Rotting wooden planks, held aloft by rusty bits of wire, stretch out in front of you. You reach for a railing to steady yourself, but all you find are two threadbare ropes. The howling wind blows the rickety footbridge from side to side. Somewhere below you lies the forest floor—you don’t even know how far.
Is this an irrational fear? Not necessarily. Gephyrophobia—the fear of bridges—is an accepted psychological diagnosis.

  • 12 Most Dangerous Islands You NEVER Want To Visit!

    13:54

Top most dangerous islands you don’t want to visit! These are the craziest and scariest islands and most dangerous islands you never want to visit!

    #5. “Saba”-- Netherlands Caribbean
If you are willing to brave the rocky but short twelve minute plane ride from St. Maarten to Saba, the smallest island in the Dutch Antilles you will be graced with a view like none other, a place that looks trapped in the ancient past. Upon arrival you will find a village nestled upon a volcano that is full of vibrant atmosphere with live music, family owned restaurants featuring fresh caught cuisine and plenty of outdoor activities like scuba-diving and hiking for nature lovers. But all this comes at a cost. You might say that the locals have become such experts at having a good time because at any moment it could all be destroyed. Tourists have been known to call it ‘The Unspoiled Queen of the Caribbean’ but it could be more accurately described as ‘Hurricane Island’. Because of its location right in the Atlantic’s hurricane alley, the island has been noted for being hit by the most hurricanes of any island on Earth. Despite the constant attacks that mother nature brings down upon Saba its people still find a way to survive and rebuild time and time again.

    #4. “Rockall”-- Ireland
The tiny 80 foot wide island known as Rockall which lies nearly three-hundred miles off of Scotland’s western shore has such an imposing presence it has made its way into Irish and Scottish legends as well as popular culture through music, books and television. People have long been entranced with its simple yet powerful structure with some ancient myths going as far to name it the location where the apocalypse will begin. The real life danger is in the fact that the island itself, is essentially a large granite rock sticking out of the ocean--the remnants of an extinct volcano. Because of its steep incline on all sides there is really only one place for a person to stand, the peak, which you can only get to if you are a skilled rock-climber. Even if you are it isn’t recommended that you try climbing the relatively short summit of 65 feet as the island is smack dab in the part of the ocean that boasts waves which reach upwards of 100 feet. Despite their being no natural value to the island other than its looks, Rockall was considered an extremely important strategic location by the United Kingdom who claimed the island in fear of it falling into the hands of the USSR and being used to house a missile silo. Britain’s claim to the island also has the historical distinction of being their last modern day territorial acquisition.

People learned to build bridges many centuries ago. At first, they were questionable constructions made of stones, wood, and even tree roots. SUMMARY:
    - #1. The construction looms 186 ft above the water’s surface, and they say that when the weather is bad, you can't see the shore from the middle of the bridge. All things combined, it creates an eerie feeling of being suspended in some kind of nerve-racking limbo.
    - #2. At 410 ft long, this is the longest curved suspension bridge in the world. The deck of Sky Bridge is 2,170 ft above sea level, among the mountain peaks, and boy, that's a sight to behold!
    - #3. This bridge held the title of the world's highest from 1929, when it was completed, till 2001, when Liuguanghe Bridge in China surpassed it by 19 ft.
    - #4. The tallest bridge in the world seems to be floating over the river Tarn's gorge valley in southern France. The total length of the bridge is 8,070 ft, and its maximum height is a whopping 1,125 ft above the ground!
    - #5. This is one of the longest and oldest teakwood footbridges in the world. Besides, it's probably one of the most photographed as well!
    - #6. The world's longest glass bridge, opened in 2017, hangs over a picturesque canyon in the Hebei province of China. About 1,600 ft long and more than 700 ft high, the bridge is paved with 1,077 glass panels!
    - #7. The walkway isn't particularly long, only 200 ft, but the view that is waiting is breathtaking. Everyone using the pathway has to wear special anti-slip shoe covers.
    - #8. This is the largest rigid-frame bridge in Japan, even though it looks more like a twisted roller coaster for drivers! The structure has incredibly steep inclines on both sides, and at first sight, you may doubt that a regular car is able to climb the bridge.
    - #9. The locals call this construction the drunk bridge. Its length is only 850 ft, but the curve of the bridge that protrudes over the Norwegian Sea plays a funny visual trick on motorists.
-#10. The modern version of the Seven Mile Bridge was completed in 1982, and its construction cost was about $45 million.

Some people love riding a roller coaster. The feeling of “having their heart in their mouth” makes them thrilled and high on adrenaline. But have you heard of the ways which go through the clouds?
Today, let’s visit the most incredible and dangerous roads in the world. They overshadow even the coolest rides and leave people driving on them breathless and terrified.

Road through Skippers Canyon, New Zealand 7:34
The James W. Dalton Highway, Alaska, USA 8:22
“Train to the Clouds”, Argentina 9:21

    SUMMARY
    - The Guoliang Tunnel is an amazing 0,7 mi (1.2 km) long mountain road in China. The story of its creation is unbelievable! Before its construction there had been a very dangerous path with narrow steep stairs which didn’t have any handrails.
    - The sellers take their goods away and fold their tents in seconds, giving way to the train which moves at a speed of about 9 mi/h (15 km/h). This is the reason the market is sometimes called Talat Rom Hoop which means “Market Umbrella Close”.
    - Yungas Road (also called Death Road) connects Bolivian cities of La Paz and Coroico. It descends from the height of 2 miles to 1,181 ft (3,300 to 360 m) above sea level. Despite the fact that the road is very narrow, even trucks manage to pass each other.
    - If you look at this highway, you will surely ask, “So what is so dangerous on this straight road?” Right, this is the longest straight road in the world with the length of about 994 miles (1,600 km)!
    - The “Nose of the Devil” railway is built on the rock which has the same name. It was called this way because people believed that Devil didn’t want a railway to pass through that place - that’s why so many deaths occurred among the people who built the road.
    - Pamban is India’s first sea bridge built in 1914. It connects the mainland part of India with the island which has the same name. In 1964 there was a storm which hit the island. It overturned a passenger train and all 150 people who were inside died.
    - At 807,7 miles (1,300 km) long, Karakoram is considered the world’s most high-altitude international highway. One of its sections passes at the altitude of more than 15,091 ft (4,600 m).
    - This is the road between the island of Noirmoutier and mainland France. This passage seems quite common, doesn’t it? It is, until you get to know that to drive along it, you will need to know the schedule of the tides! In fact, the road is approachable only twice a day - before and right after the low tide.
    - Leh-Manali Highway runs through several high mountain passes. It is located at the altitude of 13,034 to 16,404 ft (4 to 5 km). This road is extremely narrow, covered with dirt and gravel, but this doesn’t prevent local drivers from zooming through at high speeds.
    - This road leads to the top of Tianmen Mountain where a Buddhist temple is situated. It is only 6.8 miles (11 km) long but it can boast 99 bends with the distance between some of the curves less than 656 ft (200 m)!
    - The highway which runs through the dried Solar de Uyuni is located at the altitude of 11,811 ft (3,650 m) above sea level. Local landscapes are so unusual that they can be taken for some extraterrestrial grounds!
    - This road was built in 1880s and it is a true wonder of engineering. The construction took only 5 years and it has remained mostly unchanged since then! This amazing passage has numerous holes, cliffs, steep descents and sharp bends.
    - Only 108,7 miles (175 km) of this 413,8 miles (666 km) highway are covered with bitumen, the rest of the way you have to drive on gravel. Tough weather conditions, winds, unexpected changes from 2 to 4 lanes and back, poor visibility have made this road particularly deadly.
    - If you decide to make a 15-hour train journey, be ready to pass through 21 tunnels, 42 bridges and viaducts, 2 spirals and 2 more zigzags on the 134,8 mi (217 km) road! This railway is one of the highest in the world, its top point (at the end of the line) is situated at the altitude of 13,780 ft (4,200 km).

    11:01

In this video we will be looking at some of the scariest bridges in the world that you do not want to cross. These bridges are not exactly dangerous but they are quite scary. Number 10. Eshima Ohashi Bridge

Also known as the “rollercoaster bridge,” the Eshima Ohashi bridge is an extremely steep bridge that many drivers fear to drive across. Whether you are climbing or descending the bridge, the steepness is nothing short of looking like a rollercoaster. The bridge was constructed between 1997 and 2004 to connect two cities – Matsue and Sakaiminato, which are located on opposite sides of Nakaumi Lake. The reason for the tallness of the bridge is to allow ships to pass under the bridge.

It has a height of 44 meters, a width of 11.4 meters, and about a mile long. Looking at this bridge from any of the two ends depicts the high inclination of the bridge, which is why it has been tagged as the “rollercoaster bridge.”
The Eshima Ohashi Bridge has even featured in commercials to test the durability of vehicles. Daihatsu Motor Co. tested its Tanto Minivan on the bridge to prove the durability of the vehicle. Only the most durable and well-tested vehicles can descend or ascend this bridge.

Number 9. Trift Suspension Bridge – Switzerland

You need to have a profound love for heights to even dare to step on this bridge. It is one of the scariest brides, and it offers one of the most spectacular views in the Alps. It is 100 meters tall and 170 meters long, which are quite daring for a pedestrian suspension bridge. The reason for building the bridge is because a retreating glacier made it impossible for hikers to get to a hut on the other side; therefore, this bridge was built so that hikers can get to the hut easily. However, if it gets windy, the bridge swings wildly and can be terrifying for anyone who is on it at that time. Because of the wild swinging, the bridge was only opened during summer months when the weather is mostly clear.

But in 2009, stabilizing cables and higher handrails were installed. Despite these additions, the bridge still swings when the weather is bad. This means the best time to climb the Trift Suspension Bridge is during summer, and even then, the view below can be terrifying.
    Number 8. The Titlis walk

Before getting on this bridge, your nerves must be strong and steady. At a height of 3041 meters above sea level, 500 meters above the ground, and 150 gut-wrenching steps, the Titlis Walk is spectacular and terrifying at the same time. The bridge hangs from steel cables, and it stretches through a distance of 100 meters with a width of one meter. If you take a look at the abyss below, you will be held spellbound by the view.

Since the Titlis Walk opened to tourists in 2012, it has attracted a large number of tourists and has been declared as the highest suspension bridge in Europe. The bridge itself crosses a chasm that has a depth of 1600 feet. And the bridge builders have had to offer assurances that people are safe when they climb the bridge. The bridge cost £1 million to build, and the engineers particularly had a hard time building it because of unfavorable weather conditions.

    12. Glass Walkways In China
Did you know there’s a term for a phobia of bridges? It’s called gephyrophobia, and it sometimes goes hand-in-hand with a fear of heights, called acrophobia, or a feeling of being trapped, known as agoraphobia. Do you have these? Let me know in the comments!!

    11. Kuandinsky Bridge
The Kuandinsky Bridge in Siberia is an old train bridge that crosses over the Vitim River. While the train bridge has been rebuilt, the old structure remains and is part of the Baikal-Amur Mainline Road, a popular attraction for adventure-seekers.

    10. Trift Bridge, Switzerlan
There are many bridges in Switzerland, but easily one of the scariest and most dangerous ones is the Trift Bridge. It might make you feel a bit nauseous! It’s a pedestrian suspension bridge high up in the Alps. It's pretty long, at 170 meters (560 feet) and hangs at 100 meters (330 feet) into the air.

    9. Hussaini Hanging Bridge
Many consider the Hussaini Hanging Bridge in northern Pakistan to be the world’s most dangerous bridge. It runs across the Hunza River and is made of ropes and planks with massive gaps in-between. The bridge is prone to swinging wildly, courtesy of the nearly-constant cold winds from the nearby mountains. So not only is it scary, but also cold! No thanks!!

    8. Chesapeake Bay Bridge
Built in 1952, the William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial Bridge spans Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay. At 4.3 miles (6.9 km) long, it was once the world’s longest continuous over-water steel structure. It’s 186 feet (57 meters) tall at its highest point and is quite narrow, with low guardrails and no pull-offs.

    7. Austrian Road Bridges
Austrian prisoners of war built the Austrian Road in eastern Kazakhstan from 1915 to 1917, during World War I. Located in the Altai Mountains, it links the country’s Katon-Karagay valley to Lake Markakol, then continues along the Chinese border. The 37-mile-long (60 km) gravel road climbs up several mountain passes at high altitudes of up to 7,011 feet (2,137 meters) above sea level and has 16 wooden bridges that run over the Kara-Koba River.

    6. Deception Pass Bridge
The Deception Pass Bridge is a two-lane structure connecting Whidbey Island and Fidalgo in Deception Pass State Park via Washington State Route 20. It sits 180 feet (55 meters) above the water and is 1,486 feet (453 meters) long.

    5. Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Bridge
The 24-mile-long (38.6 km) Causeway Bridge over Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana is the world’s longest bridge over continuous water. It was featured on Modern Marvels and is an amazing feat of engineering!

    4. Eshima Ohashi Bridge
Nicknamed the “roller coaster bridge” due to its steepness, the Eshima Ohashi Bridge runs over Lake Nakaumi in Japan, connecting the cities of Matsue and Sakaiminato. Built in 2004, it’s roughly a mile long (1.4 km), with a 6.1 percent gradient on one side and a 5.1 percent gradient on the other. It’s about 144 feet (44 meters) tall, enabling boats to pass underneath.

    3. Duge Beipanjiang Bridge
The 4,400-foot-long (1,341 meters) Duge Beipanjiang Bridge crosses above the Beipanjiang Valley and Beipan River in southwestern China’s Guizhou Province. Since its completion in 2016, it’s held the title for the world’s highest bridge, sitting at 1,854 feet (565 meters) at its highest point.

    2. Mackinac Bridge
Nicknamed “Mighty Mac,” the five-mile-long (8 km) Mackinac Bridge connects Michigan’s Upper and Lower peninsulas. Opened in 1957, it’s the world’s fifth-longest suspension bridge, and the longest in the western hemisphere.

    1. Ai-Petri Bridges
The politically unstable Crimean Peninsula is currently caught in a tug-of-war between Ukraine and Russia. Politics aside, it’s a beautiful region that many travelers have come to appreciate and many others hope to someday visit.

10 Most TERRIFYING Bridges In The World!

Fair warning, the bridges you are going to see here are down-right terrifying.
You are not going to want to look down when making your way across these vertigo- inducing bridges. Some of the bridges will cause gephyrophobia just by looking at them. Gephyrophobia is the irrational fear of bridges. Apparently, that’s a thing!
Some bridges will sway as you cross, others have massive gaps wide enough for a person to fall through, and others have steep slopes after impossible engineering that will make you wonder just how some of these bridges were built.
These are the world’s most terrifying bridges.
Also, be sure to stay to the end of the video to find out why this bridge in Russia is famous for all the wrong reasons.

    #1: Sochi Skybridge, Russia
The magnificent Sochi Skybridge is said to be one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world. Located North-East of the 2014 Winter Olympics host city, this 439-meter-long footbridge in the sky dares to challenge the limits of wild adventure lovers.
The bridge itself is built in the middle of an AJ Hackett operated sky park, making it a thrill sports attraction that is sure to deliver the perfect adrenaline rush to get your pulse racing.
Two observation pods within the bridge offer the most panoramic views of the Akhshtyr Gorge, the Mzymta River Valley, and the Black sea coast. These are sights that are sure to take your breath away.
But first, are you ready to brave a chilling walk, 207 meters off the ground?
Although AJ Hackett assures visitors that the bridge is built to withstand a magnitude-9 earthquake, rain, snow, ice, and hurricane winds, walking across the seemingly unending span, looking down at the Krasnaya Polyana valley, is frightening, to say the least.
If you don’t have the courage to walk across, you can always strap up and take the zip-wire ride on the MegaTroll, which will take you at 120km/h top speed!
I’d also suggest bungee jumping if you make it.

#2: Titlis Cliff Walk Bridge, Switzerland
This is a one-million-dollar suspension bridge set alongside the tallest mountain located in the Swiss Alps, making it Europe’s highest suspension bridge, 3,048 meters above sea level.
This incredible bridge has a 100-meter span with a mere meter in width. The bridge design itself is quite imposing and it is said to offer spectacular views to visitors who make it to the Titlis Cliff Walk.
What makes this bridge terrifying is that it hangs a whopping 500 meters above a glacier -don’t look down if you’re scared of heights.
Another thing that will probably keep your nerves constantly on edge is the fact that the bridge is entirely supported by the steel cables from which it hangs.
Although the Titlis Engelberg officials assure visitors that the bridge is completely safe, they do recognize, however, that you’ll need strong nerves to cross their bridge.

#3: Hanging Bridge of Ghasa, Nepal
At first glance, this suspended bridge looks like the scariest passage on this list. Well, you’re right to be scared.
Not only is it laid at a frightening height of 343 meters above the Kali Gandaki river valley just outside the town of Ghasa, but it is also very narrow and looks quite fragile. And if that doesn’t terrify you enough, the recurrent gusts of wind that keeps shaking the bridge will undoubtedly scare you stiff.
But who uses this extremely unstable-looking bridge anyway?
Apparently, this bridge is an essential crossing for local herders and farmers. It is actively used to ferry not just people but also herds of farm animals.
In fact, the bridge was built for this particular reason.
Before the bridge was constructed, herds of cattle would congest the villages and narrow mountain roads, making traffic flow almost impossible. This bridge became the alternative route for the local shepherds and their animals to access the neighboring villages.
And, yes, the bridge is completely safe to cross. It is equipped with high railings and really tough steel wire ropes, which are structurally reliable.
Even so, that doesn’t take away the fear factor entirely since not all travelers find the courage to cross this bridge. Herders have put blinders on their animals so they don’t get nervous while on the deck.
    #4: Previous I-35W Bridge, USA
Some bridges may look strong and completely safe to drive over, but they are, in fact, a horror story waiting to happen. The collapsed I-35W Mississippi River Bridge was one such bridge.
Officially known as the Bridge 9340, this eight-lane bridge crossing over the Saint Anthony Falls of the Mississippi River was opened in 1967 and expected to last fifty years.

We rely on engineers to keep us safe while we’re traveling from point A to point B. For centuries, they’ve been constructing magnificent bridges that not only function, but add beauty to the world around them. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean that these grand and glorious structures aren’t absolutely terrifying! Whether it’s a fear of heights or simply a fear of bridges themselves, many people struggle to cross them. Footbridges often assist hikers and mountain climbers as they navigate mountain peaks. They also help us to quickly cross large bodies of water. But most of all, they provide the most direct route across any rugged and treacherous terrain. In this video, we'll show you some scary bridges, like the rotting Vitim River Bridge in Siberia and the terrifying Hongyagu Glass Bridge in China. They span some of the most intense, unforgiving, and extreme landscapes. Mountains, valleys, lakes, bays, and rivers are all conquered by feats of modern engineering.

The world’s first bridge was constructed around 1300 bc and is located in Argolis, Greece. Named the Arkadiko Bridge, it was part of a major trade route between Tiryns and Epidauros, but today it sees drastically less traffic as it is largely only used by locals and otherwise ignored by the rest of the world. But ever since man built the Arkadiko Bridge we have continued erecting longer and more dramatic bridges, not only to transport travelers but to flaunt the marvels of modern engineering - nonetheless many modern bridges are absolutely death-defying to cross and that’s why today we are looking at the Top 10 Most DANGEROUS Bridges In The World, let’s get started...

    10. Trift Bridge – Switzerland
    *great pics:
    *Walk over:
The Alpine region of Switzerland, more commonly known as the Swiss Alps is home to one of the world’s most famous mountain ranges. In fact, the region is so infamous that it attracts some 80 million visitors every year, and to keep this massive influx of people entertained there are over 600 resorts and more than 10,000 ski installations. This massive amount of activity also accounts for a very necessary portion of the local economy, in fact, tourism is nearly a 55 billion dollar a year industry in the alps and it provides nearly 12% of all local jobs.
But with elevations reaching 4,634 feet many of the attractions are not for the faint of heart, a crowning example is the Trift Bridge. This simple suspension bridge spans nearly 170 meters, or 560 feet, and dangles at a perilous height of 330 meters, if you are bold enough to cross this structure and foolish enough to look down, you will find yourself with a one of a kind view of lake Triftsee, a relatively new lake that was formed in 2002 by the melting of nearby Trift Glacier. Finally, if you feel the need to cross this hair raising bridge you will first have to get to it - reaching the bridge takes a 10-minute ride in a cable car, which holds about 8 people. After disembarking the cable car, tourists still face a grueling ninety-minute hike to reach the top. Despite the accessibility issues the bridge still attracts a shocking 20,00 crossers annually.

    9.Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge, Northern Ireland
This rope bridge in Northern Ireland connects the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede. This terrifying bridge spans 20 meters and suspends pedestrians 98 feet above the rocks and water that pass beneath. For over 350 years fishermen have been building bridges across the expanse in the hopes of fishing nearby salmon populations, however, as time went on the salmon populations decreased and the bridge itself became a bustling tourist attraction. Despite the terrifying view down, nearly 500,000 people every year come to test their grit walking across the narrow swaying structure.

    8. Capilano Suspension Bridge, Canada
Built in 1889, the Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses the Capilano River in North Vancouver British Columbia in Canada, at the moment it is located in a private facility where tourists can pay $43.00 dollars to walk across - the site draws over 1.2 million visitors per year. The Capilano isn’t just any bridge though, this massive bridge is 460 feet long and 230 feet off the ground! Shockingly this amazing structure was first built in 1889 by George Grant Mackay using hemp ropes and cedar planks, but in 1903 it was reinforced with wire cables and has experienced very few upgrades since then.

    7. Vitim River Bridge, Russia
The Baikal–Amur Mainline or BAM Road is considered one of the toughest extreme routes in the world - it runs along the Trans Siberian Railway and thrill-seekers from around the world test their limits by traversing the 3,140-kilometer trail every year. This daring route crosses what many consider to be Russia’s least traversable terrain, a jarring path through northern Siberia. Among the many obstacles along the BAM Road is a bridge known as the Vitim River Bridge. The Vitim River Bridge is the same width as a car and made from old deteriorated railway wood, a skilled driver can cross it in 3 minutes but what they face during those 180 seconds is enough to haunt them for a lifetime.

Over many generations humans have improved the way they travel around the globe. We have planes, we have trains and, of course, we have automobiles. We’ve even developed pretty decent space travel - but we figure we’ll keep things firmly on the ground in this instance. All of the modes of land travel we use rely heavily on roads and pathways. Naturally, when you reach a river, canyon or steep cliff the roadway keeps going thanks to bridges. Yes, bridges come in many shapes and sizes and we use them to make sure our various routes remain uninterrupted. Over the decades humans have been able to build some really impressive and awe-inspiring structures. Of course, being human, we’ve also built some bridges that look like they should be used in a horror movie - or as a challenging level in a video game. Come with us while we travel the world and show you 10 bridges most people would not want to cross. In fact, all of these bridges come with a level of danger thanks to rickety construction, the forces of nature or just plain disrepair.

  • Worlds Most Dangerous Roads - Philippines

    51:12

The headhunters road Kalinga in filipino is aptly named even if the region's heads haven't been rolling for a long time. It said the spirits of the mountains still have a taste for them when it comes to cutting the road.
Christopher and his men face the same struggle against the mountain every day. Their job is to remove the thousands of cubic meters of rocks blocking the road in record time.
Further down the valley lies the town of Bontoc. It is neither Airport nor railway station, so the road is vital for its 15,000 inhabitants. If the Kalinga is blocked, the entire region is paralyzed and even the bone snake charms are powerless.
Bus 532 with 20 years of service is about to leave for one of the most dangerous roads in the Philippines: the Kalinga on the island of Luzon. It relays Bontoc to the regional capital of Tabuk to the north through the Cordillera mountains. A Tough road under construction for nearly a century, but which still resembles a track. It takes almost a day if all goes well to travel.

  • SCARIEST Bridges And Roads You Can Travel On

    10:14

Roads and bridges are things that are used to travel more efficiently from place to place. They certainly help when it comes to crossing water or great heights between mountains, although those same traits also make these passages absolutely terrifying. These are the Scariest Bridges And Roads You Can Travel On. We wouldn’t recommend going to any of them. Just trust us.

#8 - Zhangjiajie Glass Walk Bridge
Just a year ago, China opened a breathtaking glass skywalk that had been added to Hunan’s mountainous landscapes. The winding bridge is 1,410 feet long and, as you can see from these frightening photos, it hovers 984 feet above the ground. This would be the very last place in the world you would find us. You’re on your own if you want to go check this scary bridge out.

    #7 - Lake Pontchartrain Causeway
You might be able to guess why the bridge in this picture made it into this video just by looking at it. It’s not particularly high, and it actually only sits 16 feet above the water. The bridge connects the two Louisiana towns of Metairie and Mandeville. It stretches an incredible 24 miles across the lake. If that wasn’t scary enough, once you get about eight miles into the bridge, you no longer have a visual of land.

#6 - Captain William Moore Bridge
Although the bridge in this photo isn’t all that scary to look at, once you find out about the surroundings and the structural integrity of this bridge, you might just change your mind. This bridge is located in Alaska and it crosses over an ACTIVE earthquake fault. The engineers who designed the bridge planned for the potential disaster and only anchored one end of the bridge securely. Now, when the ground trembles and shifts, the bridge won’t just be torn apart. However, we want to know how it’s still safe with only one end secured. How does that work?

    #5 - Millau Viaduct, France
The bridge in this picture gives us the same thrilling fear as riding a roller coaster. The bridge pictured here is the Millau Viaduct located in France. The tallest part of the bridge, from the valley floor to tip of the mast is 1,125 feet tall, which is taller than the Eiffel Tower! It may be less than two miles in length, but this is another path we just aren’t going to bother taking.

    #4 - The Confederation Bridge
This bridge located in Canada made it into this video not because it is incredibly tall and you’re scared of heights, but because it is a long eight miles to the other side. You can see just how long it is in this picture. While that in itself doesn’t seem to shiver worthy, the fact that it is the longest bridge crossing over ice cold water in the world, does. Yes, there are ones that are miles longer, but supposedly not over such freezing waters. This one billion dollar bridge probably won’t just dump you in the water as it crumbles, but that fear factor that it will is still alive and well.

    #3 - Hussaini Hanging Bridge
Hanging bridge is right! Though it should really be called “hanging by a thread bridge,” just look at the mess in this picture, someone come collect their granny, she needs help! This rickety cable and wood bridge is located in Pakistan, and you couldn’t pay us enough to cross it. The bridge crosses over the rapidly flowing Hunza River and the tattered and worn remains of the previous bridges hang right next to the one being currently used. To make this bridge that much more unbearable, it was swallowed up by flood waters in 2010. Although there has been a newer one built, it doesn't seem any safer.

    #2 - Monkey Bridges
If you told us that we would have to walk across the scary skinny bridge pictured here, we would have laughed into next week. There’s just no way. Even though this bridge seems like a joke in a movie, these “monkey” bridges are used as a quick passage in several parts of Vietnam. The name “Monkey” bridge comes from the stooped posture you have to adopt when crossing. Just so you know how crazy this bridge is, it is exactly as it looks in the picture; the bridge is made from a single bamboo log with one or two handrails. If you think crossing this is a good idea, best of luck to you and we’ll see you down at the bottom of the river, since you’re certainly falling in.

    #1 - Eshima Ohashi Bridge
This terrifying bridge wasn’t a nightmare constructed by an architect but if you looked at this picture of the bridge, you would think it was. This mile long bridge spans across Lake Nakaumi and links the city of Matsue to the city of Sakaiminato. The reason for the sudden climb in the bridge is meant to allow entire barges or ships underneath without incident. Although this bridge looks absolutely terrifying at about a 45-degree angle, it is actually not that steep, and a side view of the bridge shows that the highest point is reached with a gradual incline. It’s not at all how it appears.

10 Scariest Bridges You'll Regret Walking On

12 Most Terrifying Bridges You Don't Want to Cross

Most DANGEROUS bridges in the world

    10) Langkawi Sky Bridge, Malaysia
Set above the treetops, the Langkawi Sky Bridge has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Malaysia. This pedestrian bridge is suspended from a single pylon, and is 2165 feet above the sea level. The Langkawi Sky Bridge has sections of glass built into the bridge to let you look down at the mountainous trees below. This rather recent construction (2004) is suspended 100m into the air on just one pylon and is just 6 ft wide. The scariest element to this bridge is that from that pylon, it swings, offering a complete panorama over the wild jungle, the Andaman Sea and the Langkawi Island to its passengers. The parts were assembled by helicopter. This Sky Bridge holds the record for the longest curved suspension bridge in the world.

    9) Kuandinsky Bridge, Russia
There are a number of factors that make it one of the top 10 scariest bridges in the world. It was built more than three decades ago, and hasn’t been repaired since. In fact, the bridge is closed to the public. The Kuandinsky Bridge has no guardrails and the extreme cold weather leaves almost no room for human error. Though it’s closed to the public, adventure enthusiasts try to make it across the bridge just for the sake of thrill. Sometimes they have to patch up the bridge themselves to make it through.
    8) Musou Tsuribashi Bridge, Japan
Constructed in 1950, Musou Tsuribashi is in the middle of nowhere and in case you fall you should not expect any help. Even worse, this mountain is so steep and it is scaled using series of chains that have been put in stones. The bridge is poorly maintained and the planks are thin, so there is a high likelihood of your legs passing through them..

    7) Puente de Ojuela, Mexico
It was designed by the same people who designed the Brooklyn Bridge. The Puente de Ojuela is more than 1,000 feet long. It’s the only functional structure in the ghost town of Ojuela. The town was almost completely abandoned when it ran out of mineral resources at the beginning of the 20th century. The Mexican government restored the terrifying suspension bridge as a tourist attraction in 1991. It was reinforced with steel, but the widely separated wooden planks still make scary squeaky sounds as you walk on the bridge. Also – you might experience a little swing while crossing it. Adventurists from all over the world come to see the bridge and some even dare to cross it.
Why would someone in their right mind cross the bridge for no reason!!!!

    6) Ubein Bridge, Myanmar
Named after the city’s mayor who built it, the U Bein Bridge travels almost 4,000 feet across the Taung Tha Man Lake in Amarapura, Myanmar. The U Pain Bridge is one of the longest wooden bridges, supported by very shaky wooden posts and with no handrails. It’s 2,000 years old and used by people on a daily basis to get to the other bank of the Taungthaman Lake. If you are adventurous enough to visit this bridge make sure you don’t miss the amazing sunset

    5) Kakum National Park Canopy walkway, Africa
Kakum Canopy Walk is basically a very narrow wood plank, with some steel bars and rope, put together over the abyss. Those brave enough to walk on it will experience some bouncing and swinging. This is enough to give you an adrenaline rush, but don’t forget to count on birds and monkeys to come into your path too; it can be both beautiful and scary. This interesting yet dangerous bridge always remains full of tourists despite the fact that the forest floor of Kakum national park lies only 76 feet below. The wood used for its construction has been damaged and the bridge is so narrow that two people cannot walk side by side.

    4) Trift Suspension Bridge, Switzerland
This fairly new construction built in 2004 is 180 meters long and 110 meters high and is located in the Alps of Gaden in Switzerland. Trift Bridge is the longest pedestrian bridge located in the Swiss Alps and was originally built for hikers to reach the Trift hut which was blocked by a glacier. The experience of crossing the bridge was intensified by the wind which used to cause it to swing. Since 2009, stabilizing cables were added to prevent that. But the adrenaline rush is given the gondola ride and the passing of the river gorge makes walking on the bridge even more challenging. Around 20,000 people visit the construction yearly

10 Scariest Swimming Pools You Won’t
    Believe Exist
It sure has been a while since a lot of us have had the chance to take a relaxing swim in a pool and just
let the water surround us. Nothing makes you more relaxed and at peace than a calming swim in a great
    pool.
In this video, we’re bringing you pools from all around the world that will invigorate you and give you
that zing of electricity with their daring heart-dropping locations and structures.
Make sure to stick around to find out why this attraction spot in Australia is one of the most terrifying
pools the world has possibly ever seen. Let’s dive right in!

#10 San Alfonso Del Mar pool, chile

So we are kicking this off with a pool that you can’t swim in. I know, I know, what good is mentioning a
pool that you can’t even take a dip in and enjoy the water? Well, if we were to talk about some of the
most insane and incredible pools in the world, it would be a crime to not mention the magnificent pool
at the San Alfonso Del Mar resort in Chile.
In this world which we know, there are regular pools, great pools, fantastic pools, Olympic-size pools,
and then there is the San Alfonso pool. It holds a league of its own. This pool holds the world record as
the world’s largest swimming pool. Imagine how huge that must be! The large water body is about a
kilometer or 0.6 miles long and can hold 66 gallons of water. However, this pool is not for swimming and
is only regularly allowed for the use of kayaks, canoes, and small boats.
Yearly maintenance is about 4 million dollars and the cost of even constructing this monstrous man-
made body was supposedly over three million dollars. The large volume of water is pumped in by a
unique filter system that flushes in water from the Pacific Ocean to make the pool. Swimming is not
encouraged because the pool is so large that if you ever started to drown, it would be near impossible
for a lifeguard to spot you and save you in time. Isn’t that just incredible?

#9 Hotel Indigo High Rise pool, Hong Kong

The next unbelievable swimming pool we have on our list is this blue-tiled pool at Hotel Indigo in Hong
Kong, China. This high-rise hotel is about 16 stories high and offers an unblocked view way over the
skyline and over the many much lower historic shophouses around the area.
The pool at Hotel Indigo is a charming little secret that you would definitely want to be in on.

    #8 Nemo 33

This one? This one will terrify the guts out of you! Nemo 33 is an indoor diving swimming pool in
Brussels, Belgium. The diving swimming people once held the world record for being the deepest indoor
swimming pool in the world until 2014 when it was knocked over by another pool. The pool goes as
deep as one hundred and thirteen feet and contains six hundred and sixty thousand gallons of water.
Now, why would anyone want to swim that deep? A daredevil would ask you why not?
The swimming facility is made for daredevils, deep-sea divers, and whatever else in between. The
facility, although it is made as possible, can quickly become a nightmare in the blink of an eye. The
facility allows tourists no younger than 12 years old, amateur divers and professional ones too. If you’re
going to be in Brussels, you might want to check out this really bizarre swimming pool. And don’t worry,
no one has died in there yet.

    #7 Golden nugget shark pool

I’ll start by asking why. Why? Why would anyone possibly want to swim with sharks? Of all the animals
in the entire sea, you choose sharks? You must have a lot of nerve to even think of venturing into The
    Golden Nugget Shark pool.
Although to be fair, you don’t actually get in contact with the sharks but the design of the pool makes
you feel like you do. This mind-blowing structure is located in downtown Vegas and has over time
become a must-stop landmark for anyone visiting Vegas. The pool is an enclosed three-story water slide
that lets you get up close and personal with these beasts of the sea. The structure cost tens of millions
of dollars and even has a large team of marine biologists taking care of the sharks. If you would, for
some strange reason, want to get an even closer look, the facility offers tank tours in which you can
swim around but not with these marine beauties, and take a class or two, learning about the various
    species you encounter.

There are hundreds of shark species in the Golden nugget pool so if you have been harboring a shark
fantasy for a while now or you have just been looking for that electric thrill or excitement, here you go.
    You’re welcome.

    11:00

The Seven Wonders of the Natural World may have been named too quickly. Wonders like The Grand Canyon and Victoria Falls are certainly big, and anyone who sees them will surely be impressed—but sheer size isn’t enough to truly leave a person in awe.
There are other places in this world, though, that are far stranger. Places that seem almost alien, as if they could only exist on a planet that evolved separately from our own. These are places that scientists have had to struggle just to understand how they ever could have been formed. Places that will truly make you wonder—not just because they’re beautiful, but because they seem to follow scientific laws that don’t exist anywhere else on earth. Have you ever been chased by a fierce dog, through the streets of your hometown or by a park nearby, when you were young? Lets hope not! But I did, way back in the day. And believe me, its not a nice experience. It is scary as hell! This video shows you some of the fiercest and wildest dogs that you can find in the world. Almost unstoppable as well as dangerous, you will find a big variety of breeds. Click on the video if you are into huge, heavy, and expensive four legged beasts!!

Pets, especially dogs, can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, and even improve your cardiovascular health. Loyalty is also just a natural behavior for dogs. Dogs are pack animals, meaning they are social creatures who prefer the company of other animals. This behavior is a survival mechanism too. Packs succeed because the members of the group depend on one another to survive. Dogs are said to be man’s best friend, while this is true, are you aware that some dogs are not so friendly as you might think? Some dogs are certainly not for Family usage as they are very dangerous. Some of the dogs you see in movies or on the street seem to be cuteness itself. But after the first excitement of getting a dog abates, you may notice that your kid isn’t able to walk the dog on their own.
For a fact that dogs are related to Wolves doesn’t make them dangerous, however, what if there are dangerous dogs out there? Due to frequent attacks on people, certain breeds are banned from breeding but this video will show you the list of top 10 most dangerous dog breeds in the world. We can call them the most dangerous dogs in the world because that’s how humans want them to be due to genetic manipulations.

    Script:
Dogs have gained the unique title of man’s best friend, but these dogs on our list can also be your worst
enemy. Today we will be looking at 10 of the most dangerous dog breeds in the world. Watch out for
number one, they are so fearsome that even the most seasoned of predators have learned to stay away
    from them.

    Number 10. The Doberman Pinscher
Let’s start this this with one of the most feared dogs in the world, and that fear is not unfounded.
Doberman pinschers are one of the most fearsome looking dogs in the world. It has a snarl that would
put fear in the hearts of the bravest men, and a booming bark that would make anyone cower in fear.
But are these menacing qualities only for show? Unfortunately, no.
Doberman pinschers are famous for their agility and tracking abilities, making these breed of intelligent
dog the perfect guard. However, they require a closely monitored training with consistency and
patience. If left untrained or trained improperly, they will be quite hard to manage. Large and extremely
strong, with a bite force that can literally crush bone, Doberman Pinschers are very capable of killing
humans. They are also a very sensitive breed and they don’t take kindly to people who mistreat them. If
maltreated, these monsters can be very aggressive and in most cases, attack without any provocation.

    Number 9. The Wolfdog
Wolfdogs, as the name tells us, is a crossbreed of domesticated dogs and wild wolves. Whoever thought

    Description:
mankind’s existence. Before bridges, you had to scale across mountains, and trudge across rivers, or even try to float your way across to reach to the other side. Much of the time, travelers either didn’t survive, had to delay their trip by finding an alternative route, or they turned around and went home. But truth be told, Mother Nature was the first architect of bridges, where a pile of rocks, or a simple log, provided a way across an obstruction. Seeing this, early societies perfected what nature created, and it’s all be uphill from there.
With the innovation of bridges, scaling mountains and crossing large bodies of water is easier than ever. Bridges can be right above ground, or they can be hundreds of feet in the air. However, if you’re afraid of heights, then the higher the bridge, the scarier it is. Heights alone can be ultimately scary, but add that to even just a well-built bridge and you have some major anxiety heading your way. Now, consider the older bridges that aren’t made so well. Imagine walking across a rickety bridge that is placed high in a mountain. You can see the ground below through the planks of wood, the wind moves the bridge back and forth, and you feel the ropes holding everything together pull and suspend and struggle to keep it all together. Just because it’s the 21st century doesn’t mean that all the world’s bridges have been made well, let alone updated with the latest innovations in dealing with physics and gravity.
For example, the Kakum Canopy Walk in Ghana spans across as beautiful national park. But they bridge is really narrow, and the only thing really keeping you from falling into your doom is the netting around the bridge. The Millau Viaduct in France has become a popular place for base jumpers to get their thrills and jollies. The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge takes tourists around some of Ireland’s most dangerous locations, and most people who cross the bridge once, have to take a helicopter back because they don’t want to go through a second round with the bridge.
The Hussaini Hanging Bridge in Pakistan is one of the more commonly used bridges in the country, as people use it to reach major cities. However, the bridge is missing several wooden planks and hardly looks stable enough to hold even just one person. The bridge honestly looks like it was built in the Middle Ages and hasn’t been updated since.
The Langkawi Sky Bridge in Malaysia is one of the tallest bridges in the world and sweeps and turns through the mountains. It’s large, it has been recently built, and it’s pretty stable. The terrifying thing about it is how high it is, and the fact that you have to use a cable car to reach it in the first place.
