  • 15 Deadliest Birds On Earth

    20:27

Birds have the unique feature of being covered almost entirely by feathers. Members of the avian family all around the world display varying degrees of beauty and awesomeness. Some of them are very little while others are intimidatingly large. They display dazzling, bright plumages, have fascinating behaviors and mating systems, and generally do not connote danger, unlike land animals. Most birds look totally harmless and this may cause one to attempt to go near them for a closer view, to feed or pet them, however, birds can be frighteningly dangerous and sometimes an attack from a bird can lead to death.

    Number 15: African Ostrich

The African Ostrich is the biggest, fastest, and strongest of all birds in the world. It is the only remaining ostrich species in the world. Found in the savannahs of Africa, this flightless bird weighs more than 150kg, and adult males stand about 9 feet tall, with half of its height being in the neck! It can run long distances at a speed of 34mph and pick up speeds of up to 43mph if threatened. The ostrich has a distinctive appearance in its really small head, long neck, and legs; it also looks amusing and sometimes quizzical. The ostrich lays the largest eggs of any bird on earth. The ostrich has great commercial value and is farmed for its feathers which are used as dusters, its meat, and its skin which is used for leather products.

Common predators of the ostrich include lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, leopards, and humans. In the wild, ostriches avoid humans but when threatened, they become aggressive and will slash kick with their powerful feet. their long, extraordinarily powerful legs are their weapon. Their feet have only two toes with only one toe possessing a claw, the claw on the inner toe measures up to 4 inches in length. With their powerful legs, they can outrun their predators except for the cheetah and when cornered, their claws are capable of killing with a single slash. When threatened, ostriches have been known to kill lions with its dangerous kicks.

    Number 14: Emu

Next in size by height to the ostrich, is the Emu. Emus are the cultural icon of Australia and appear on the country’s coat of arms. They are also large, flightless birds that are native to Australia. The emu has a fairly long neck, long legs, and stand up to 6.2ft in height and on average weigh 31.5kg. but can weigh up to 60kg. They can gather speed up to 30mph when running, and when walking, their strides are about 3.3ft but can be as long as 9ft at full gallop. The emu has sharp claws on its toes which together with its claws measure 6inches. These claws are capable of tearing apart animals. Their legs are extremely strong and are capable of tearing metal fences. Emus can attack and inflict severe injury if they are threatened or if their young are in danger.

Emus are largely farmed for a number of uses including their meat, skin for leather, oil, and feathers. Emus are naturally curious and inquisitive and would not attack unless threatened. At least 100 emu attacks resulting in injuries were recorded in 2009 in Australia.

  • Most DANGEROUS Birds On Earth

    12:01

The scariest, most dangerous birds in the world! From the brutal spurs of graceful waterfowl to the bone-dropping tactics of vultures

    #10 Giant Petrel
Often referred to as Stinkers or Gluttons, the scavenging bird species near Antarctica have a nasty track record. Opportunistic to a fault, the Giant Petrel is known for not only feeding on the carcasses of deceased penguins and seals, but also laying an aggressive, boisterous claim to their food. Assuming a hostile stance with wings outstretched and eyes focused on any competitors, the Petrel scares away any that approach. Feeding on both land and sea, this carrion hunter also consumes fish, krill, and squid. This has caused them to become a pest among fishing vessels as the Petrel will follow these boats and pick at any meat remnants they can find. But just because they don’t often feed on live prey doesn’t mean they can’t threaten them. The giant Petrel has been seen assaulting emperor penguins, small seals, and even albatross, either blatantly attacking them or drowning them.
    #9 Mute Swan
Renowned for its majestic beauty throughout its native region of Eurasia, the Mute Swan isn’t just another elegant waterfowl. Not one for small talk, this bird is often identified by its unique beak pattern and strange techniques of communication. Adults will use a mix of grunts, whistles and snorts to communicate with their young or threatening predators. As a swimming bird, they can typically swim away from any danger, but when push comes to shove, the mute swan shoves hard. Equipped with a large snapping bill and bony spurs hidden in their wings, they thrash their foes with brutal intensity. This is only compounded by their inherent territorial nature. One incident in 2012 demonstrated just how brutal they can be when a kayaker came under attack at a Chicago condominium’s pond. He was actually looking after the local mute swan population when a bothered swan knocked him out of his boat and proceeded to flail against him until he drowned.

  • 10 Most Dangerous Birds In The World

    11:46

Alfred Hitchcock got the entire world thinking about how dangerous birds can be back in the 1960s, but birds have always been a danger to humans, even before the release of The Birds. These 10 most dangerous birds in the world are some of the most vicious on earth and it’s a good call to avoid all of them, just in case.

    Red-Tailed Hawk

The red tailed hawk is a fearsome winged predator and crossing one of these birds when they’re angry isn’t advised. Found in North America, this hawk is one of three species that are commonly referred to as chickenhawks. They have short, darkly coloured bills that are standard for most birds of prey. These beaks can easily tear and rip flesh when the bird is both on the offensive and defensive, making them quite capable weapons. The most dangerous feature of the red tailed hawk is their claws. Their largest claw can grow to a length of around 1.17 inches. That might not sound like much, but these talons are razor sharp and can slice clean through flesh and muscle without much resistance. Hawks patrol their area by flying anywhere between 10 and 50 metres off the ground, swooping down on their prey once it’s been identified. There are actually around 14 subspecies of red tailed hawk and each of these are just as dangerous as the others. The red tailed hawk can reach weights of 1.5 to 3.5 pounds, measuring 18 to 26 inches in length with a wingspan of 3 to 5 feet. If you happen to enter their territory, these hawks won’t think twice about attacking you and ripping you apart with their deadly talons.

    Snowy Owl

This large species of owl might look tame and quiet, but when they get excited they can turn into ferocious opponents. They’re native to North America and are usually located way up north in the Arctic tundra. They do venture further south at times, but do so only in relatively small numbers. While they snowy owl is mostly white, they also have grey patches of feathers. These owls don’t have many natural predators where they live, which is a good thing for them. Their only predators are basically foxes, jaegers, and wolves. Attacking a snowy owl isn’t an easy feat, however, and even those dedicated predators will have a hard time defending themselves if an owl decides to have a go at them. The only real damage that a snowy owl can do comes from its talons, but they’re able to do a stupid amount of damage to a person who gets in their way. These birds are used to defending their nests against other animals and are adept at dive bombing any unwanted trespassers in their territory. Most of these attacks are used to drive attackers away from their nests, but if they get grumpy they’ve been known to chase people for long distances. Being ripped apart by a snowy owl would leave you bruised, battered, and torn, but, luckily, they aren’t usually able to actually kill a person. Still, they like to go for the face more often than not and having your eyes gouged out by an owl would be a rough way to end a day.

    Lammergeier

One of the longest-living vultures in the entire world, lammergeiers are also some of the most ancient vultures still roaming the earth these days. Some people also call them bearded vultures based on their somewhat bearded look. They can grow up to be quite large when fully grown, with an adult lammergeier having a wingspan of 2.3 to 2.8 metres. They can also weigh up to 7 kilos, which is quite impressive to say the least. These birds are found all over southern Europe, Africa, and Asia. Their wingspan allows them to stay aloft for long periods of time without having to rest. Scavengers by nature, these vultures usually only focus on eating carrion and can ingest bones, swallowing them whole without issue. Getting into larger bones to eat the marrow contained within involves dropping the bones from a height to smash them open. They also use this technique to dispatch prey. To begin with, these vultures can be dangerous simply because they might accidentally drop their lunch on you. That being said, they can also easily take on a human if they decide to do so and even a fully grown person would have a hard time fending off an attack from such a large bird. Their talons can rip through skin and we bet you’d be pretty beaten up if a vulture decided that it was going to attack you.

The Top 10 Deadliest Birds in the World

    Number 10: Martial Eagle

With a wingspan of almost 3 meters, the martial eagle is Africa’s largest eagle. It is an aggressive predator and can kill adult baboons, sheep, and has even attacked farmers that attempt to keep them away from their sheep.

    Number 9: Swan

The #9 spot might comes as a surprise but it is true, the swan is one of the deadliest birds in the world. Swans are beautiful, majestic creatures, however, they are also born to be extremely aggressive. In 2012, a man in Illinois was killed when a swan pushed him out of his canoe and pecked him, keeping him underwater, until he drowned.

    Number 8: Harpy Eagle

The harpy eagle can break a man’s arm with its 6 inch long talons. It is strong and also very agile. It has a shorter wingspan that allows it to maneuver and chase its prey thru dense woodlands.

    Number 7: African Crowned Eagle

The weapons of choice for the African crowned eagle are its massive talons. The bird is so strong that it crushes the skulls of monkeys and other primates with its talons. It has also been known to attack and kill children.

    Number 6: Red-Tailed Hawk

The 5 ft wingspan and extra long talons place the red-tailed hawk in the #6 position. They are territorial and very aggressive. Any sense of perceived danger and they will unleash an unrelenting attack.

    Number 5: Australian Magpie

The Australian magpie is a very aggressive and territorial bird, especially during its 6-9 week nesting season. If their territory is encroached upon they will immediately swoop down and attack. Eye injuries, severe head lacerations, and fatalities have resulted from these terrifying incidences.

    Number 4: Pitohui

Brightly colored and native to New Guinea, the pitohui have flesh and feathers coated in a neurotoxin. The amount of neurotoxin in one pitohui bird would be enough to kill 1,000 mice.

    Number 3: Little Shrikethrush

Flying into the #3 position is the little shrikethrush. A small bird with a very dangerous secret. It harbors a toxin in its flesh and feathers. One of the most potent toxins in nature, the same poison found on the deadly golden poison arrow frogs.

    Number 2: Ostrich

The ostrich is the largest and heaviest living bird on the planet. An adult can weigh over 300 lbs and grow up to 10 ft tall. They are extremely powerful birds and can kill a human with a single kick or head butt. Ostriches can run over 40 mph and become very aggressive if they perceive a threat in nearby.

    Number 1:

The World’s Deadliest Bird is the cassowary. Native to Australia and New Guinea, this bird can grow to almost 7 ft tall and weighs 100-130 lbs. It has razor sharp claws and can run up to 30 mph. Cassowary attacks have occurred when humans have intruded into the cassowary’s territory. The cassowary can disembowel and kill with one single swipe of its razor sharp claws.

For decades, dinosaurs were thought to be gigantic, slow-moving, cold-blooded reptiles. The movie Jurassic Park however popularized the idea of dinosaurs as quick, smart and birdlike. It has since been discovered that modern birds did in fact descend from two-legged dinosaurs known as theropods––a group that included feathered velociraptors and tyrannosaurs. Pretty much all modern-day birds can be traced back to prehistoric creatures, but some more than others retain features and traits of the roaring dinosaurs they once evolved from. If you’re ready to see which birds we’re talking about, then prepare yourself, as we count down 9 Birds That Secretly Look Like The Dinosaurs They Are. Make sure you stick around for number 1 to discover which terrifying dinosaur your backyard chicken is related to.

  • Alpine Rivers: The Cradle of Life | Free Documentary Nature

    29:55

What would happen to the mountains without water? They would turn into deserts, devoid of life and vegetation. But there are very few mountains without water on our planet. They take care of this themselves, creating their life’s element and taking water directly from the sky by entrapping the clouds around them.

This water then collects on the flanks of the mountains, where it turns from rivulets into rivers, that flow out into the oceans. Mountains and water are symbiotic, a cycle that keeps life on earth going. Mountain streams slowly move along meadows before, only moments later, turning into the spray of waterfalls or small mystic lakes. What kind of life can be found in and around this mysterious cosmos?

We will investigate the world of the rare Danube salmon and be there to see the Danube bleak spawn. We will follow giant wels catfish into their hideouts, see great crested grebes on their underwater hunting. We go diving under the ice of frozen mountain streams and lakes, discovering life where none was thought possible.

  • The most beautiful autumn and winter traditions from around the world

    50:04

In accordance with the seasons and with deep respect of nature, people all over the world celebrate their long-standing traditions.
Near the outermost border of Europe, in Bashkiria, generations of bee keepers have collected honey from rare wild bees, the Burzyan bees. In Japan the last of the Usho catch fish with living fishing rods: trained cormorants. Traditionally, they provided the Emperor's family with fresh fish.
In Poland carp are fished from the ponds to provide everybody with carp for Christmas dinner - this is an old Polish tradition.
In Frisia winter is driven out by fires at what is known as Biikebrennen, and in Hungary the Busho - frightening characters wearing wooden masks - do a similar job.
This documentary is a journey, meeting people who are passionate at keeping old traditions alive.

  • This Is The Worlds Deadliest Spider

    4:36

Most spider bites won't kill you. Only an itsy-bitsy portion of the world's more than 43,000 known spider species pose a danger to humans, and fewer than 30 species have ever killed a human. Which bites have the best chance of making you bite the dust? What is the deadliest spider in the world?

Britannica lists nine of the most lethal arachnids on the planet. Among them are the usual suspects, including the brown recluse and the black widow. But identifying the reigning king of spider bites is a bit tricky, because there are actually two spiders who can lay claim to the throne. Number 8 on Britannica's list is the Brazilian wandering spider, considered to be the deadliest of all the world's spiders. However, number one on that same list is the Sydney funnel-web spider, which Australian Geographic describes as the undisputed title holder in the deadly arachnid rankings.

So what makes these two particular spiders so dangerous? Rather than having the arachnids perform a bite-off to see how many lives they can end within a specific time limit, it seems more sensible to discuss both the Brazilian wanderer and the Sydney funnel-web in more abstract terms. Live Science writes that Brazil is home to eight separate species of Brazilian wandering spider. Their venom contains a mix of different toxins that can cause burning pain, vertigo, blurred vision, an elevated or decreased heart rate, spikes or drops in blood pressure, and hypothermia. You definitely don't want one of these crawling on you.

Luckily for humans, Brazilian wanderers rarely go in for the kill. A 2008 study determined that only 2.3 percent of bites from Brazilian wanderers needed to be treated with antivenom because the spiders inject venom sparingly. They aren't being merciful, though. Arachnologist Jo-Anne Nina Sewlal explained:

It is unlikely that the spider would inject all of its venom into you, as this venom is not only needed as a means of defense but to immobilize prey.

Because it takes time and energy to replenish venom, if the spider used its whole load on you, it would be vulnerable to would-be predators and unable to hunt the prey it wants. So unless you come across an especially hungry Brazilian wanderer, it probably won't bother to envenom you very much. Not because the spider is nice, but because you're just not worth it. Maybe the burning pain people feel when a Brazilian wanderer bites them is just the sting of rejection.

So how does that compare with the Sydney funnel-web spider? The deadliest of Australia's 35 species of funnel-web, the Sydney variety delivers a nasty neurotoxin which paralyses invertebrates but causes human neurons to fire continually. A bite might cause your heart to race and your blood pressure to rise and could kill you within 15 minutes.

In case that's not enough to send you into an arachnophobic frenzy, a funnel-web's fangs can puncture everything from toenails to mouse skulls, and these spiders are inclined to hide in your shoes or house when seeking shelter. Strangely enough, While the venom wreaks havoc on primates by virtue of an evolutionary accident, dogs, cats, and birds all have built up an immunity.

A total of 13 people have died at the fangs of the Sydney funnel-web. That body count might be even higher had experts not developed an antivenom in 1981. Unfortunately, keeping the supply stocked is a tall order. It takes roughly 70 milkings to acquire enough venom droplets to produce antivenom. Further complicating matters, a female's life span may stretch 20 years while males kick the bucket after about four years and aren't usually bred until they're two years old.

According to Ranger Mick from the Australian Reptile Park, there's at least one trick you can use to keep these spiders at bay. If Sydney funnel-webs think there's no place like your home, you should invest in chickens, which are apparently happy to eat up all the funnel-web spiders they can get.

And if you don't live in a place where you can keep chickens, well...there's always fire.

  • 11 Most DANGEROUS Birds In The World!

    11:11

From drowning their victims to attacking humans, and more! Join me as I show you 11 of the most dangerous birds in the world!

    Subscribe For New Videos!

    11. Southern Giant Petrel
On the surface, the Southern Giant Petrel may not seem like that dangerous of a bird. Especially since it lives in the Southern Oceans, including around Antarctica and thus isn't around humans that much. But while this bird isn't dangerous to humans, it's most definitely dangerous to other birds around it.

    10. Ostrich
It may come as a surprise to some that the biggest bird on Earth today is one that cannot fly. But do not sell the Ostrich short...so to speak. You would live to regret it.
These birds are indeed quite tall, with the males of the species being able to reach over 9 feet in height in certain cases. The females are still rather tall themselves, able to get over 6 feet 7 inches.

    9. Emu
The Emu is very tall, the second tallest bird in the world in regards to height. They can get just over 6 feet, which is the size of a tall human. But their main asset is their ability to run fast across the lands of Australia that they call home. They can reach up to 50 kilometers Per Hour when they need to.

    8. Lammergeier
The Lammergeier is also known as the Bearded Vulture, and it's a bird that you definitely need to be on the lookout for. Their size can be very impressive, including having a wingspan of about 10 feet! Now, like many vultures, they are scavengers, and prefer to pick the bones of kills that have already been made.

    7. Great Horned Owl
Easily one of the most recognizable owls in the world today, the Great Horned Owl is one that has adapted to live all over America and beyond, and is known to be quite fierce in how it handles its business. In context, owls as a whole are known to attack humans when the circumstances are there.

    6. Red-Tailed Hawk
The Red-Tailed Hawk is honestly an interesting bird to discuss because many people have a very good relationship with this species. Mainly because it's used very commonly in Falconry:
Red-tailed hawks are usually used to hunt small game such as rabbits and squirrels, as well as larger quarries such as Hares.

    5. Common Loon
The Common Loon isn't your typical kind of bird. It's a bird that prefers to use diving techniques while already on the water to catch prey. Thus its classification as a Diver Bird.
The common loon uses its powerful hind legs to propel its body underwater at high speed to catch its prey, which it then swallows head-first. If the fish attempts to evade the common loon, the bird chases it down with excellent underwater maneuverability due to its tremendously strong legs.

    4. Mute Swan
Some of you might be confused by this entry. Because when you think of a swan, you likely think of the majestic bird that has been used as a symbol of love and other things over the years. Which is fair and true in many respects. But when it comes to the Mute Swan, they act like many birds do when they're nesting.

    3. Australian Magpie
It is said that the Australian Magpie is the second most dangerous bird in Australia. Mainly because like many birds they have a very aggressive tendency to attack ANYONE who comes into their various home turfs when they're nesting.

    2. Peregrine Falcon
There are many fast animals in the world, including many like cheetahs that can keep up with cars, but in terms of super speed', there is only one true contender, the Peregrine Falcon. This is a bird that has been clocked at a blistering 242 miles per hour. Four times the average speed limit on a highway.

    1. Cassowary
Cassowaries are one of many 'land birds' that live in the world today. However, what they have over their fellow land birds is an aggressiveness and their ability to do serious damage to those who mess with them. What's more, they have a very documented history with humans in terms of attacking them. However, not in the way you'd expect.

    10 Most Dangerous Birds

Birds are some of the most diverse, fascinating, and inspiring animals. They can be
fragile, subtle, and pretty, like canaries, hummingbirds, and blue-jays, and some of
them are so docile that they can be pets.
On the other hand, birds have acquired more significance as a source of inspiration
than as companions. Our human nature has been moved by the most aggressive,
lethal, and brilliant flying predators, that have become strong living symbols of
power, freedom, and intelligence. The most notorious birds are at the core of the
identity and symbols of some of the most powerful cultures of all times, such as the
Incas, the Romans, the Aztecs, and the Mayas. In modern times, birds are present in
some of the richer and influential countries' coats of arms, like those of France,
Germany, and the United States of America, among many others.
It seems that human nature, since remote and ancient times, has been inspired by
their ability to fly, their fierceness and their willingness to protect their own, even at
    the direst circumstances.
Today, we are going to meet true flying giants that resemble mythical monsters,
noble of heart but feared by all other creatures around them. We will admire
elegant and deadly raptors that reign over their territories with an iron claw. Finally,
we will take more seriously some of the largest and seemingly weak birds, that
don't fly but can run faster than any human being and can fight with their beaks
and their claws so fiercely and skillfully, that are a serious contender for any other
    creature on earth.
Before we dare to get closer to these beautiful beasts, remember to click the
subscribe button and hit the bell icon, so you don't need to fly around to know
when we are making a new upload.
If you like the video, hit the like button, before we take flying speed!
    Number 10. Lammergeier
At the tenth spot, we have a powerful and giant bombardier. The lammergeier is a
big eagle-like vulture that emits the aura of a mythical beast.
This bird often reaches more than 1 meter in length and has a breath-taking
wingspread of almost 10 feet. Although it is nearly impossible that a lammergeier
attacks a human, they can be really dangerous for us. They usually feed on the

remains of lambs and other medium-sized mammals, which is the origin of their
particular name: Lamb Vulture in German.
These giant vultures die for bone marrow, which is their favorite dish and they use
a very practical method to obtain it. After other predators eat and tear their prey,
lammergeiers grab the bones from the remains, fly them and drop them from
around 262 feet height onto flat rocks – it is like throwing something from the 40th
    floor of a building. Boom!
People around lammergeiers should be careful and look up, now and then!
    Number 9. Ostrich
Running at lighting fast speed through the African savannah, sharing its territory
with some of the most impressive animals of the animal kingdom, like the lion and
the elephant, we get to the ninth spot, the ostrich.
The ostrich is the largest non-flying bird on earth. An adult exemplar can weigh 330
pounds and stand 6 feet in height. This impressive bird can achieve a top speed of
43 miles per hour, which makes it the fastest bird on earth.
Some people underestimate the ostrich because they believe that this bird will hide
its head into a hole if they get scared. Yet, these large birds are more than well-
equipped to give a good fight, and they will if they feel that their little ones or their
    territory are being threatened.
Sure, we can admit it looks a bit funny with its long neck and tiny wings, but its
powerful legs have the strength to knock-out a human with a single strike, in less
than a second, breaking bones and causing internal damage in extreme cases.
    Number 8. Red-tailed Hawk
In the third spot, we have a bird with a perfect balance between power, speed, and
intelligence. The red-tailed hawk is a superb hunter with the ability to track its prey
with a natural, built-in GPS that, combined with its sight and speed of movement,
allows it to attack prey speedily and swiftly.
An astute and opportunist, the red-tailed hawk is a well-achieved carnivore and
almost any small creature can be part of its diet.
To add at its complete hunting arsenal, the impressive claws and talons of the red-
tailed hawk provide it with the tools to smash and crush lethally its prey.

This bird shares his habitat with humans in the suburbs and is great to control
pests like rats and mice. However, they are very territorial and protective of their
own. Don't let your little pets fooling around, because they might never come
    back…

Top 9 Best Deadliest Birds In The World/دنیا میں مہلک ترین پرندے

today we're bringing you the nine deadliest birds on the planet if you're wondering about the most dangerous birds in the world you'll want to stick around for number one because this bird is actually poisonous most birds bring peace and joy to our planet while some can cause us a fair bit of annoyance but the birds on today's list cause nothing but trouble to their fellow animal friends and us humans sometimes even resulting in death so strap yourselves in and let's take a look at these dangerous birds

    no 09
    cassowary

this prehistoric looking bird may look awesome but you want to think twice before getting too close to a cassowary with a weight of up to 175 pounds and a height of five feet the australian cassowary is the second largest bird in the world like ostriches a kick of their powerful legs is their go-to method of attack however unlike their less colorful counterparts these guys sport a 4-inch dagger-like claw they use to strike their victims while jumping at them although they tend to stick to themselves the cassowary can be fiercely territorial and turn aggressive when disturbed one of the most famous attacks occurred in 1926 when a teenage boy who was hunting these birds was killed after a cassowary toppled over him and slashed his jugular while he was on the ground recently a 75 year old exotic animal collector called marvin hayos was also killed by a cassowary that he kept on his property and while these are the only two recorded human fatalities from cassowaries they're sure enough to make us rethink provoking one of these majestic birds if you think a large cassowary sounds scary wait until you see the pretty little bird at number one because it's actually poisonous

    NO 08
    australian magpie

after the cassowary the australian magpie is probably the second most dangerous bird in the land down under during their nesting period australian magpies are known to become highly aggressive and while their behavior is well meant you do not want to come near one of these while they're protecting their nest because their habitats often include residential areas there have been countless recorded incidents of the bird purposely attacking humans the issue is so common that some australian municipalities recommend pedestrians wear wide brimmed hats or carry umbrellas during magpie breeding season should they need to defend themselves from an attack even though the magpie doesn't have the predatory talons to inflict serious injury an unexpected attack on a cyclist or pedestrian can easily result in a traffic accident

    NO 07
    southern giant petrel

when you're thinking of apex predators the last thing that comes to mind is a seabird right well think again the southern giant petrel is an extremely large seabird and an aggressive airborne predator that feeds both on dead flesh and live prey these guys sport a wingspan of up to six feet and are able to reach speeds of up to 45 miles per hour which they use to mercilessly dive down on their prey the giant petrel has no natural predators and will cold-bloodedly hunt other seabirds such as penguin babies and even injured adult penguins larger petrols have even been spotted drowning albatrosses and other larger birds by holding them underwater and feeding on them later seabirds yeah right these guys are almost as fast and as dangerous as an eagle

    NO 06
    bearded vulture

the bearded vulture also known as the llama gear is one of the oldest and largest vultures in the world these massive birds have a wingspan of up to nine feet wide and can even weigh as much as 15 pounds these big eagle-like vultures dine mainly on decaying dead animals with 90 of their
