  • 15 Most Dangerous Pets People Actually Own

    17:36

Over 10,000 years ago man domesticated goats, this was the first effort by mankind to tame the incredible power of the wild. Since then, we have continued to share our lives with a variety of creatures, for some people that means cats, dogs, goldfish, and guinea pigs, but some people just aren’t satisfied with traditional pets and they pursue stranger and stranger animals to keep as pets. For some owners, this can mean one or two exotic birds, but for others, this might mean enormous jungle cats or fierce reptiles! Today we’re looking at 15 of the most dangerous pets people actually own.

    Lion

Humaid AlbuQuaish is a multi-billionaire from the United Arab Emirates, but in addition to cars and property, he also has an amazing collection of exotic animals! His social media accounts are packed with incredible pictures of him with some rather unconventional pets including, various species of monkeys and orangutans. But possibly his most shocking pets are among his collection of large cats including tigers, cheetahs, and most astonishingly a lion! In photos and video, AlbuQuaish poses in a whole bunch of seemingly dangerous situations with his enormous feline friend. Some of the wildest videos of him include the lion chewing gently on his arm, and a picture of a lioness biting his head. It goes without saying that AlbuQuaish trusts these animals with his life and he should! Almost all of them have been hand-raised by him personally since they were just tiny,

but raising wild animals has definitely come with its share of cuts and scrapes, after all these creatures haven’t been domesticated for generations in the same way that our household cats and dogs have been. Some of his other exotic pets include flamingos, turtles, panthers, hyenas, and even a pygmy marmoset. But his collection isn’t without controversy, and many accuse him of imprisoning the animals for his own personal amusement. Judging from the array of photos on his Insta though, it would seem that all these creatures do quite well living together and he seems pretty comfortable with them, but I don’t think you would catch me feeding my arm to a 400lb lion even if he looked fairly friendly.

    Alligator

Mary Thorn loves her pet, Rambo, with all of her heart, after all, she’s had him for well over a decade, during that time they have made some pretty fond memories, including long walks and dressing up in silly costumes...but there’s one catch, Thorn’s pet isn’t a cat or dog, in fact, Rambo is a six-foot six-inch-long alligator. Thorn got the gator when it was a little over a foot-long, but unfortunately, Rambo has a rare skin sensitivity which has led his owner to find an assortment of fun outfits for him, as time went on the locals around Lakeland, Florida began to take notice of

the odd pair and before long they were making appearances at schools and local events. It seemed that Rambo was beloved by everyone who met him, however in 2016 when she tried to renew the unique license she has to own Rambo, she got quite a surprise. According to Florida Fish and Wildlife, Rambo grew too large for her property when he exceeded 6 feet - unable to move to a larger property it looked like Thorn may have to give up her beloved gator. After months of grueling legal battles though she was finally allowed to keep Rambo and the two of them are living happily ever after.

    Kojak The Croc

The last thing you might think anyone can keep as a pet is exactly what this family decided to keep! This 9ft long croc weighs 900 kg and is an important part of the family. While owning exotic animals is a common occurrence in Indonesia, keeping a gigantic croc as a pet certainly is unusual. However, after viral videos of Kojak started to circulate online officials from the natural resources conservation agency came to remove Kojak from Erwin and his family's home much to their heartbreak.

Crocodiles are protected animals under Indonesian law hence Kojak was taken to Taman Safari conservation park. Veterinarians put Kojak on a strict diet control given he had been treating himself rather luxuriously at home. It all ended up for the best since Kojak ended up in a place more suitable for a crocodile-like him.

    Kid And His Pet Python

Three-month-old Sambath of Cambodia developed a bond with a tiny snake his mother found in the house and the family decided to keep it as a pet and name it Chamroeun! The friendship grew so much that the kid would hug, cuddle and even sleep together in his crib! And not so long after that, the snake grew into a 16 foot long, 220-pound creature, yet by then they had developed an unbreakable bond, and the boy and snake’s strange friendship started to gain attention worldwide and tourists would flok to their home to witness the unique friendship for themselves.

But here’s why pythons aren’t meant to be kept as pets: this enormous snake bit the boy the family was forced to give up their fanged family member. Sambath was heartbroken but reportedly told the press that he wants his next pet to be a bunny rabbit.

    15:17

In the wild, all animals are at risk. Some more than others, but if they don’t watch their back, their lives may very well be cut short. Sometimes they get lucky and another animal from another species, they’ve never seen before may lend a helping hand. Sometimes, the reason why is unknown. Regardless, they should just count themselves lucky.

    Baboons Rescue Antelope

Baboons can become vicious when they are threatened and will gang up on predators to defend their territory, but what about when another animal is in trouble? Watch how this cheetah targets an antelope and see what happens next. After a quick run, the cheetah finally captures the antelope, but a group of baboons intervenes, and the cheetah abandons its prey. The baboons stand up to the cheetah who hisses at them, and they even chase it for a short distance scaring the cheetah off. The baboons even go check out the antelope to see if it's okay. The antelope seems injured, breathing on the ground, but eventually gets up and has difficulty walking among the baboons, but will live to see another day. Baboons gang up on a leopard this time and they chase it away. Baboons are fierce opponents, and they shouldn’t be messed with.

    Bear Rescues Crow

Bears have been known to be nice. Watch what happens when this bear finds a crow drowning in a pond next to it. The bear notices the crow and reaches out to it with its paw as if to lift it out of the water. Maybe it is to eat it but let us watch and see before we jump to conclusions. The bear pulls the crow out of the water with its mouth clinging to one of the crow’s wings and just drops the crow on the ground before attending to its food. The crow looks a little out of it and tries getting back on its feet, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to be easy. Eventually, the crow can get up and the bear still has its back turned away from the crow. Believe it or not, the bear actually saved the crow from drowning, because it had absolutely no interest in the crow afterward. What a great feat by this friendly and cuddly bear. This next clip shows a crow annoying a big polar bear who does not seem to mind the crow plucking at its fur. It finally feels something and turns around, notices the crow, but doesn’t really care.

    Cape Buffalo

The most remarkable thing about cape buffaloes is they’re so dangerous they’re known as the Black Death! These magnificent beasts are one of the five most difficult African species to hunt on foot, according to big game hunters. The other four members are the African lion, leopard, African elephant, and rhinoceros, although the cape buffalo kills more big game hunters than the other four animals combined. Although the Cape Buffalo is an herbivorous bovine, effectively a plant-eating cow, it is aggressive and spiteful. There are several reports of them using their legendary memories and incredible perseverance to wreak retribution on hunters who shoot at or damage them, displaying perhaps a bit more intelligence than a standard bovine.

Hunting groups have been stalked by Cape buffalo, who have hidden in wait and ambushed their pursuers. Thousands of people are said to be charged each year. With the points of their massive, curving horns or by head butting with their boss, a thick horn shield that surrounds the skull where the horns emerge, they may attack and cause considerable injury. The largest males can weigh up to 2,000 pounds and stand 6 feet tall at the shoulder, and it takes about ten years to achieve full size. Large predators rarely attack fully developed buffalo, but frail adults and calves are prey for lions. Attacking any individual of a Cape buffalo herd is dangerous even for a big pride of lions. Many lions have succumbed to the Cape buffalo's lethal horns, and herd members would rush to one another's rescue.

    Lion

The lion is a huge, muscular cat with short legs and a long body and is often referred to as the king of the jungle. The size and look of males and females differ significantly. The male's most distinguishing feature is his mane, which differs between individuals and communities. It can be completely absent, fringed around the face, or full and shaggy, covering the back of the head, neck, and shoulders and going across the throat and chest to join a fringe along the belly. The mane and fringe of certain lions are extremely dark, practically black, giving the animal a magnificent aspect. Males with manes appear larger, which can be used to intimidate rivals or impress potential mates. A fully grown adult reaches around 3 and a half feet tall at the shoulder and weighs 370–500 pounds.

Lions eat a wide range of animals, from mice and baboons to Cape Buffalo and hippos, although they prefer to hunt medium- to large-sized hoofed mammals like wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes. Geographically, as well as between nearby pride, prey choices differ. Elephants and giraffes have been known to be taken by lions, but only when they are young or unwell. They devour any flesh they can get their paws on, including carrion and new kills scavenged from hyenas, cheetahs, and wild dogs. Lionesses who live in open savannas conduct most of the hunting, while males often eat from the females' kills. Male lions, on the other hand, are skilled hunters and hunt often in some locations. In scrub or woodland habitats, pride males spend less time with the ladies and hunt most of their own food. Male nomads must always be self-sufficient in terms of food. No one likes to tangle with a lion because it is a fearless animal

  • 14 Scary But Not Dangerous Animals

    9:26

Imagine you’re scuba diving in the ocean, watching corals and colorful fish flitting by, when suddenly an enormous shadow appears above you. You look up and see a massive creature approaching you, its mouth a gaping abyss… Relax, just stay still and you’ll be fine. This leviathan is a basking shark — one of the scary sea monsters that isn’t really capable of doing harm to anyone. Basking sharks are filter feeders, just like baleen whales: they open their large mouths to swallow plankton and don’t even have teeth.

Mother Nature is always full of surprises. It's hard to believe how many incredible and different creatures live on our planet! Some of them look terribly scary but they are not dangerous at all! They can look scary based on their large size, sharp teeth, or thorns, but all of these animals are mostly harmless to us. For example, tailless whip scorpions you might meet in North and South America, as well as Asia and Africa, are more afraid of you than you are of them. These nightmarish creatures don’t have stingers and won’t even bite when threatened. So, we gathered some new facts about the animal world. After watching the video, you'll realize how diverse and amazing it really is.

10 Most DANGEROUS Ocean Creatures In The World!

    If you're new, Subscribe! →

The ocean is the world’s largest habitat; therefore, it contains the most number of animal species in the
world; some of which can be very dangerous. Today we will be looking at 10 of the most dangerous
ocean creatures in the world. Make sure you stay tuned till number one. You will come face to face with
the creature solely responsible for the drastic drop in number of people going to beaches in the mid
    70’s.

    Number 10. The Flower Urchin
Many of you will have come across sea urchins at some point, and some will have found out the hard
way what those sharp spines are for – I certainly have. However, the flower urchin is in a league of its
own when it comes to defensive weaponry. Described by the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s
“most dangerous sea urchin” this is one echinoderm you don’t want to be standing on.
What makes this urchin deadly is the potent venom it is armed with. This venom contains at least two
dangerous toxins; Contractin A, a neurotoxin which causes spasms of the smooth muscles, and peditoxin
    – a protein toxin which can cause convulsions, anaphalactic-type shock and death. The venom is
delivered via the pedicellariae – these are the flower-like structures that give the urchin its name. Once
contact is made with the skin the pedicellariae often break off and continue pumping poison into the
victim. Apparently the size of these pedicellariae is directly related to the potency of the venom.
The flower urchin has been responsible for a number of deaths over the years. As well as being intensely
painful, the urchin sting can result in paralysis, breathing problems, and disorientation can all contribute
    to drowning.

    Number 9. The Great Barracuda
Measuring up to 6ft in length and armed with a terrifying array of super-sharp teeth, the torpedo-like
barracuda is more than capable of inflicting serious injuries. There are actually 22 species of barracuda
but it is only the great barracuda that has been known to attack humans.
The barracuda’s diet consists mainly of small and medium sized fish. It uses its lightning speed and
ambush tactics to catch them. Many of the recorded attacks on humans seem to have involved shiny
objects such as jewelry or even diving knives. Apparently the barracuda are attracted to these, confusing
them with prey fish and strike.
Such attacks can leave the victim with deep gashes, often resulting in nerve and tendon damage or in
the worst case severing blood vessels. These injuries can require hundreds of stitches to patch up.
On rare occasions barracudas have been known to leap out of the water and cause serious injury to
people in boat. One recent case in Florida left a female canoeist fighting for her life after suffering
broken ribs and a punctured lung after a barracuda attack.

    Number 8. The Cone Snail

The cone snail has been a favorite among shell collectors for centuries, but don’t be fooled by its pretty
appearance, these snails are killers! Armed with tiny harpoons formed from modified teeth these
critters can fire a hollow barb loaded with deadly neurotoxins in any direction. The harpoon of some of
the larger species of cone snail is big and powerful enough to not only penetrate human skin, but gloves
    or wetsuits too.
A single drop of the cone snail’s venom is said to be sufficient to kill 20 men making it one of the most
venomous creatures on earth. Known as conotoxins the poison can be highly specific affecting only
certain types of nerves. Whilst this may be of medical interest, the stings generally cause intense,
localized pain with the life-threatening symptoms sometimes taking several days to present. On the
other hand, rapid paralysis of the respiratory system and death can occur shortly after the sting. In fact,
one species of cone snail is known locally as the “cigarette snail” on account of there being just enough
time to smoke one before you die!

World’s 10 Biggest Animals of all Time

Welcome back to another video about animals! We just can’t get enough of them and there are always new things to learn about the animal kingdom. Whether big or small, scary or cute, passive or aggressive, animals can be studied in many different ways, so I hope you’re ready to learn more about them.

In today’s video I’ll be introducing you to the World’s “10 Biggest Animals of All Time” Maybe you’ve already watched the video about the 10 biggest animals in the world, and if you haven’t - you should check it out! But today’s video will focus on the ten biggest animals of all time, which means, we will include animals that are already extinct - at least that’s what we believe! Stay with me all the way to number one and find out if the biggest animal of all time is one that still exists today or perhaps a new one.

    Let’s begin.

    Paraceratherium

I think some of you were surprised when the elephant wasn’t included in the world’s biggest animals! Well, today I’m giving you something bigger than the elephant. And it’s not the mamut. I’m talking about the paraceratherium, which holds the title of being the largest land mammal that has ever lived. They were about 7 meters tall, which makes them taller than modern day giraffes, and they weighed between thirty-three and forty-four thousand pounds. This makes them almost three times heavier than the heaviest elephants we have today. Just like elephants, they were not an immediate threat to other animals or humans because they were herbivores. But with a size that big, I’m sure they were intimidating and kept predators at a distance. It seems like they went extinct when the landscapes in Central Asia started to transform, making it hard for the paraceratherium to find the means to survive. I wonder what it would have been like to see one of these in the wild. I’m sure we would have been able to spot them from very far away.

    Whale Shark

And here is one that we previously saw on the biggest animals in the world: The Whale Shark.
So let me refresh (or introduce you to) some facts about this impressive animal. First of all, the whale shark is the largest fish in the world! That’s right, although its name implies otherwise, this animal is not a whale, but it’s a fish. The name is a reference to its massive size and if you haven’t seen one yet, you’d probably think it’s a whale. They can reach a size of 14 meters long and can weigh up to 41,000 pounds. They are known for having long lives, some of them make it to 150 years!

With their enormous size, they could easily reign in the underwater world - especially when they move across the major oceans. However, they’re filter feeders, which means that they mainly eat plankton and small fish that get caught in their big mouths. They are quite friendly and sometimes they can be spotted swimming with humans!

    Leedsichthys

While the whale shark is the largest fish in today’s world, it is not the largest fish in history! There’s a fish that was larger and that’s the leedsichthys, but it’s actually not far from the size of whale sharks. Earlier estimates stated that a leedsichthys could be about 27 meters long. However, later studies have shown that they might have been only 16 meters long, which is still a bit bigger than the whale sharks, but not for that much. Also, they were heavier, weighing about 43,000 pounds. And just like the whale shark, the leedsichthys was also a filter feeder, eating plankton, shrimp, jellyfish and any small creature that got stuck in its mouth. I wish we had the leedsichthys today, but at least we still have the whale shark, which is close enough!

    Number 15 Brazilian Wandering Spider

The Brazilian wandering spider gets its name from its place of origin and their love for traveling. They are similar to North American Wolf Spiders but are bigger and have more toxic venom. These spiders contain the most neurological venom among all spider species and this has earned it the top place as the most dangerous spider in the world. A Brazilian wandering spider is a small group of spiders that can be found in tropical and subtropical regions. They are mainly found in foliage on the ground but their preferred spot is on banana leaves, earning them the title of banana spiders. A Brazilian wandering spider has a distinct longitudinal groove on their oval carapace and banding on their upper legs. Their two front legs are filled with strong bristles on the lower side which they use for defense. Brazilian spiders are nocturnal and highly venomous. The Brazilian wandering spider spends their daytime resting inside cozy places including fruits and flowers and only comes out at night to hunt for food aggressively. When they feel threatened, they will raise their two front legs straight up into the air, giving them a threatening look. The venom of the Brazilian wandering spider can cause excessive salivation, muscle shock, and irregular heartbeats, but this only happens when the spider is agitated or hurt and wants to protect itself. In other cases, the spider can bite without releasing any venom. Children are known to be more sensitive to the bites of a Brazilian wandering spider because they have a weaker immune system. Unfortunately, death can occur in minutes even if antivenom is given immediately after a bite.

    Number 14 Black Widow Spider

The name of this spider can be used for a horror movie as it is enough to cause a shiver in your spine. The black widow spider can be found in temperate regions around the world and their reputation precedes them. Black widow spiders are not aggressive but quite notorious, known for the hourglass, colored mark on their abdomen. They are small, growing to about 1.5 inches long but their venom packs a punch. Black widows spin large webs where females suspend a cocoon containing hundreds of eggs. Young spiderlings will leave the web as soon as they come out of their eggs. However, the web remains intact. The web of the black widow Spider is used to capture prey such as mosquitoes, grasshoppers, flies, and caterpillars. They have bristles on their hind legs with silk that they use to cover their prey cutting off all hope of an escape. Spiders can't eat solids, so they need to liquefy their prey before sucking up the fluid. The black widow would puncture the insect using their fangs and inject some digestive enzymes into it. By gnashing their fangs and the power of the enzymes, the insect is liquefied and then they can easily suck up the fluid. The black widow gets her name from their intense and deadly mating ritual. After mating, the black widow kills and eats her mate. Black widows are solitary creatures except during the mating season. The bite of the black widow is greatly feared due to the power of its venom. It is said to be 15 times more potent than that of a rattlesnake. When bitten, a human will experience paralysis, nausea, and aches. The paralysis will result in difficulty in breathing. Bites can be fatal to small children and the elderly, however, deaths are generally rare. Black widows bite in self-defense and would rarely attack first.
