the land into different countries. We’re separated by seas and continents, which force us to live apart. Aside from that, we’re also separated by religion, and culture, and language. Because of all this, it’s sometimes hard to remember that we’re all one human race, and we all need to work together to deal with some of the issues that could change the face of the whole planet.

  • 10 Astronomical Events That Will Happen In Your Lifetime!

    13:38

From meteors, to stars to planets and more, join us as we look at the universe and tell you 10 Astronomical Events That Will Happen In Your Lifetime.
    10. Halley's Comet
One of the curious things about the universe is the fact that sometimes objects love to be seen, and seen quite frequently. Others though are more on the long-range side and are only see around once in a lifetime.
    9. Asteroid Flying By Earth
While it's true that space is a place that is full of awe and wonder, many know that it's also a place full of dangers. And one of the biggest dangers out there is the threat of asteroids. Despite what sci-fi films tell you, if an asteroid big enough to destroy the Earth heads directly for us, we honestly don't have much that could stop it. What's even more scary though is that there have been many cases throughout history where asteroids have had fly bys with Earth. Meaning that they fly right past us or get REALLY close to us. And another one of those fly bys is coming soon.
In less than a decade, on April 13th, 2029, one such fly by will happen.
    8. Solar Eclipse
Technically speaking, a solar eclipse is not a rare phenomenon. The key factor that you have to take note of is where you live in the world. Because depending on where you are, solar eclipses can happen as frequently as every year or so. But in terms of Earth-wide solar eclipses where the sun and moon crossover in the same spot, those are a little more sporadic.

    7. Supernova
When it comes to the stars that light up the sky, they all have different phases of life. And when it comes to the state known as a Supernova, that means that they get much, MUCH brighter in a very short period of time. That's because they're dying, and they emit a massive amount of mass and energy that is seen as light just before they die out.
    6. Venus Passing By Jupiter
The nine (I'm counting Pluto, sue me!) planets of our solar system are all very unique compared to one another. And one of the reasons for this is that their orbits around the sun are all different. No two planets orbit the sun the same way in one form or another. Part of this is because of distance, and the other is because of the makeup of the planet having a different effect when the suns gravity pulls it. Anyway, this leads to some very interesting events over time. Including Venus actually passing in front of Jupiter. Obviously, this doesn't happen that often, the last time was in 1818. But the next one isn't too far away.
...you know, if you count 2065 as not too far away.
    5. Leonid Meteor Shower
While it's true that Earth is in danger from falling rocks in space, often times they burn up in the atmosphere before they ever really hit Earth. And when enough of this happens at one time, we get the beautiful event known as a meteor shower.
    4. Planetary Alignment
Remember what I said about planets and their orbits? Well, another byproduct of those unique orbits is that they're rarely, if ever, aligned perfectly. You know, as in you can make a straight line from Mercury to Pluto (it's a planet!!)? Yeah, that rarely happens, but it does happen occasionally, and it's going to happen again soon. Or at least...in part.
    Scientists estimate that in 2040..
    3. Supermoon
The moon plays a very big part of life on Earth, even if you don't realize it. It helps light up our skies, has a gravity that affects the oceans, and more. But what sometimes is forgotten is that there are times when the orbit of the moon gets really, REALLY close to the Earth. This event is known as a Supermoon. And if that sounds familiar to you, that would be because one such astronomical event happened in 2016. It was captured in many places, including the TV show Deadliest catch.
The Supermoon itself appeared 14% bigger in the night sky because of how close it was to the Earth at the time. And on December 6th, 2052, an even BIGGER Supermoon is coming
    2. Transit Of Earth From Mars
December 10th 2084 may seem like a long time away (and honestly, it actually is), but it's a date that places like NASA and Space X have marked on their calendars right now. Because this could be one of the most historical astronomical events in history...just not in the way you think. The phrase Transit of Earth From Mars means that if you were on Mars, you would see the Earth pass in front of the sun and slightly obscure it. This has happened in the past due to orbits, but it's never been witnessed on Mars for obvious reasons.
However, the plan for humanity is to eventually colonize Mars, some are even saying that the first colony attempts will happen in the next 5 years, if not the next decade. So, by the time we reach 2084..
    1. The Destruction Of The Earth
Ok, not really, and obviously to witness that is a bit of a misnomer, however, there are scientists out there that believe the rock known as Asteroid 2012 TC4 will not only pass by the planet in 2050 in a close call in terms of fly by, but also that by 2079...

NASA confirms that this astronomical event is heading for Earth. We take a look at this astronomical events that happening on Earth.

A great way to pass time is by looking upwards towards the night sky and looking at the wonders the milky galaxy has to offer. Our ancient ancestors have been doing this for thousands of years and it's allowed us to see some incredible sights. From constellations, Calendars and mapping, the observations of the heavens had been useful for navigation, for understanding our place in the universe and even for important markers of time and the passing of seasons.

Not only does observing the cosmos make you realised how small we are but it's also important for science.

What occurrence would you call rare? A one in a million chance? A once in a lifetime moment? Nah, that’s child’s play! What about something that happened only once or twice in history?

Have you ever heard, for example, that the Mississippi River has been spotted running backward three times? Or that Niagara Falls was gone once? Or that in 1859, auroras of all shapes, sizes, and colors filled the sky in half of the world, going as far south as Jamaica, Hawaii, and Cuba? Those are challenges worthy of a true wonder seeker!

    SUMMARY:
    - In 1812, the Mississippi River stood still and then went backward because of a so-called ‘fluvial tsunami’, which originated from an earthquake nearby.
    - On February 22nd, 2007, fishermen on the San Aspiring ship became the first and only to capture a thousand pound squid alive.
    - Funny thing is that this colossal squid appeared to be a small one, even at 15 feet total length.
    - Voyager 2 discovered 11 moons around Uranus that were never seen before. Three years later, in 1989, it also found rings and 6 new moons around Neptune.
    - It took only 4 days in 2016 for the Slims River to almost completely dry out because of this event, which is certainly one of the rarest occurrences ever.
    - On August 15, 1977, astronomer Jerry Ehman was going through his normal routine at the Big Ear radio telescope at Ohio State University.
    - It has no natural explanation, nor can it be explained as a part of human interaction or a malfunction of a radio telescope.
    - On June 30th, 1908, in Russia’s Central Siberia, an object went through the atmosphere of the planet and then exploded right over the tops of the trees.
    - The echo was heard over 500mi away from the explosion itself, which wiped out more than 800mi2 of the forest.
    - Other nearby waterfalls go frozen or dry regularly, but finding one day that Niagara Falls itself was gone, was probably the scariest event in someone’s life.
    - It happened in 1848, when a particularly powerful ice-cold wind led to a build-up of snow and ice up the river from Niagara Falls.
    - Auroras, also called northern lights, are a miracle specific to only the Northern regions of the world, except on the 1st day of September 1859.
    - That day, auroras of all shapes, sizes, and colors filled the sky in half of the world, going as far south as Jamaica, Hawaii, and Cuba.
    - Xenon-124, the sturdiest tiny brick in the fabric of reality. It takes more time for an atom of xenon-124 to fall apart than has passed since the Big Bang – a trillion times more time, to be fair.

7 SCAREY Future Events in Our Solar System...that Affect Us

From us entering a gas cloud in the next 20 years to the sun exploding to life forming on mars...these are 7 Scarey Future Space Events that Affect Us.

Narration provided by JaM Advertising New Mexico

This is Jupiter’s Giant Red Spot, and it has suffered from this pretty major zit for as long as mankind has observed it, but could this be about to change? The spot is actually a giant raging 300 mile an hour storm which has lasted for at least 186 years, and in all probability much longer. The first people to observe the Spot were Robert Hooke and Gian-Dominique Cassini sometime between 1664 and 1665, but more detailed observations were made in the 1800s, and when we compare images of the Great Red Spot taken by Hubble recently to those shot in the 19th Century, we can see that the Great Red Spot has shrunk by half.

Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune all look pretty fancy with a ring around them don’t you think? Uranus has a ring too, which sounds pretty painful. But do you ever wonder if Mars gets jealous and wishes it had one of its very own? Well if you wait around long enough you just might see this happen.

Despite being a gas giant Jupiter is believed to have a solid core made of iron, rock and ice, but after an experiment by planetary scientists at the California Institute of Technology it seems that this solid core may not last forever.

For at least the past 45,000 years our solar system has been making its way through a cloud of gas called the Local Interstellar Cloud. But a study of these interstellar clouds undertaken over several decades by various universities including Chicago and New Hampshire has revealed that we may be about to pass through it, with devastating results.

Human beings haven’t visited the Moon since 1972, so it’s no surprise that she may wanna start seeing other people. But sometime in the far future that giant ball of grey cheese in the sky will begin to leave the Earth behind, and the consequences for anything still living here will be huge.

In a 2009 issue of the journal Nature the results of a computer simulation were published which showed that at some point over the next few billion years there is a small chance that Mercury could go…a little crazy. Jupiter’s gravity is so strong it actually warps Mercury’s orbit, which at present is elliptical, but could one day become so distorted it overlaps the orbit of Venus. And if that happens, there isn’t a pile of doo doo or a fan big enough to use as a suitable metaphor to describe the carnage that will unfold.

It’s inevitable folks. All great stories must come to an end, and the solar system’s eventual quadrillion year run will finish with an absolute doozy.

Certain things are only meant to happen once in a century, like the one hundred year flood and the one hundred year pandemic. While we find ourselves in the midst of a truly novel situation, it is a good time to reflect upon other events that happen very infrequently. Today we’re looking at things that will happen only once in a lifetime.

Comet NEOWISE made July 2020 a memorable month. Here are the astronomy events that will occur in August 2020.

August 2: Conjunction of Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn
    August 3: Full Moon

August 9: The Moon will occult Mars
The Lunar Occultation of Mars on August 9 2020 is one of the key astronomy events in August this year. Moon will pass in front of Mars. It will eclipse Mars for some time. This occultation will be visible from the parts of South America. From the rest of the world, the Moon will appear to pass close to Mars in Pisces.

August 12: The Perseid meteor shower
The flagship astronomy event of August 2020, the Perseid meteor shower will peak on August 12. Just like the Geminids of December, the Perseids are one of the best meteor showers of the year. The Perseids can produce up to 150 meteors per hour under the dark skies.

How to watch the Perseid meteor shower? There is no need for any telescope or binoculars to watch the Perseids. Just find a dark place away from the light pollution and give your eyes at least 30 minutes to adapt to the darkness. The radiant of the shower lies in the constellation of Perseus.

    August 13: Venus at dichotomy
Venus will reach its greatest eastern elongation and will be half-lit - its dichotomy.

August 17: Kappa Cygnid Meteor Shower
The second meteor shower of August, the Kappa Cygnids will peak on August 17. Its radiant lies in the constellation of Draco. It is a weak meteor shower, producing about 3 meteors per hour

    August 19: New Moon

August 21: The Moon at perigee

    August 29: Ceres at opposition
Asteroid Ceres will make its closest approach to Earth on August 29.

August 29: 20 Massalia at opposition
Asteroid Massalia will make its closest approach to Earth on August 29.

These asteroids that will pass near the Earth at the end of August 2020 pose no threat to us.
