  • 15 Most Terrifying Planets Ever Found

The Earth is not perfectly spherical, Mercury is the hottest planet, and Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System. These simple facts are known even to those with no real knowledge about astronomy. But there are billions of planets in the Universe and some of them are really amazing! For example, there's a planet where night never ends. And it’s not your regular night with stars shining in the beautiful skies — here, it’s pitch dark and scorching hot!

Have you ever heard about a planet that is so close to its sun that half the planet’s surface is a literal ocean of molten lava? The other half is in eternal darkness because it never sees the sun — the planet is always turned to its star with one side! And between the scorching and the dark, there’s the twilight zone — a thin strip of gloomy nothingness. Yeah, that's spooky. ...So, if you're looking for some astronomy facts and a couple of mind-blowing facts about space, this video is right what you need!

  • NASA Has Just Discovered a New Planet!

If you've always been interested in outer space, here's news for you: astronomers have recently found a potentially habitable planet! It's called Barnard’s Star B. It has slightly more than 24 hours in a day, and it’s always sunny there no matter what. Actually, it's really cold there, but simple lifeforms can develop and survive in these conditions!

    - Look up high into the dark sky, and you’ll see a little murky-looking circle. No, that’s not Barnard’s moon – it’s the planet’s sun. Now look down. Deep under your feet lie countless rivers, lakes, and seas of liquid methane.
    - Barnard’s sun is only located 6 light-years away from us, and it’s the 4th closest star to our solar system. Try to imagine our sun 5 times smaller and much less bright.
    - Though Edward Emerson Barnard wasn’t the first to discover this star, he proved in 1916 that it’s the fastest star known to us.
    - Barnard’s Star is what astronomers call a red dwarf – a small, dim, and truly ancient star that’s getting pretty close to the end of its life cycle.
    - The first person to assume there was a planet somewhere near this star was astronomer Peter van de Kamp. Back in the 60s, he observed “wobbles” in the star’s movement.
    - Astronomers took lots of measurements with the most advanced astronomical equipment you could imagine, and they came out with 99% certainty that the planet Barnard’s Star B exists.
    - “Super-earth” is just the term astronomers use to describe only the size of a planet that’s larger than Earth but considerably smaller than ice giants like Neptune.
    - This planet is a huge ball of rock and ice that lies beyond the habitable zone of its star. Even though it’s closer to Barnard’s Star than our Earth is to the Sun, its star provides only 3% of the light that our Sun does.
    - According to a 2015 study at Cornell University, chances are that simple methane-based lifeforms can develop and survive in these conditions.
    - The existence of such lifeforms is pure theory. So the idea that this newly found Barnard’s Star B planet is habitable for us humans is really far-fetched for now.

  • 24 Planets Even Better for Life Than Earth

How many habitable planets are there? Water is the basis of life in any part of the universe. So potentially inhabited planets must have liquid water on them to support life. An incredible number of circumstances must come together for this. The planet must be in the habitable zone of the star. A little closer to the star, and the water will evaporate, leaving no chance for oceans and seas to form. This is what happened on Venus. Too far from the star, and the planet becomes too cold. Water can only exist in the form of ice on the surface and there just might be liquid water deep below. Neptune is one example of this.

In our galaxy alone, there are countless stars. Really you can’t count on them. Near each of them may be a planet. They are called exoplanets. And some of them may be in the habitable zone and have everything for life to form on them. From a list of 4,500 known exoplanets, scientists have identified 24 that can be superhabitable. This is the type of planet that is suitable for the existence and evolution of life even more than the Earth!

Are you ready for the flight of Ingenuity? At the end of March, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory hosted a press conference where it detailed the plans for the drone that hitched a ride to Mars attached to the underside of the Perseverance rover.
The scientists and engineers behind the drone announced that they've now picked a site for what is expected to be the first powered flight on another planet. With the site settled, they're now targeting April 8 for the flight, which will be the first in a monthlong series of test flights to validate the technology.
Good thing...the rocket that will take NASA back to the Moon, works!
It has been a long, difficult, and expensive road for NASA and its Space Launch System rocket. But on March, 17, the space agency got to taste some success with what appeared to be a nominal ground test-firing of the vehicle's core stage.
With brilliant spring sunshine blazing overhead, the four space shuttle main engines that power the rocket roared to life on a test stand in Mississippi. Then they burned for 499.6 seconds, exhausting the vehicle's supply of liquid oxygen. You will all remember that the first test, carried out in January, was stopped after just 67 seconds of ignition due to an abrupt increase in pressure.
It’s incredible! It collided with Jupiter in 1994, but “Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9” still apparently has things to teach us about the Solar System's largest planet.
Curiosity to the rescue! Let's face it: with the launch of Perseverance on Mars, the activities of its predecessor Curiosity have gone a bit quiet. It is less talked about everywhere, in short. But not everywhere. On Apod (Astronomy Picture of the Day), the Nasa website every day publishes a spectacular image of our universe, on March 25, 2021, was published a panoramic photo of Mars in our opinion even better than that produced by Perseverance after landing.
More good news for those who believe in the need to diversify space exploration initiatives: Russia and China will build a lunar station together!
Almost sixty years after the first human flight in history, Russia and China announce to have signed a collaboration agreement to build a scientific research station on the lunar surface, probably assisted by an orbital station. The project, specify the two superpowers, is open to the collaboration of other countries, under the principle of a peaceful exploration of space.

  • 9 Earth-Like Planets We Can Move On Right Now

What planets can people live on? You might be happy to learn that 8.8 billion Earth-sized planets have been discovered so far. Over 30 of those planets in our Milky Way galaxy are very likely to be habitable to human being. Scientific teams have been hard at work trying to discover habitable planets. We don’t know if any of those planets hold extraterrestrial life, but we’ll worry about that when we get there!

    - 1,200 light-years from Earth, the Kepler spacecraft discovered the Kepler-62 system. Kepler-62e is an exoplanet, believed to be a water world.
    - Kepler-62f is neighbor to Kepler-62e, and they are the only 2 habitable planets in the Kepler-62 system. A study showed that Kepler-62f is most likely covered entirely in water.
    - It is possible that Kepler-186f has an atmosphere that can keep the water on its surface a liquid, which is a must-have for life on Earth as we know it. Since Kepler-186f orbits a star that is cooler than the sun, we’d all be much colder than on Earth (if we were to live there).
    - A little farther away than the Kepler system, at 1,700 light-years away, we encounter KOI 7711.01. It has been called “Earth’s twin,” and it’s only 30% larger than Earth. Like Earth, it orbits a sun-like star.
    - Kepler-22b is 2.4 times larger than Earth, and it also orbits a sun-like star. That’s why it has a comfortable temperature of 72ºF, so you can expect to feel toasty but not too hot.
    - Gliese 581g was discovered in September 2010, and it is only 20 light-years away! It’s thought to be even more Earth-like than Kepler-22b in that it could be a better home to plants and animals.
    - They say that Ross 128 b is in “Earth’s backyard” because it is only 11 light-years away. Ross 128 b was discovered in 2017.
    - Proxima b is 1.3 times the size of Earth. It is the closest temperate world to Earth, which means that if you were to travel there, you’d experience almost the same temperature as on Earth.
    - 40 light-years away, we encounter the TRAPPIST system. NASA announced this major discovery in 2017. The TRAPPIST-1 system holds 7 planets, all Earth-sized and all habitable, surrounding a single star.

Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS:

The comet makes impact in spectacular fashion, destroying the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.

Mimi Leder (The Peacemaker) directed this science-fiction disaster drama about the possible extinction of human life after a comet is discovered headed toward Earth with the collision only one year away. Ambitious MSNBC reporter Jenny Lerner (Tea Leoni) stumbles onto the story, prompting a White House press conference. United States President Beck (Morgan Freeman) announces the government's solution: a team of astronauts will travel to the comet and destroy it. The team leader aboard the spaceship Messiah is Spurgeon Tanner (Robert Duvall), who was once the last man to walk on the moon. However, the mission fails, splitting off a chunk of the comet, now due to land in the Atlantic with the impact sending a 350-foot tidal wave flooding 650 miles inland, destroying New York and other cities. The larger part of the comet, hitting in Canada, will trigger an E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event), not unlike a nuclear winter as dust clouds block out the sun and bring life to an end. President Beck reveals Plan B: a cavernous underground retreat constructed to hold one million Americans, with most to be selected through a national lottery. Since teenage amateur astronomer Leo Biederman (Elijah Wood) discovered the comet, his family gets a pass to enter the cave, but his girlfriend Sarah (Leelee Sobieski) and her parents will be left behind. Meanwhile, still in space, Spurgeon Tanner devises a plan for a kamikaze-styled operation that could possibly save the Earth. Special visual effects by Scott Farrar and Industrial Light & Magic.

    Number 10: Kepler-10b
We're kicking off our countdown with Kepler-10b. Kepler-10B is the first confirmed terrestrial planet to be discovered outside the Solar System by the Kepler Space Telescope.

    Number 9: Trappist 1-B
In the ninth spot of our list, we have TRAPPIST 1-b, a planet that has beaten most of our planets in the moon department.

    Number 8: J1407B
Also known as Super-Saturn, this planet is extremely intriguing due to how it looks.

    Number 7: CoRot-7 b
In the seventh spot of our list, we have CoRot-7 B, a planet with such a short orbital period that it revolves around its host star in around 20 hours.

    Number 6: GJ 436 b
This planet is a physical contradiction. Its temperature is about 822 degrees F, certainly hot enough to evaporate water.

    Number 5: Wasp 12B
In the fifth spot of our list, we have Wasp 12B, a planet that's notorious for being elongated in a really strange shape due to the gravity of its parent star and its effect on it.

    Number 4: HD 106906 b
It was originally suggested that the planet known as HD 106906 b shouldn’t exist due to it’s size and distance from its star.

    Number 3: 55 Cancri E
In the third spot of our list, we have 55 Cancri E, a planet almost everyone on Earth would love if they could just traverse 40 light years to it.

    Number 2: Kepler 70 b
We’ve seen blistering hot planets in this list, but none are as absolutely scorching as Kepler 70b, the hottest planet in the Universe.

    Number 1: Kepler-16b
This is one of the few known circumbinary planets, which means that it circles around two stars, similar to Luke Skywalker's home planet in Star Wars.

  • Scientists Have Found Out That a 9th Planet Exists, but Something Strange Is Happening!

The technical advances of recent years have not stopped at the field of astronomy. Gigantic discoveries such as the first photo of a black hole show that there are still numerous unexplored objects and phenomena in our universe. According to extrapolations by astrophysicists, there are probably as many as 100 billion galaxies in space and an equally large number of planets in the Milky Way alone, whose existence we have not yet learned of. The section of the universe, which humans can see, resembles a tiny puzzle piece, which is put together by researchers for centuries piece by piece. Not even the solar system known to us has been completely explored, as can be seen from the discovery of the possible dwarf planet Farout only two years ago or the discussion about a gas in the atmosphere of Venus that could indicate life. For several years, researchers have also speculated about the possibility of another planet in our solar system. Since Pluto's planetary status was revoked, eight have been counted among them. Newest research results from California let astronomy enthusiasts now again strongly listen: There is actually a mathematical proof for the ninth planet in our solar system!

Today we’re looking far outside of our solar system to consider the most beautiful planets in the universe.

10 Strangest Planets In Space You've Never Seen

  • Kepler Found Planets Better Than Earth

Maybe, their planet it's even better than our planet. Maybe, there are planets better than Earth.
That's exactly what recent studies on the Kepler mission data seem to suggest.
But how would these planets look? Which characteristics could it have?
These question, and more like how Kepler found planets better than Earth.
Kepler was a space telescope designed to survey a portion of the Milky Way galaxy in search of exoplanets, which are planets outside our solar system.

Using data from the Kepler mission and the extended K2 mission, scientists have identified more than 2,800 candidate planets and have confirmed more than 2,600 of these as bona fide exoplanets. A handful of planets are thought to be rocky like Earth (but a bit bigger), and orbit in the habitable zone of their stars, where liquid water - an essential ingredient of life as we know it - might exist.
After nine years in deep space collecting data that indicate our sky to be filled with billions of hidden planets - more planets even than stars - NASA's Kepler space telescope has run out of fuel needed for further science operations. NASA has decided to retire the spacecraft within its current, safe orbit, away from Earth. Kepler leaves a legacy of more than 2,600 planet discoveries from outside our solar system, many of which could be promising places for life. They are the so-called “Earth-like” exoplanets.

NASA's Kepler mission revolutionized our scientific understanding of our place in the cosmos by a huge amount of discoveries.
Before Kepler, we had just a few information about exoplanets. For example, how many planets are out there? Which planets are more common? The big gaseous ones, as Jupiter? The ring-giant planets like Saturn? And what about Venus-like planets? Do they exist just in our solar system? And if so, why?
All of these were very interesting questions, that needed to be answered.
But the universe is always a little bit more creative then we are.
Here's what we know after Kepler.
Planets outnumber the stars. Kepler has proven there are more planets than stars in our galaxy — and knowing that revolutionizes our scientific understanding of our place in the cosmos.
Small planets are common. Kepler has shown us our galaxy is teeming with terrestrial-size worlds; the most recent analysis of Kepler’s discoveries concludes that 20 to 50 per cent of the stars in the sky are likely to have small, possibly rocky planets similar in size to Earth within the habitable zone of their parent stars, where water could pool on the planet surface. We still have much to learn about whether any of them could host life.
Planets are diverse. Kepler has discovered a diversity of planet types, opening our eyes to new possibilities. The most common size of planet Kepler found doesn’t exist in our solar system — a world between the size of Earth and Neptune — and we have much to learn about these planets.
Solar systems are diverse too! While our own inner solar system has four planets, Kepler found systems with considerably more planets — up to eight — orbiting close to their parent stars. The existence of these compact systems raises questions about how solar systems form: Are these planets “born” close to their parent star, or do they form farther out and migrate in?
New insights revealed about stars. Besides launching us into the golden age of exoplanets, Kepler has reinvigorated the study of stars. Kepler observed more than a half-million stars over the course of its nine years in operation.

    10: The Buried Centaur
In a surprising turn of events, archaeologists were doing routine excavations in the small French town of Evreux before a construction project was going to start. Dating back to the 1st century BC it became an important and bustling city during the 1st century AD, during the Augustan period of the Roman empire. It had a theatre, big walls covered in frescoes, villas, and Roman bathhouses.

    9: The Millipede Swarm
In Japan, there is a disturbing phenomenon in which horrifying swarms of millipedes get together in such massive clusters that they are able to disrupt the entire country’s train network! Apparently this has been going on for quite some time, and a new study has revealed that the clusters of slimy millipedes actually emerge every eight years to wreak havoc on Japan.

8: Knives Made from Human Bones
In New Guinea, ancient warriors used to craft daggers from human bones, which they then used to finish off their enemies in brutal hand-to-hand combat. A recent study published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, details how these people engineered their daggers from human bones to make them superb weapons.

    7: Stardust
In a rather frightening discovery, scientists have discovered stardust left behind by a meteorite that crashed into Australia 50 years ago. And while stardust itself isn't that scary, the fact that the stardust formed sometime between 5 to 7 billion years ago makes the discovery kind of overwhelming and a little scary.

    6: The Sinister Roman Helmet
A kind of creepy Roman cavalry helmet was discovered in Lancashire, in the northwest of England. But it wasn't found by professional archaeologists, instead it was found by a 13-year-old boy who stumbled upon it by complete accident in 1796! The son of a clog-maker, he was playing in a river bed when he stumbled upon an entire Roman hoard, buried in a hollow and full of a bunch of corroded metal.

5: Deer with Hair on Eyeballs
This one is a bit gross and super scary! A deer was recently discovered stumbling through the wilderness of Tennessee with hair growing out of both its eyeballs! Like some sort of monster. And not just a little bit of hair either. The deer had thick brown hair literally growing out of its eyes, preventing the animal from being able to see.

4: Invasion of the Murder Hornet
In a terrifying insect discovery in 2020, murder hornets were found inside the United States for the very first time, and they were ready to begin starting colonies of their own and murdering citizens of the U.S. in record numbers! Just kidding, not that extreme but scientists were pretty worried! So were beekeepers!! Just 3 of those things will destroy a whole hive of honeybees in 30 minutes.

    3: Ghost Human Ancestor
In a rather spooky discovery, researchers have discovered a mysterious ghost population of ancient humanoid creatures that went extinct after interbreeding with the earliest humans residing in West Africa. According to the report from the BBC, researchers have determined that DNA from this ancient ghost population currently comprises between 2% and 19% of the genetic ancestry of those still living in West Africa.

    2: Hell Ants
A fossil of something known as a “hell ant” was recently discovered by archaeologists. The fossil shows that the hell ant was in the act of attacking its next victim. This discovery is incredibly rare, as the ant was literally frozen during its attack! It has provided experts with an unprecedented view of how these extinct and hellish insects once hunted using their scythe-like jaws and savage horns.

1: Bones Beneath a Medieval Church
Archaeologists working in Poland have uncovered a scary hoard of human remains while in the middle of conserving a medieval church. Located in the small Polish city of Gdansk, it took two years of digging out and analyzing thousands of bones. They came out in all shapes and sizes and dating them has been a challenge.

  • Two Teenagers ‘Hit The Jackpot’ As They Discover Four Planets Orbiting A

Two high schoolers aged just 16 and 18 years old have discovered four new exoplanets around the brightest known Sun-like star—and co-authored a paper published in The Astronomical Journal. A rare achievement, and one described as “hitting the jackpot” by their mentor, Jasmine Wright, 18 and Kartik Pinglé, 16, are paid for four hours’ work each week by the Center for Astrophysics, Harvard & Smithsonian as part of its Student Research Mentoring Program (SRMP). Wright and Pinglé discovered the planets around a star called TOI-1233, the brightest known star similar in size and temperature to our own Sun, about 200 light-years from the Solar System in the southern hemisphere constellation of Centaurus. The star is also known as HD 108236. It was already known that one exoplanet was in orbit. With the discovery, the star becomes the brightest Sun-like star known to host four or more transiting exoplanets. It’s set to be an ideal target for NASA’s upcoming James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The young astronomers used data from NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), a space telescope searching for exoplanets by recording drops in the brightness of stars. They also used data from ground-based telescopes.“We were looking to see changes in light over time,” said Pinglé. “The idea being that if the planet transits the star, or passes in front of it, it would (periodically) cover up the star and decrease its brightness.”A slight dip is a sign that a planet may be crossing its Sun from the point of view of TESS.“I was very excited and very shocked,” said Wright of their discovery of four planets orbiting a star called TOI-1233. “We knew this was the goal … but to actually find a multi-planetary system, and be part of the discovering team, was really cool.”The planets orbiting TOI-1233 comprise one rocky “super-Earth” that orbits in under four days, and three Neptune-like gaseous planets that orbit in six, 14 and 19.5 days, respectively. They consequently have average surface temperatures ranging from 700°F to 1,500°F to unlikely to host life, though their rapid orbits means more transits—and therefore dips in the hosts stars’ brightness. That means more opportunities for astronomers to examine the light passing through the atmosphere of the exoplanets. A research team used the CHaracterising Exoplanet Satellite (CHEOPS) recently confirmed a fifth planet, which takes 29 days to orbit the star. It’s possible that there may be rocky planets further from TOI-1233, possibly within its “habitable zone” where liquid water would be possible. It’s also hoped that the discovery around TOI-1233 will help astronomers better understand the fundamental processes of planet formation and evolution.“With multi-planetary systems, you're kind of hitting the jackpot,” said Wright and Pinglé mentor Tansu Daylan, a postdoc at the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research.

  • Scientists discovered Super-Earth planet|TOI-561b

A hot and rocky exoplanet known as a super-Earth has been discovered orbiting one of the oldest stars in our Milky Way galaxy, according to a new study.

The exoplanet, called that because it's located outside our solar system, is about 50% larger than Earth and has three times the mass -- which makes it a super-Earth by astronomy standards.
Even so, the planet, known as TOI-561b, only takes less than half an Earth day to complete one orbit around its host star.
For every day you're on Earth, this planet orbits its star twice, said Stephen Kane, study coauthor and astrophysicist at the University of California, Riverside, in a statement.
The study has been accepted for publication in the The Astronomical Journal and was presented Monday at the 237th meeting of the American Astronomical Society, which is occurring virtually due to the pandemic.

eps Eri is a star similar to the sun.Previous observations of the star system around eps Eri from the Spitzer space telescope raised the possibility of two theoretical models for the star system. One model was a broad debris disk made up of gas, dust, and small rocky and icy bodies. The other model was bands of narrow disks of debris, similar to our own solar system. There is a concentrated ring of debris known as the asteroid belt, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, and another belt beyond Pluto known as the Kuiper belt, which mostly has icy objects,NASA’s flying observatory, the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) recently completed a detailed study of a nearby planetary system. The investigations confirmed that this nearby planetary system has an architecture remarkably similar to that of our solar system.Located 10.5 light-years away in the southern hemisphere of the eps Eri ,which is the closest planetary system around a star similar to the early sun.It is a prime location to research how planets form around stars like our sun .and is also the storied location of the Babylon 5 space station in the science fictional television series of the same name.

Why are conspiracy theories appealing to so many people? Are some people more likely to believe conspiracy theories than others? Do conspiracy theories make people feel better? What are the psychological and social consequences of conspiracy theories? Is it possible to reduce belief in conspiracy theories?
Millions of people disbelieve official explanations for significant political and social events in favour of alternative accounts that are often called ‘conspiracy theories’. For example, well known conspiracy theories contend that the 9/11 attacks were an 'inside job', that climate change is a hoax, and that Princess Diana was murdered by the British government.
Conspiracy theories like these are very popular - about half of the population believes at least one - and in recent years psychologists have begun to investigate what makes these conspiracy theories appealing to so many people.
Karen Douglas, Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Kent, will talk about what research has discovered so far, and will outline her own programme of research on the psychology of conspiracy theories.

Saturn can be seen from the earth with naked eyes. It is the fifth brightest body on Earth after the Sun, Moon, Venus and Jupiter.

    2. Saturn is the most flat planet. Its polar diameter is 90% of its geo-linear diameter. The reason for this is its low density and fast rotation in front of its axis.

    3. The planet Saturn completes a circle before its axis in 10 hours and 34 minutes. In this way, one day after Jupiter (9 hours 55 minutes) is smaller than all the other planets.

    4. The density of Saturn is lower than all other planets. Its density is only 0.7 as compared to liquid water. This means if you put the planet Saturn in a big tub of water, it will float.

    5. The diameter of the planet Saturn is 9 times greater than the diameter of the Earth, while the density is 8 times less.

    6. Saturn was discovered by many civilizations in ancient times, but in the modern era, the credit of seeing Saturn for the first time through a telescope goes to Galileo Galilei, who made the planet his own in 1610 through a telescope. saw.

    7. The huge size of the planet Saturn has enclosed so much space that it can accommodate 763 earths.

    8. On Saturn, winds on the upper surface of the atmosphere of the geocentric line are 1800 km. Gets an hourly speed, which is faster than the speed of sound.

    9. If you want to travel from Earth to Saturn by traveling in a car, it will take you 1292 years to reach Saturn even if you go at a speed of 117 km / h.

    10. The internal and physical structure of Saturn is almost similar to that of Jupiter. Like Jupiter, Saturn is mainly composed of hydrogen and helium. Apart from this, there are parts of water, methane, ammonia and rocks. Like Jupiter, the nucleus of Saturn is rocky and the surrounding liquid is a layer of metallic hydrogen. Its surface is also gaseous.

    11. In October 2019, scientists discovered 20 new moons of the planet Saturn. After this, Saturn has become the planet with the most satellites in the solar system. Now Saturn has 82 satellites followed by Jupiter which has 79 moons.

Rings of Saturn - rings of Saturn

    1. Saturn is considered unique from the rest of the planets due to its large rings. It has rings, but also on Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune, but Saturn's rings are more in number and size.

    2. When Galileo saw Saturn through binoculars in 1610, he jokingly said that perhaps Saturn has two ears, seeing the shape of Saturn's wonder. Subsequent discoveries revealed that this strange shape of Saturn is due to its rings.

    3. All the rings of Saturn are on one floor only. To understand its rings, it is divided into 14 main parts of which 12 are rings and 2 spaces. It is like this-

    D ring

    C Ring

    B ring

    Cassini Divison (spaces)

    A ring

    Roche Divison (Spaces)

    F ring

    Janus ring

    G ring

    Methone Ring Arc

    Anthe ring arc

    Pallene ring

    E Ring

    Phocbe ring

Out of these, rings A, B and C can be seen from Earth. The spaces between the rings A and B are called the Cassini divisions.

    4. Saturn's rings are made of small particles. These particles are mainly made of water ice but they also include rocks. These particles range in size from a few centimeters to a few meters. These particles revolve independently of Saturn by staying in their rings.

Comparison of Height rings and Thickness

    5. Although the diameter of Saturn's rings v is more than 2 lakh 82 thousand kilometers, but its thickness v is less than v by one kilometer. The amount of matter is very small compared to the vastness of these rings. If the material of all rings is used to make an aerial body, the size of that body will be less than 100 km.

And what would happen if a black hole meets a star? Would a star survive such an encounter? The energy released as the black hole eats up stellar material is huge... Moreover, black holes can attract not only stars and planets, but also other black holes! They eventually merge and become one - of a much greater mass! Wow! Space is a never-ending journey of discovery!

  • First Real Images of the Sky on other Planets - This is what the Sky looks like on other Planets!

The beauty of our surroundings is literally brought before our eyes every time we let our gaze wander towards the sky. The motifs we see during this time vary considerably depending on the weather, the time of day and the time of year. As we all know, on cloudless summer days the sky appears to us in a bright blue hue. This effect is closely related to the sunlight that penetrates the atmosphere of our planet and is partially scattered. Without this phenomenon, which experts call diffuse radiation, the sky would not appear to us in its characteristic blue color, but in a rich black. The fact that we see the color blue of all things is again due to the fact that light rays with a blue spectral color are scattered in the air much more strongly than red light. If you want to enjoy the most intense blue sky on our planet, you should make your way to Brazil. Researchers have discovered that the sky above the world-famous metropolis has the richest hue on earth. This is mainly due to the fact that there are relatively few dust particles and water droplets in the atmosphere of the region in question. So while the earth's sky is already very fascinating, the sights we see on the other planets of our universe are no less breathtaking. If you have ever wondered what the sky on other planets might look like, we can answer this question in detail in our video. We would like to present you with various artistic representations and real footage that will amaze you.

  • The Year of Pluto - New Horizons Documentary Brings Humanity Closer to the Edge of the Solar System

New Horizons is the first mission to the Kuiper Belt, a gigantic zone of icy bodies and mysterious small objects orbiting beyond Neptune. This region also is known as the “third” zone of our solar system, beyond the inner rocky planets and outer gas giants. Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Maryland, designed, built and operates the New Horizons spacecraft, and manages the mission for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. The Year of Pluto - NASA New Horizons is a one hour documentary which takes on the hard science and gives us answers to how the mission came about and why it matters. Interviews with Dr. James Green, John Spencer, Fran Bagenal, Mark Showalter and others share how New Horizons will answer many questions. New Horizons is part of the New Frontiers Program, managed by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

  • New planets and new solar system search by NASA //UNKNOWN FACTS

The star we today call TRAPPIST-1 was first discovered in 1999 by astronomer John Gizis and colleagues. At that time, the ultra-cool dwarf star got the unwieldy name 2MASS J23062928-0502285, because it was spotted with the Two Micron All-Sky Survey (2MASS).

Then, in May 2016, scientists announced they had found three planets around this star using the Transiting Planets and Planetesimals Small Telescope (TRAPPIST) in Chile. In honor of this telescope, scientists began referring to the star as TRAPPIST-1.

  • All the Planets from Inside in 3D

What's inside the Earth? The crust is a relatively thin layer that takes up only 1% of the Earth's volume. At the Earth's center, there's a core that consists of two parts: the outer and the inner core. The temperature at the boundary of our planet's inner and outer core is 10,800˚F - that's as hot as the surface of the Sun! But have you ever wondered what other planets are made of?

Well, all 8 planets of our Solar System are unique and made of very different stuff! And what is inside a planet can impact what’s on the outside! So how about going on a space journey from the Sun to Neptune, the farthest planet of the Solar System? Let's check what's inside each celestial body on our way and learn some new facts about space!
