    14. Serval
Let's start off with easily one of the most exotic cats out there, the Serval. You'd be forgiven for not knowing about this special cat, as it's from Africa. But what I told you that the Serval is actually pretty popular in the US as a pet? It's true.

    13. Peterbald
Here's a unique cat that will make you do a double take. the Peterbald are a species of cat that are found mostly in Russia, and have a trait of not having hair. So they're quite literally bald cats. Though, to be fair, not all of them are bald, some do get hair, but they do often lose it.

    12. Korat
Though cats are accepted in most cultures in the world, that doesn't mean they don't get their fair share of superstitions attached to them. A black cat for example can be viewed as bad luck, but also, there are good luck cats. One of which is the Korat.

    11. Caracals
Heading back to the exotic kinds of cats, the Caracals is one that is both stunning to look at, and is very interesting in terms of how it acts. You see, Caracals are a type of Lynx, another exotic cat that has been known to have some aggressive tendencies at times. Because of this, you might think that the Caracals are the same , but you would be wrong.

    10. The Norwegian Forest Cat
Here's a cat story you might like. The Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed of cat that is very popular in Europe. However, during World War II, this particular cat was almost made extinct. It survived however due to the efforts of the Norwegian Forest Cat Club.

    9. Serengeti
Sometimes, you're not born into the world an original, you're created, and cats have been breed that way for a long time believe it or not. A great example of this is the Serengeti. This species is a recent addition to the cat world, as they were developed in the 1990's by crossing the Bengal and Oriental Shorthair species.

    8. Ocelot
Ocelot's are one of the more known exotic species of cats in the world. Mainly because they're gorgeous, and people have tried to make them pets for quite some time...with mixed results. Have you ever seen Archer? Yeah, that's a good example of how not to raise an Ocelot.

    7. Ragamuffin
While this may have an odd name, the Ragamuffin is surprising unique in terms of other cats. This particular breed was only recognized in 2003, but has taken the cat world by storm since then. It's a mix of specials including the Ragdoll and certain breeds of street cat, but when you look and touch its fur and see its eyes, it's clear how special it is.

    6. Geoffroy's Cat
From a rather big domestic cat to a very small exotic one, let's talk about Geoffroy's Cat. No, this isn't a cat owned by a specific person, but a whole species, and one that measure in as one of the smallest cats on Earth, to the extent that when they're fully grown they only weight at max eight pounds.

    5. California Spangled
Developed in the US at the urging of anthropologist Louis Leaky, the California Spangled is now one of the rarest cats in the world today. Proving that even cat breeds can go out of style.
As you can see, the California Spangled was made to resemble the cats of Africa.

    4. British Shorthair
It's well known that cats live long lives, and have been around for a VERY long time. But this species is one of the oldest known cat breeds ever, the British Shorthair. This cat is so revered in the UK that it's inspired many things, not the least of which was the look of the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. Plus, it's the most pedigreed breed in the country.

    3. Turkish Van
This one deserves a special spot on my list because of its unique fur and personality. Anyone who's raised a cat knows that though they drink water, they don't bathe in it, right? And only jungle cats will swim in water, right? Wrong! Meet, the Turkish.

    2. Egyptian Mau
Another cat that looks like a jungle cat, the Egyptian Mau is unique because its spots are actually natural to it. No breeding or development required. But that's only the start of what makes this cat so special.

    1. Bombay
If you have been paying attention, you'll have noticed that people really want miniaturized versions of wild big cats like Lynxs, bobcats, jaguars, lions, etc. Another cat that people have apparently wanted to miniaturize is the panther. And because of that, the Bombay was breed.

    20:34

Animal cross breeding is something humans have been trying out for a long time. And there are some species who can be bred together naturally to create an entirely new animal. It’s a pretty fascinating subject and people have even speculated what might happen if you could cross humans with other species. Like wolves. Then you end up with Wolverine and that’s pretty cool. Or Spiderman with spiders. In fact practically all superheroes are some kind of animal cross breed so we’re taking a look at some super animals that have come from cross breeding. From the striped big cat that also has a mane, to the huge predator that loves to climb, here’s the 15 Rarest Cross-Breed Animals In The World!

10 RAREST Cat Breeds In The World!
Cat people, we apologize. We’ve done a lot of videos about dogs, but we’ve realized we rarely talk about
your favorite furry companions. To rectify that, today we will talk about those lovable little furballs of
yours which, if it weren’t for them, YouTube as we know it wouldn’t even exist.
To make this video even more special, we’re not just going to talk about your common variety house
cats, we’re talking about the rarest of the rare. Like the one on number one for instance. Not only is it
extremely rare, it’s also one of the newest cat breeds to have been developed. Stay tuned to find out
more about that and other rare felines as we give you, in no particular order, the 10 rarest cat breeds in
    the world.

    Number 10. The Turkish Angora
Turkish Angora come from Ankara (formerly Angora), Turkey and are recognized by their characteristic
silky white coat. The earliest written records that mention the Turkish Angora come from 16th century
France. By the start of the cat fancy in Europe, around the late 1800s to early 1900s, the Turkish Angora
    was a well-established breed.
Some of the earliest breeding programs for the Turkish Angora started in Persia in the 1900s but
disappeared as a separate breed. However, in its native Turkey, the Turkish Angora was bred at the
Ankara Zoo to preserve the unique cats.
Owners of a Turkish Angora know just how much these cats love attention and it’s recommended that
these cats be left alone for no more than 4 to 8 hours a day. That being said, these cats act well around
people and their life expectancy is anywhere from around 15 to 18 years. These social and intelligent
creatures are also known for having heterochromia, a mutation that gives them two different eye colors.

    Number 9. The British Shorthair
Known as one of the most ancient breeds to exist, the British Shorthair remains as the most famous
pedigreed breed in all of Great Britain. This was the cat that inspired another famous cat in literature,
Alice in Wonderland’s very own Cheshire Cat and the “I Can Has Cheezburger?” meme.
The British Shorthair, while originally coming from the farms and streets of Britain, is also considered to
be the first cat of the cat fancy. The "father" of this breed is Harrison Wier, who is thought of as the first
professional cat breeder. He is known in cat fancy history as the "Father of the Cat Fancy." Not only was
he the first professional breeder, but he also determined the rules for the first cat show, which was held
    in Britain in 1871.
The British Shorthair is a very pleasant cat to have as a companion. She is easy going and placid. She is
also a fiercely loyal, loving cat and will attach herself to every one of her family members.
While the brees loves to play, she doesn't need hourly attention. If she is in the mood to play, she will
find someone and bring a toy to that person. The British also plays well by herself, and thus is a good
    companion for single people.

    Number 8. The Havana Brown
Havana Browns were purposely developed in the early 1950s in England by a group of British cat
fanciers. The group bred chocolate point and seal point Siamese cats with black domestic shorthairs to
produce the chocolate brown Havanas. Early on in the breeding program, Russian Blues were introduced
to the breeding stock. The Havana Brown was first recognized as an official breed by the Governing
Council of the Cat Fancy in 1958. Initially, the breed was called the Chestnut Foreign Shorthair and its
name was changed to Havana Brown in 1970.
In North America, the Havana Brown breed standard has stuck to the original Havanas that were
brought over in the 1950s. In 1998 and 1999, Havana Brown breeders in North America were permitted
to start breeding with unregistered black or blue domestic shorthairs, certain colors of Oriental
Shorthairs, or chocolate point or seal point Siamese to increase the limited Havana Brown gene pool.

    Number 7. The Egyptian Mau
This short-haired breed of cat is recognized by its famous spots. That doesn’t really sound like a big deal,
but in the fancy cat world, it actually is. Spots rarely occur in domesticated cats, the Egyptian Mau only
    being one of the few.
Maus like to sit up high and survey their surroundings. They are great jumpers and climbers, and should
have perches and cat trees to make their own. If these are not provided, the Mau will create her own
perch on the top of the refrigerator or on bookcases.

Who wouldn't love to come home to a furry feline friend? Such lovable and adorable
cute little cats. These connoisseurs of comfort have over 50 different breeds that exist in
the world. Some are very much the breeds of cats you own, others, well, are rare to
find. You might want to watch this video till the end to see the 15 rarest cat breeds in the
    world.
Number 15 – the Japanese Bobtail
The Japanese bobtail is a breed of cat with an unusual bobtail that can be compared to
the tail of a rabbit. Their origin is linked to Japan and Southeast Asia. Which is one of
the reasons for the name "Japanese Bobtail". As of 2013, it was recorded that a number
of this breed were found in North America, Europe and at least one in Japan. However,
they remain rare breeds. The Japanese bobtail cats are active, cute, smart, easy to
train, loving and human-oriented. They are attentive and have a soft, sweet voice. It is
quite melodious. This breed is considered a lucky breed so if you already own one, you
are one lucky happy fellow. They come in varying colours so which is your favourite?

Number 14 – the Scottish fold
Scottish folds are probably best known for their adorable eyes and cute floppy ears.
Their origin can be traced to Scotland. One interesting thing about this breed is that they
have dominant gene mutations that allow their ears to fold, bending forward towards the
front of its head. Due to this feature, the Scottish fold cats have an owl-like look. To add
some extra spice, there's a book which features the most famous Scottish fold and it is
titled "The Cat who went to Paris" by Peter Gethers. You should check it out. Scottish
fold cats are friendly, loving, affectionate and quiet. Sounds like a domestic cat to me.

Number 13 - the British shorthair
The British shorthair cats are easy going, adaptable, friendly and sweet. They are solid
and muscular cats that are slightly reserved. These cats are not very stranger friendly,
but once they are familiar and quite taken with someone, they are usually very
affectionate. One fun fact about this breed is that they are best known for their large
round heads, round eyes, round paws and very dense fur. Unlike other pet cats, the
British shorthair wouldn't sit on your lap instead, he would lie beside your sofa close to
you. They like to be around people but are also reserved. Males of this breed are
usually easy-going. Females on the other hand are more reserved and smaller. The
most popular of the British shorthair is the "British blue" but can come in other colours.
The British shorthair originates from the United Kingdom.

    Number 12 – the serval

Servals are cats of African origin. They inhabit wetlands and Saharan deserts. Standing
up to at least 25 inches, these cats have legs longer than their body size and large ears
perfectly designed to hear their prey from a distance. Serval cats are wild and would not
pass for a household pet though they may look pretty charming. In fact, they may not
survive in confinement. They are quite rough as they leap up to hunt their prey. The
name "Serval" translated in Portuguese means "wolf deer". This cat breed moves in
isolation, are very territorial and have wild instincts which helps them hunt. They are
quite strong, fast, cunning and incredible jumpers. The size of a serval is almost the size
of a medium-sized dog. So folks, Servals are not house pets, they are better off in the
    wild.

    Number 11 – Tonkinese
The Tonkinese is a crossbreed of both the Siamese and Burmese breeds from
Southeast Asia. The Tonk as is sometimes called is loving, friendly, intelligent and very
active. This is one cat that will crave your attention until he gets his way. Tonkinese cats
will get involved in all your daily activities and will love to meet the people you meet.
They can be stubborn at times but they have an endearing nature. This rare breed
would love your kids if you have any.

    Number 10 – Siberian
With origin in Russia, Siberian cat breeds are probably the most loving and most
affectionate of all cat breeds. They have round curious eyes, narrow ears, with thick and
long furs. Siberian cats pretty much have many names. You can call them the Siberian
forest cat or Moscow Longhairs. Cats of this breed are strong, adventurous, alert,
homely and easy-going. Perhaps one of the reasons why you would want one of these
furry felines as a member of your household.

  • 10 Dangerous Cat Breeds That Are Still Awww

    12:27

Cats are one of the most popular pets in the world. And they can be just as playful, cuddly, and friendly as their canine counterparts! Are you a cat person? Are you considering getting one? Well, you probably should leave the following 10 dangerous cat breeds off your list of potential candidates.

    TIMESTAMPS:
    Pallas’s cat 0:58
    The Savannah 2:14
    The Chausie 3:40
    The Jungle cat 443
    The Abyssinian 5:43
    The British Shorthair 6:52
    The Maine Coon 7:51
    The Mekong Bobtail 8:48
    The Siamese 9:43
    The Bobcat 10:55

    Music:

    SUMMARY:
    - The distinct trait of Pallas’s cat is its un-cat-like round eyes and pupils. The important question is: can you tame this kitty? The short answer is: no.
    - The Savannah is a crossbreed between the African Serval and your common domestic house cat. It has a long neck, body, and legs with dark-brown to black spots all over its coat.
    - Also known as the “Nile cat,” this breed is a cross between an Abyssinian domestic cat and a Jungle cat. Its wild ancestor, the Jungle cat, is the very one that the ancient Egyptians worshipped!
    - The Jungle cat's scientific name is Felis chaus, but it also goes by the “Swamp Lynx,” Swamp Cat,” or “Reed Cat.” While the name would have you think otherwise, this cat does not live in the jungle but rather in wetlands with dense vegetation.
    - The Aby is one of the oldest domesticated cat breeds. Believed to originate from Abyssinia, which is modern-day Ethiopia, most experts nowadays site Egypt as the breed’s place of origin.
    - If you’re familiar with the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland or Puss in Boots in Shrek, then you’ve definitely met some of the on-screen representations of the British Shorthair. This breed can weigh up to 20 pounds and lives up to about 20 years.
    - The Maine Coon is a large breed that can weigh up to 20 pounds or more. It also received celebrity status as “Mrs. Norris” in the Harry Potter movies.
    - The Mekong Bobtail can weigh up to 10 pounds and has a lifespan of up to 18 years. And, of course, we can’t forget to mention this breed’s most unique feature: its tiny little bobbed tail!
    - The Siamese is the most talkative and opinionated cat out there! It demands to be entertained and showered with attention 24/7. It can be pretty cautious around strangers and outright naughty when left alone at home!
    - Known as Lnyx rufus in the scientific community, the Bobcat is a nocturnal animal with a natural habitat in the wild. Yet some people are brave (or silly) enough to make them pets.

Cats are mysterious and independent, but they make excellent pets. They are comforting and they like to snuggle with their owners on the couch. Most cats look like cats, but there are some cats out there who deviate from the norm. They are quite different than most cats. For instance, there is Sue Roux the two-legged cat, and Hamilton, the hipster cat. If you feel like seeing cats as you have never seen them before.

    Venus The Two-Faced Cat

Venus is one of the most well-known felines on the planet. In addition to appearances on the Today Show and other television outlets, the three-year-old torty has her own Facebook page and has over a million views on YouTube. What is Venus's claim to fame? Her two-face markings are half black with yellow eyes and half orange with blue eyes.

When you look at Venus in this video, it does have a special look. All of the cells on one side of her adorable kitty face may have randomly activated black coloration, while cells coding for orange coloration activated on the other. As she grew in the womb, the two patches eventually met in the center. The real mystery, according is Venus' single blue eye. Cats with yellow or green eyes typically have Siamese ancestry and have mostly white coats. Her mystifying two-faced features, place her among the best and most viral cats on the internet. It's easy to see why she's popular, but she's more than just a pretty face. Her owner describes her as a sweetheart who doesn't scratch her furniture?

    Sue Roux-The Two-Legged Cat

Prepare to have your heart melt from the overabundance of fuzzy, cuteness. Meet Lil' Bunny Sue Roux, also known as Roux. She was born without front legs due to a congenital abnormality, most likely transverse terminal hemimelia, a rare disorder. Her front legs end at the humerus, the upper bone of the front leg, according to her X-rays. Since she walks differently than a cat, she may develop back issues as she gets older, but her X-rays currently appear to be in good shape. She does not seem to need prosthetics at this time because she is very involved and mobile without them. Her back legs are quite strong, and she can leap quite far! Roux has perfected her kangaroo-like walk by not only balancing on her back paws but also keeping the lower portion of her hind legs flat for added balance. When she runs, her nubs swing back and forth but never hit the ground. She hops like a rabbit with both back legs in unison when she wants to jump quickly or play. When she needs to, she can travel quickly! She has a few favorite toys that she selects from the toy box and flings around with her mouth because she cannot bat them.

It is amazing to watch her adapt, even though she seems to be perfectly normal to her! Roux's alarm-meow from the foot of the bed wakes her owner up every morning, and the only snooze button is breakfast! Then she spends the rest of the day napping and playing with her two older four-legged cat sisters, Kona and Graybee. The girls spread their toys all over the house during the day. Her meows signaling dinnertime are very noisy later, and she is a voracious eater. She normally has a long bath after dinner and a few bursts of playful energy before bedtime. As her day draws to a close, she leaps onto her owner’s bed to snuggle and curl up for the night. Roux hasn't changed in a long time! She remains shy and mostly just wants to know when she can eat next. Roux can be very stubborn, with an attitude of I can do it myself! at times, but she still appreciates a helping hand. She's a kitten with a playful spirit that comes in bursts. She is at her most cuddly at bedtime when she purrs loudly in exchange for chin scratches. Roux is a happy, sweet young lady!

  • THE 10 SMALLEST CAT BREEDS In The World

    9:37

Cats are all over the internet and if they are small, they are more curious. Meet in this video the 10 breeds of the smallest cats in the world.

    -HIMALAYAN CAT
Do you love the Persian cat? And what about the Siamese cat? Well, look no further: we have the ideal pussycat for you: The Himalayan cat, also known as the Himalayan or Colorpoint Persian.

    -BOMBAY CAT
This cat sure is a beast! Or at least it seems like it, with a look very similar to that of a panther, the Bombay cat is the magnificent result between the crossbreed of a Burmese and an American Shortair cats.

    -BALINESE CAT
The Balinese is a cat that has its origins in the United States, becoming the direct descendant of the Siamese and other cats with long hair like the dazzling Angora.

    -SPHYNX
This is a cat from another planet! Or at least that's what we think when we lose ourselves in their huge eyes that seem to hide the secrets of the universe, or when we appreciate their impressive almost hairless body that blows our imagination, assuming that it could be a cat that has evolved over time.

    -BURMESE
So much beauty! White in color and with blue eyes, the Burmese cat, also known as the Sacred Cat of Burma, is characterized by being physically an intermediate cat between the Persian and the Siamese.

    -DEVON REX CAT
Without a doubt this is the elf of cats. Just look at it! Those naughty pointed ears, those huge, bulging eyes, along with those high cheekbones. Doesn’t it look like a pixie? Simply irresistible!

    -SKOOKUM CAT
And one of the cats with more personality on this list is the intrepid Skookum, a cat breed originally from the United States.

    -SINGAPURA
Slender and small, Singapura cats are the best representation of all the delicacy and elegance that cats have.

    -SCOTTISH FOLD
This beautiful pussycat is recognized easily because of its chunky body that measures no more than 10 inches, its very round head, its tender folded ears and its short, but very sturdy legs.

    -MUNCHKIN
No! It is not floating! He's just walking peacefully, but because his paws are so short, you can hardly see them.

  • The RAREST Cat Breeds In The World ????

    11:05

Everyone loves cats, even those who say no. So looking for some cat breeds I show you some particularly not so common but adorable. Watch it now!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    LaPerm
Adorable, weird and elegant. Their outstanding feature is their curly hair of a variety of colors, with long loose or curls.

    Dwelf Cat
The Dwelf Cat is quite unusual as it isn’t an official breed yet. This is because it’s a breed created by Karen Nelson in 2007, a cat lover allergic to the hair of these loving felines.

    Maine Coon
They’re unique, symmetrical, and have a peculiar gaze. Native to the United States, the Maine Coon’s main characteristics are its long and pointy ears.

    Scottish Fold
As the name implies, this is a Scottish cat, and its most appealing feature are its small ears bending forward, something that made it well-known.

    Bengal Cat
The Bengal Cat is a big, sturdy feline with a chunky tail. This is an exceptional pet as it looks like a domesticated tiger!

    Cornish Rex
This kitty of English origin is muscular, thin, and long. What catches my attention about the Cornish Rex is its soft to the touch curly coat. Even their whiskers are curly!

    Khao Manee
The Khao Manee will leave you amazed by its different-colored eyes! This gorgeous Thailand feline is known as Diamond Eye, White Gem, or Royal Cat of Siam.

    Savannah Cat
It’s a very exceptional feline; the Savannah is a tall and thin animal with long legs. It comes from crossbreeding experiments between its direct ancestor, the Serval, and domestic cats, thus giving them such a particular and exotic appearance.

    Peterbald
This exceptional animal is originally from Russia, San Petersburg. Its creator was Olga Mironova, who mixed the Russian breed Doskoy with the Oriental Shorthair and Siamese.

    Ashera Cat
This is a one-of-a-kind feline! Expensive, sterile, and custom-made for the client. It isn’t a pure breed, nor does it have an ancestral pedigree, it was born in a lab.

  • This Is The Most Expensive Cat Breed In The World

    3:56

Wait, cats have breeds? Yes, it's true, there's more than just the breed domestic cat. While most of us ordinary humans obtain our cats from the local animal rescue or from a friend who adopted a pregnant stray, some people shell out money for fancy breeds of cat and some people shell out extra-large amounts of money for really, really fancy breeds of cat.

So it might cost you up to $3,000 for a flat-faced Persian or $3,500 for an elegant Maine coon, according to People, but if you want to spend the really big bucks, there are a couple hybrid breeds that will give you points for having an exotic cat as well as points for spending way more money on a cat than you really need to.

According to the Cat Fanciers' Association, the Bengal is a large domestic cat that has a rosette pattern on its coat circular markings resembling those of a leopard. So if you want a domesticated cat that looks like a wild one without the part where it kills you in your sleep and eats you you could look into purchasing a Bengal. This breed can trace its ancestry back to 1963, when a breeder weirdly decided to cross a domestic cat with the Asian Leopard Cat, a small type of wild cat that you definitely don't want to raise in your home.

All modern Bengals are descended from that original breeding program, although no cross-breeding with wild cats still occurs all Bengals are bred from other Bengals. One of these cats will cost between $1,500 and $5,000.

You're probably wondering can a domestic cat that's descended from a wild one really be considered completely domesticated? The Cat Fancier's Association says yes, although this breed does have a few quirks you won't find in most other domesticated cats. They'll happily learn tricks, for example, while most common house cats are clearly far above such things. Many of them actually enjoy getting wet, too, and you know how most common house cats feel about that. So Bengals are mostly like the cats we're used to sharing our homes with, with a few fun and unexpected differences.

Dropping $5,000 is nothing, though, compared to the most expensive cat breed in the world. According to the Savannah Cat Association, the Savannah is another hybrid between a domestic cat and a wild cat. Savannahs are the product of breeding domestic shorthair cats to the African serval, which is a long-legged, spotted species with large ears and a short tail.

There are a lot of genetic differences between domestic cats and servals, so early generations of Savannah produced fertile females and sterile males. In later generations, the males were fertile, too, so breeders could start breeding Savannahs to other Savannahs.

Today's Savannah is still sort of a work in progress unlike Bengal cat breeders, who no longer cross in Asian leopard cats, Savannah breeders are still producing cats that are 50% African serval. So if you want a cat that is literally half-wild, somewhere out there is a breeder who will happily take your money. Or you can get later generations of Savannahs that are the result of breeding Savannah to Savannah.

How much you spend on your Savannah cat depends a lot on which generation the animal is and how closely it resembles a serval. So you may only spend $1,500 on a pet-quality sixth or seventh generation Savannah, but if you want a first-generation breeding-quality female that looks pretty darn similar to a wild African cat, you could pay up to $18,000 or even $20,000 depending on where you go. That's around the price of a small car, so hopefully you'll enjoy your Savannah cat so much you won't ever want to leave the house.

Yeah, these cats are pretty amazing, but they're not wanting for homes. If you just want a cat to love, an animal shelter or rescue organization is still the best place to go.
