  • 14 Roads You Would Never Want to Drive On

Some people love riding a roller coaster. The feeling of “having their heart in their mouth” makes them thrilled and high on adrenaline. But have you heard of the ways which go through the clouds?
Today, let’s visit the most incredible and dangerous roads in the world. They overshadow even the coolest rides and leave people driving on them breathless and terrified.

    Guoliang Tunnel, China 0:36
    Maeklong Railway Market, Thailand 1:22
    Yungas Road, Bolivia 1:58
    Eyre Highway, Australia 2:47
The “Nose of the Devil” Railway, Ecuador 3:23
    Pamban Railway Bridge, India 3:57
Karakoram Highway, Pakistan - China 4:35
    Passage de Gois, France 5:12
    Leh-Manali Highway, India 5:51
    Tianmen Mountain Road, China 6:24
Road through Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia 6:53
Road through Skippers Canyon, New Zealand 7:34
The James W. Dalton Highway, Alaska, USA 8:22
“Train to the Clouds”, Argentina 9:21

    - The Guoliang Tunnel is an amazing 0,7 mi (1.2 km) long mountain road in China. The story of its creation is unbelievable! Before its construction there had been a very dangerous path with narrow steep stairs which didn’t have any handrails.
    - The sellers take their goods away and fold their tents in seconds, giving way to the train which moves at a speed of about 9 mi/h (15 km/h). This is the reason the market is sometimes called Talat Rom Hoop which means “Market Umbrella Close”.
    - Yungas Road (also called Death Road) connects Bolivian cities of La Paz and Coroico. It descends from the height of 2 miles to 1,181 ft (3,300 to 360 m) above sea level. Despite the fact that the road is very narrow, even trucks manage to pass each other.
    - If you look at this highway, you will surely ask, “So what is so dangerous on this straight road?” Right, this is the longest straight road in the world with the length of about 994 miles (1,600 km)!
    - The “Nose of the Devil” railway is built on the rock which has the same name. It was called this way because people believed that Devil didn’t want a railway to pass through that place - that’s why so many deaths occurred among the people who built the road.
    - Pamban is India’s first sea bridge built in 1914. It connects the mainland part of India with the island which has the same name. In 1964 there was a storm which hit the island. It overturned a passenger train and all 150 people who were inside died.
    - At 807,7 miles (1,300 km) long, Karakoram is considered the world’s most high-altitude international highway. One of its sections passes at the altitude of more than 15,091 ft (4,600 m).
    - This is the road between the island of Noirmoutier and mainland France. This passage seems quite common, doesn’t it? It is, until you get to know that to drive along it, you will need to know the schedule of the tides! In fact, the road is approachable only twice a day - before and right after the low tide.
    - Leh-Manali Highway runs through several high mountain passes. It is located at the altitude of 13,034 to 16,404 ft (4 to 5 km). This road is extremely narrow, covered with dirt and gravel, but this doesn’t prevent local drivers from zooming through at high speeds.
    - This road leads to the top of Tianmen Mountain where a Buddhist temple is situated. It is only 6.8 miles (11 km) long but it can boast 99 bends with the distance between some of the curves less than 656 ft (200 m)!
    - The highway which runs through the dried Solar de Uyuni is located at the altitude of 11,811 ft (3,650 m) above sea level. Local landscapes are so unusual that they can be taken for some extraterrestrial grounds!
    - This road was built in 1880s and it is a true wonder of engineering. The construction took only 5 years and it has remained mostly unchanged since then! This amazing passage has numerous holes, cliffs, steep descents and sharp bends.
    - Only 108,7 miles (175 km) of this 413,8 miles (666 km) highway are covered with bitumen, the rest of the way you have to drive on gravel. Tough weather conditions, winds, unexpected changes from 2 to 4 lanes and back, poor visibility have made this road particularly deadly.
    - If you decide to make a 15-hour train journey, be ready to pass through 21 tunnels, 42 bridges and viaducts, 2 spirals and 2 more zigzags on the 134,8 mi (217 km) road! This railway is one of the highest in the world, its top point (at the end of the line) is situated at the altitude of 13,780 ft (4,200 km).

  • SCARIEST Bridges And Roads You Can Travel On

Roads and bridges are things that are used to travel more efficiently from place to place. They certainly help when it comes to crossing water or great heights between mountains, although those same traits also make these passages absolutely terrifying. These are the Scariest Bridges And Roads You Can Travel On. We wouldn’t recommend going to any of them. Just trust us.

#8 - Zhangjiajie Glass Walk Bridge
Just a year ago, China opened a breathtaking glass skywalk that had been added to Hunan’s mountainous landscapes. The winding bridge is 1,410 feet long and, as you can see from these frightening photos, it hovers 984 feet above the ground. This would be the very last place in the world you would find us. You’re on your own if you want to go check this scary bridge out.

    #7 - Lake Pontchartrain Causeway
You might be able to guess why the bridge in this picture made it into this video just by looking at it. It’s not particularly high, and it actually only sits 16 feet above the water. The bridge connects the two Louisiana towns of Metairie and Mandeville. It stretches an incredible 24 miles across the lake. If that wasn’t scary enough, once you get about eight miles into the bridge, you no longer have a visual of land.

#6 - Captain William Moore Bridge
Although the bridge in this photo isn’t all that scary to look at, once you find out about the surroundings and the structural integrity of this bridge, you might just change your mind. This bridge is located in Alaska and it crosses over an ACTIVE earthquake fault. The engineers who designed the bridge planned for the potential disaster and only anchored one end of the bridge securely. Now, when the ground trembles and shifts, the bridge won’t just be torn apart. However, we want to know how it’s still safe with only one end secured. How does that work?

    #5 - Millau Viaduct, France
The bridge in this picture gives us the same thrilling fear as riding a roller coaster. The bridge pictured here is the Millau Viaduct located in France. The tallest part of the bridge, from the valley floor to tip of the mast is 1,125 feet tall, which is taller than the Eiffel Tower! It may be less than two miles in length, but this is another path we just aren’t going to bother taking.

    #4 - The Confederation Bridge
This bridge located in Canada made it into this video not because it is incredibly tall and you’re scared of heights, but because it is a long eight miles to the other side. You can see just how long it is in this picture. While that in itself doesn’t seem to shiver worthy, the fact that it is the longest bridge crossing over ice cold water in the world, does. Yes, there are ones that are miles longer, but supposedly not over such freezing waters. This one billion dollar bridge probably won’t just dump you in the water as it crumbles, but that fear factor that it will is still alive and well.

    #3 - Hussaini Hanging Bridge
Hanging bridge is right! Though it should really be called “hanging by a thread bridge,” just look at the mess in this picture, someone come collect their granny, she needs help! This rickety cable and wood bridge is located in Pakistan, and you couldn’t pay us enough to cross it. The bridge crosses over the rapidly flowing Hunza River and the tattered and worn remains of the previous bridges hang right next to the one being currently used. To make this bridge that much more unbearable, it was swallowed up by flood waters in 2010. Although there has been a newer one built, it doesn't seem any safer.

    #2 - Monkey Bridges
If you told us that we would have to walk across the scary skinny bridge pictured here, we would have laughed into next week. There’s just no way. Even though this bridge seems like a joke in a movie, these “monkey” bridges are used as a quick passage in several parts of Vietnam. The name “Monkey” bridge comes from the stooped posture you have to adopt when crossing. Just so you know how crazy this bridge is, it is exactly as it looks in the picture; the bridge is made from a single bamboo log with one or two handrails. If you think crossing this is a good idea, best of luck to you and we’ll see you down at the bottom of the river, since you’re certainly falling in.

    #1 - Eshima Ohashi Bridge
This terrifying bridge wasn’t a nightmare constructed by an architect but if you looked at this picture of the bridge, you would think it was. This mile long bridge spans across Lake Nakaumi and links the city of Matsue to the city of Sakaiminato. The reason for the sudden climb in the bridge is meant to allow entire barges or ships underneath without incident. Although this bridge looks absolutely terrifying at about a 45-degree angle, it is actually not that steep, and a side view of the bridge shows that the highest point is reached with a gradual incline. It’s not at all how it appears.

  • The 12 Most Dangerous Bridges In The World

When it comes to getting somewhere-- humans have always bridged the gap! From ancient times to modern, many structures have come and gone-- but bridges are always here to stay! However, far from being a scenic part of your daily walk, the bridges on this list are downright life-threatening. Built all over the world, some of these are built specifically to feel as scary and dangerous as possible and some are just that way because of neglect. One of them even requires you to walk like a monkey to cross it!

Let’s take a look at twelve of the most dangerous bridges in the world!

    Royal Gorge Bridge

The Royal Gorge Bridge is the highest suspension bridge in the United States. It’s located within the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park near Canon City, Colorado. The Park is located around the edge of the Royal Gorge, a canyon of the Arkansas River.

The Bridge is nine hundred and fifty-five feet above the river! It even held the world record for the highest bridge in the world from 1929 to 2001. It’s a popular tourist attraction and you can take in the magnificent sight of Colorado’s natural beauty from it.

    Monkey Bridges

These bridges in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam are notoriously precarious. It’s easy for locals to go over them because they’re used to it, but visitors have a really hard time keeping their balance. They’re called “Monkey Bridges” because the way you’re required to walk over them makes you look like a monkey!

They’re made of bamboo or wood. Sometimes a bridge might just be made of one bamboo stick! Imagine how difficult it may be to cross that. These bridges are mostly built over streams or gullies and are considered unique to Vietnam. They even inspired the name of American author Lan Cao’s novel Monkey Bridge.

  • 12 Most Dangerous Islands You NEVER Want To Visit!

Top most dangerous islands you don’t want to visit! These are the craziest and scariest islands and most dangerous islands you never want to visit!

    #5. “Saba”-- Netherlands Caribbean
If you are willing to brave the rocky but short twelve minute plane ride from St. Maarten to Saba, the smallest island in the Dutch Antilles you will be graced with a view like none other, a place that looks trapped in the ancient past. Upon arrival you will find a village nestled upon a volcano that is full of vibrant atmosphere with live music, family owned restaurants featuring fresh caught cuisine and plenty of outdoor activities like scuba-diving and hiking for nature lovers. But all this comes at a cost. You might say that the locals have become such experts at having a good time because at any moment it could all be destroyed. Tourists have been known to call it ‘The Unspoiled Queen of the Caribbean’ but it could be more accurately described as ‘Hurricane Island’. Because of its location right in the Atlantic’s hurricane alley, the island has been noted for being hit by the most hurricanes of any island on Earth. Despite the constant attacks that mother nature brings down upon Saba its people still find a way to survive and rebuild time and time again.

    #4. “Rockall”-- Ireland
The tiny 80 foot wide island known as Rockall which lies nearly three-hundred miles off of Scotland’s western shore has such an imposing presence it has made its way into Irish and Scottish legends as well as popular culture through music, books and television. People have long been entranced with its simple yet powerful structure with some ancient myths going as far to name it the location where the apocalypse will begin. The real life danger is in the fact that the island itself, is essentially a large granite rock sticking out of the ocean--the remnants of an extinct volcano. Because of its steep incline on all sides there is really only one place for a person to stand, the peak, which you can only get to if you are a skilled rock-climber. Even if you are it isn’t recommended that you try climbing the relatively short summit of 65 feet as the island is smack dab in the part of the ocean that boasts waves which reach upwards of 100 feet. Despite their being no natural value to the island other than its looks, Rockall was considered an extremely important strategic location by the United Kingdom who claimed the island in fear of it falling into the hands of the USSR and being used to house a missile silo. Britain’s claim to the island also has the historical distinction of being their last modern day territorial acquisition.

  • The Worlds Most WOW Bridge In Japan

If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it’s like to ride a roller coaster sitting in your car, then the Eshima Ohashi Bridge in Japan might be your chance! Even looking at the pictures of this bridge gives us the chills! How do cars climb up the bridge? Why was it built this way?

First things first, this Japanese bridge is not as scary as it seems. Yes, it does look ridiculously steep from a far distance. It seems like cars would just slip and slide right back down.
But in fact, you don’t have to be a hell of a driver to go across this bridge. Thousands of cars cross it every day. It’s all a matter of perspective. If you look at it from a different angle, it looks more like an ordinary bridge with a relatively steep incline, but quite possible to handle. If you watch a video of a person driving over it, you might find yourself a little disappointed.

    Japanese bridge 0:24
Sidu River Bridge in China 1:44
    Millau Viaduct in France 2:18
    Rolling Bridge in England 2:57
The Gateshead Millenium Bridge in England 3:20
    Ponte Vecchio in Florence 3:43

    - China: This is one of the highest bridges in the world right. It was built at an incredible 1509 feet (460 meters) across the Sidu River. Well, if you’re there, don’t look down.
    - The funny thing about this French bridge is that its highest is 62 feet (19 meters) taller than the Eiffel Tower. It connects two large plateaus, so the view from the bridge itself is incredible and, honestly speaking, quite scary especially in foggy weather!
    - What looks like a small wheel in London is a bridge! Every Friday it rolls out and becomes a usual insignificant bridge until it turns into a wheel again!
    - This is the only bridge in the world that tilts! Normally it’s just a pedestrian bridge. But when there is a boat or a ship that needs to pass underneath it the entire thing tilts giving the water transport enough room to squeeze in.
    - Unlike the previous super modern bridges, Ponte Vecchio was built back in the Roman times! Of course, it has been rebuilt and upgraded a few times since then. By the way, Vecchio is Italian for «old», so it definitely lives up to its name!

Since the invention of the modern automobile, we have been in love with our cars, trucks and motorcycles. It’s hard to think how we could function on a daily basis without a personal car around to take us to the grocery store, movie theatre or over to a friend’s house. This mode of transportation is such an important part of most peoples’ lives that we have no idea how we’d cope if cars suddenly disappeared tomorrow. Sure, most cars pollute and after a decade or so we get rid of the old and bring in a new car – filling up wrecking yards and burnings tons of gasoline in the process. The automobile is so important that rather than develop a whole new mode of transportation we instead focus our energy on creating more efficient gasoline burning engines and new models of electric cars. Nonetheless, the car is an integral part of our lives and our culture.
Of course, many people have often heard the saying (but never really payed any attention to it) that driving is one of the most dangerous things we do in our daily lives. Indeed, getting behind the wheel of your ride and heading off to work or some other destination can be very dangerous. Statistically, the number crunchers say that you are far more likely to die driving your car than flying in a plane. The numbers seem to back this up by showing that over 90 people are killed every day in motor vehicle accidents in the US alone. It all makes sense once you think about it. If you think about all the people out on the road and add in distracted and drunk drivers, mechanical failures and bad weather then it’s easy to see why driving can be so dangerous.
But what about the actual sections of roads and highways that seemingly have a high number of accidents and fatalities all year round. That is, it can be bad enough driving on ‘regular’ roads and highways around the world but there are roads which, for whatever reason, just seem more dangerous than the rest. You are probably picturing the classic mountain side road, carved into the rock with minimal safety barriers and exposed to landslides and all the inclement weather you can think of. Yes, those roads are very dangerous, but they aren’t the only ones to avoid driving on.
As part two of our ‘dangerous roads’ series, we look at 10 roads you probably wouldn’t want to drive on. These motorways are found all across the world, in all sorts of environments and at all sorts of altitudes. There are the expected mountain roads – narrow and crumbling where one small mistake means you are going for a very long fall. There are also the remote and isolated highways running through deserts and the vastness of Siberia. There are even the sea level roads which provide their own nasty little surprise that can ruin your day (or life). We guarantee that after seeing this your daily commute will appear to be a walk in the park.

  • Japans Most Terrifying Bridge: Eshima Ohashi

It's been nicknamed the ROLLER COASTER BRIDGE because of it's super steep slope and appearance of being a bridge to the sky.
That's the Eshima Ohashi Bridge straddling Shimane and Tottori prefecture in Japan.

    Facts about the Eshima Ohashi:
    ★ 1,446 meters long
★ 250 meters of continupus concrete in the center (the third longest Ramen bridge in the world!)
★ 6.1% grade slope on the Shimane Prefecture side
★ 5.1% grade on the Tottori side
★ The bridge needed to be high in the center to allow large shops to pass under.
☆ From the Shimane side, you can get the optical illusion view at the end of the street by the sea.
☆ If you have a good telephoto lens, go even further to the other side of the sea for a better shot. (Map below)

The bridge has a good pedestrian footpath on both sides of the road.
Bicycles are not allowed on the footpath so stay on the main road with the car, to the left side.
There is an observation point on the top that offers sweeping views all the way to Daisen (mountain).

The closest major access point is Yonago Station and airport on the Sea of Japan. From there, take a train to Sakaiminato and rent a bicycle or grab a taxi.
Sakaiminato is also famous for Japanese anime and the main street is like a museum of monsters!

The bridge is a 20 minute ride from Sakai Minato.
Take food with you from the station.

The howling wind blows the rickety footbridge from side to side. Somewhere below you lies the forest floor—you don’t even know how far.
Is this an irrational fear? Not necessarily. Gephyrophobia—the fear of bridges—is an accepted psychological diagnosis.

The scariest bridges to cross around the world.
    Subscribe to our channel:

mankind’s existence. Before bridges, you had to scale across mountains, and trudge across rivers, or even try to float your way across to reach to the other side. Much of the time, travelers either didn’t survive, had to delay their trip by finding an alternative route, or they turned around and went home. But truth be told, Mother Nature was the first architect of bridges, where a pile of rocks, or a simple log, provided a way across an obstruction. Seeing this, early societies perfected what nature created, and it’s all be uphill from there.
With the innovation of bridges, scaling mountains and crossing large bodies of water is easier than ever. Bridges can be right above ground, or they can be hundreds of feet in the air. However, if you’re afraid of heights, then the higher the bridge, the scarier it is. Heights alone can be ultimately scary, but add that to even just a well-built bridge and you have some major anxiety heading your way. Now, consider the older bridges that aren’t made so well. Imagine walking across a rickety bridge that is placed high in a mountain. You can see the ground below through the planks of wood, the wind moves the bridge back and forth, and you feel the ropes holding everything together pull and suspend and struggle to keep it all together. Just because it’s the 21st century doesn’t mean that all the world’s bridges have been made well, let alone updated with the latest innovations in dealing with physics and gravity.
For example, the Kakum Canopy Walk in Ghana spans across as beautiful national park. But they bridge is really narrow, and the only thing really keeping you from falling into your doom is the netting around the bridge. The Millau Viaduct in France has become a popular place for base jumpers to get their thrills and jollies. The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge takes tourists around some of Ireland’s most dangerous locations, and most people who cross the bridge once, have to take a helicopter back because they don’t want to go through a second round with the bridge.
The Hussaini Hanging Bridge in Pakistan is one of the more commonly used bridges in the country, as people use it to reach major cities. However, the bridge is missing several wooden planks and hardly looks stable enough to hold even just one person. The bridge honestly looks like it was built in the Middle Ages and hasn’t been updated since.
The Langkawi Sky Bridge in Malaysia is one of the tallest bridges in the world and sweeps and turns through the mountains. It’s large, it has been recently built, and it’s pretty stable. The terrifying thing about it is how high it is, and the fact that you have to use a cable car to reach it in the first place.
To learn more about these terrifying bridges and be introduced to a few more, check out the video and get your anti-anxiety meds ready.

To many people, crossing a bridge should have been an option. But some others love a little thrill in their daily life and won’t do anything to miss out on crossing over a tall bridge, particularly if it gives them a good view of the world around them. But even if you have a heart of stone and a sheer will of steel, some bridges are just too scary to be crossed. But if you’re ready to take the leap of faith, let’s meet them with the top 10 scariest bridges you don’t want to cross.
Number 10: The Grand Canyon Glass Bridge in China
If we define a bridge as something that allows us to cross to the other end, then, the Zhangjiajie Canyon bridge also simply known as “the glass bridge,” is more of a tourist attraction than a bridge. It is the tallest and the longest glass bridge in the whole wide world with scenery that blows your mind to heaven. Opened in 2016, this place has since taken the internet by storm with its 1,400 feet long pane of glass. Many people describe it as a magnificent combination of beautiful and thrilling. And when you come to think of it, it’s truly an amazing place to take the ultimate selfie. Well… that’s if you’re bold enough to cross. You see, 980 feet below this wonderful futuristic glass bridge is a verdant gorge the size of a small village. What’s worse, you get to see everything below you as clear as day. If you’re one of the many millennial travelers who pick their vacation based on something they see on the internet, then prepare to make a trip to China. With a heart of stone, of course.

Number 9: The Monkey Bridge in Vietnam
You get the creeps when you visit some places and you can even tell some bridges are scary and dangerous as soon as you see them. Like the monkey bridges in Vietnam, you don’t need anyone to tell you about watching your six whenever you’re crossing them. That’s if you dare to take the first step anyway. Locals who walk over them have been doing so for quite a long time. But for a rookie like you, just know you’re doing it wrong if you’re not hanging tight to handrails. Even with that, many tourists have begun to see the bridges as an emblem of Vietnam. Also known as Cau khis in the native tongues, Monkey bridges are handmade and as you can see, made of thin wooden plank usually just one or two. Sometimes the planks can be as much as 3 but that’s just as wide as they go. Seeing someone move across the bridge reminds us of circus performers who walk over tiny tight-ropes. Only this time, people do it over rivers and gullies that could even be infested with dangerous snakes and tiny crocs.

Number 8: The Overtoun Bridge in Scotland
The Overtoun bridge sits quietly in Dumbarton, Scotland. One regular look at this bridge and nothing would seem out of the ordinary. It’s not tall, not long, neither was it made with a transparent glass bottom. But if you think of this bridge as anything mundane, then you will be horribly wrong. According to verified reports, this bridge is not dangerous to humans, yes but to our dogs, it’s a one-way ticket to uhm… should we say grim reaper? Well, we don’t know. But be that as it may, dogs are said to jump over the railings into the river anytime they cross over the bridge. Without exaggeration, about 300 dogs have sailed off the bridge with about 50 dead. In our world rife with superstitions, myths about water spirits and demons have filled the air. But the authentic reason why these dogs jump to their early grave is still an enduring mystery. Bear this in mind anyway: if you’re a dog lover and you can’t do without Jack or Bonnie standing beside as you walk down a bridge in your area, just don’t think about crossing the Overtoun Bridge in Scotland.

Number 7: The Duge Bridge in China
The Duge bridge is the highest and the 2nd-longest in the world, standing at over 1850 feet above the ground. Bring that to perspective, you have about 200-floor-high skyscrapers. Like many of the other scary bridges on today's list, it was built above a verdant gorge, well supplied with a fast-flowing river. It took only 4 years to complete and was erected as an extension of a major road, midway between the Xuanwei and Luipanshui cities in China. But aside from the terrifying height, the scary vibe that emanates from the dead-fast currents below it is enough to wreck your nerves.

  • 15 Scariest Bridges In The World

Is there any feat of engineering as awesome as the bridge? We don’t think so! Millions of people around the world rely on bridges to help them pass safely from one side of the river to the other, saving everyone a whole lot of time and energy. Where would we be without bridges! Yep, there’s no doubt about it, these epic water crossings are a lifesaver- but not all bridges were created equally. In fact, some of them are downright petrifying! From the wooden suspension bridge slowly rotting in the Pakistani mountains, to the Russian bridge that is permanently coated in a deadly layer of ice, these are the 15 Scariest Bridges In The World

10 Most TERRIFYING Bridges In The World!

Fair warning, the bridges you are going to see here are down-right terrifying.
You are not going to want to look down when making your way across these vertigo- inducing bridges. Some of the bridges will cause gephyrophobia just by looking at them. Gephyrophobia is the irrational fear of bridges. Apparently, that’s a thing!
Some bridges will sway as you cross, others have massive gaps wide enough for a person to fall through, and others have steep slopes after impossible engineering that will make you wonder just how some of these bridges were built.
These are the world’s most terrifying bridges.
Also, be sure to stay to the end of the video to find out why this bridge in Russia is famous for all the wrong reasons.

    #1: Sochi Skybridge, Russia
The magnificent Sochi Skybridge is said to be one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world. Located North-East of the 2014 Winter Olympics host city, this 439-meter-long footbridge in the sky dares to challenge the limits of wild adventure lovers.
The bridge itself is built in the middle of an AJ Hackett operated sky park, making it a thrill sports attraction that is sure to deliver the perfect adrenaline rush to get your pulse racing.
Two observation pods within the bridge offer the most panoramic views of the Akhshtyr Gorge, the Mzymta River Valley, and the Black sea coast. These are sights that are sure to take your breath away.
But first, are you ready to brave a chilling walk, 207 meters off the ground?
Although AJ Hackett assures visitors that the bridge is built to withstand a magnitude-9 earthquake, rain, snow, ice, and hurricane winds, walking across the seemingly unending span, looking down at the Krasnaya Polyana valley, is frightening, to say the least.
If you don’t have the courage to walk across, you can always strap up and take the zip-wire ride on the MegaTroll, which will take you at 120km/h top speed!
I’d also suggest bungee jumping if you make it.

#2: Titlis Cliff Walk Bridge, Switzerland
This is a one-million-dollar suspension bridge set alongside the tallest mountain located in the Swiss Alps, making it Europe’s highest suspension bridge, 3,048 meters above sea level.
This incredible bridge has a 100-meter span with a mere meter in width. The bridge design itself is quite imposing and it is said to offer spectacular views to visitors who make it to the Titlis Cliff Walk.
What makes this bridge terrifying is that it hangs a whopping 500 meters above a glacier -don’t look down if you’re scared of heights.
Another thing that will probably keep your nerves constantly on edge is the fact that the bridge is entirely supported by the steel cables from which it hangs.
Although the Titlis Engelberg officials assure visitors that the bridge is completely safe, they do recognize, however, that you’ll need strong nerves to cross their bridge.

#3: Hanging Bridge of Ghasa, Nepal
At first glance, this suspended bridge looks like the scariest passage on this list. Well, you’re right to be scared.
Not only is it laid at a frightening height of 343 meters above the Kali Gandaki river valley just outside the town of Ghasa, but it is also very narrow and looks quite fragile. And if that doesn’t terrify you enough, the recurrent gusts of wind that keeps shaking the bridge will undoubtedly scare you stiff.
But who uses this extremely unstable-looking bridge anyway?
Apparently, this bridge is an essential crossing for local herders and farmers. It is actively used to ferry not just people but also herds of farm animals.
In fact, the bridge was built for this particular reason.
Before the bridge was constructed, herds of cattle would congest the villages and narrow mountain roads, making traffic flow almost impossible. This bridge became the alternative route for the local shepherds and their animals to access the neighboring villages.
And, yes, the bridge is completely safe to cross. It is equipped with high railings and really tough steel wire ropes, which are structurally reliable.
Even so, that doesn’t take away the fear factor entirely since not all travelers find the courage to cross this bridge. Herders have put blinders on their animals so they don’t get nervous while on the deck.
    #4: Previous I-35W Bridge, USA
Some bridges may look strong and completely safe to drive over, but they are, in fact, a horror story waiting to happen. The collapsed I-35W Mississippi River Bridge was one such bridge.
Officially known as the Bridge 9340, this eight-lane bridge crossing over the Saint Anthony Falls of the Mississippi River was opened in 1967 and expected to last fifty years.

    12. Glass Walkways In China
Did you know there’s a term for a phobia of bridges? It’s called gephyrophobia, and it sometimes goes hand-in-hand with a fear of heights, called acrophobia, or a feeling of being trapped, known as agoraphobia. Do you have these? Let me know in the comments!!

    11. Kuandinsky Bridge
The Kuandinsky Bridge in Siberia is an old train bridge that crosses over the Vitim River. While the train bridge has been rebuilt, the old structure remains and is part of the Baikal-Amur Mainline Road, a popular attraction for adventure-seekers.

    10. Trift Bridge, Switzerlan
There are many bridges in Switzerland, but easily one of the scariest and most dangerous ones is the Trift Bridge. It might make you feel a bit nauseous! It’s a pedestrian suspension bridge high up in the Alps. It's pretty long, at 170 meters (560 feet) and hangs at 100 meters (330 feet) into the air.

    9. Hussaini Hanging Bridge
Many consider the Hussaini Hanging Bridge in northern Pakistan to be the world’s most dangerous bridge. It runs across the Hunza River and is made of ropes and planks with massive gaps in-between. The bridge is prone to swinging wildly, courtesy of the nearly-constant cold winds from the nearby mountains. So not only is it scary, but also cold! No thanks!!

    8. Chesapeake Bay Bridge
Built in 1952, the William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial Bridge spans Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay. At 4.3 miles (6.9 km) long, it was once the world’s longest continuous over-water steel structure.
