    50:01

In a land of dangers, plant-eating animals are always at risk, and never more so than at the time of their birth; out on the open they are vulnerable and there are few places to hide. But luckily some are born to run…
Out on the African plains life can get off to a shaky start. Millions of baby wildebeests, zebras and antelopes are born at the same time. All of them must struggle to their feet in minutes. They must master their legs and be ready to run with the herd. If they don't they will be picked off by predators like lions, cheetahs, or crocodiles.
Whatever their role in life, little ones will face one challenge after another, whether it's trying to keep up with the herd during migration, getting stuck in the mud during a drought, being separated from its mother, panicking in bad weather, or even coming face to face with a predator.
The point will come in every young animal's life when the skills it learned will be put to good use. One of the most powerful wake-up calls to the harsh reality of nature comes to a young wildebeest during its migration. A dramatic river crossing, where there are more than just fast currents and steep banks to deal with - a river teaming with crocodiles. One by one his herd mates are picked off by the great reptiles, but when his time comes he proves he was born to run!

  • Animals Like Us : Animal Emotions - Wildlife Documentary

    49:31

The study of animal behavior leaves little room for emotional-related explanations. Feelings in animals tend to be presented as functional explanations of behavior in a given situation. The notion of emotion has been completely overlooked, especially in the sixties, at the peak of animal experimentation, since it was easier to deny animal feelings like sadness or suffering, to guiltlessly carry out all sorts of tests. Recognizing the existence of animal feelings implies moral obligations. Things however are changing... and many scientists who study animal behavior are paying more and more attention to emotions. But how could it be otherwise? To better understand a behavior we need to compare it to an already seen already and understood situation. And what could better help us understand a specific behavior than our own experience, our own behavior and our own emotions.

  • Heart Of The Okavango: Island Of Lions African Predators & Preys Documentary Real Wild

    51:53

Described as the jewel of the Kalahari, Okavango is a tranquil and isolated oasis set in Botswana's unsympathetic desert. Home to many of Africa's big predators and indigenous semi-nomadic tribes, the Okavango Delta is a unique natural resource and one of the largest deltas in the world. Today, it is an oasis teeming with an amazing cross-section of unexpected animal life. Fish, crocodiles, hippos and antelope coexist in the delta, and the lion rules this kingdom. This is a rich but rare paradise, isolated by the watery wilderness of the delta. But will the recent discovery of tourism endanger the beating heart of Okavango?

10 Wild Animals Caught on Camera during Lockdown

If you’re watching this video in 2020, it’s probably because you’re locked inside your house, following your government’s efforts to stop the spread of a deadly virus. And if you’re watching this video in 2021 or any other future year, I just hope that the virus stopped spreading and that now you’re free to go out and enjoy the world. Now, lockdowns have been some of the most strict and challenging things that most of us had to go through. However, not everything is that bad. Thanks to the fact that a lot of people were inside their houses, the animal kingdom took over the streets of the cities and a lot of other places that are usually crowded by humans, leaving little to none room for animals to roam free. Today we’ll be looking at “10 Wild Animals Caught on Camera during lockdown.” We’ll explore different parts of the world and witness some of the most amazing sights that happened during lockdown. When you see my top pick for the day, you’ll be glad to know that no humans were around when these animals came out. Let’s check them out.

    Wild Boars in Israel
    (

Some people find them cute, but some people are not so fond of them. And even though they’re not really threatening, wild boars and humans prefer to stay at a distance from each other. However, things changed in the municipality of Haifa in Israel as the authorities began to notice there were wild boars roaming their community. Usually, wild boars would sneak into Haifa and search for food in the different restaurant dumpsters around town. But when the lockdown started, more wild boars began to show up and since the restaurants were closed, the wild boars began to feast on people’s trash cans. The amount of wild boars was so high, that Haifa’s authorities had to have a zoom meeting to address the problem. They surely love animals, but they didn’t want them to disturb people’s neighborhoods. But not all the people seemed to care - many of them actually provided meals to the boars, which of course, the government was not approving of. But what can you do when you love animals and they come to you? Of course you wanna pet and feed them! Just make sure you don’t give them anything that could compromise their health. That would be unfortunate.

    Flamingos in Albania
    (

The sight of a bird in the wild might not be a big deal for most of us. But when you look at this lake in Albania, you can see that the amount of flamingos in the area is anything but ordinary. After all, some birds enjoy solitude and just like most other animals, flamingos feel more comfortable when there are no humans around. Authorities reported that there were at least 3,000 flamingos in different lagoons on the country’s western coast line. Thousands of them got together at Narta Lagoon, a popular spot that flamingos used for mating after flying all the way from the African continent and the southern part of the Mediterranean. With no tourists in sight, flamingos have enjoyed the setting without anyone distracting them. According to an environmental expert, the lockdown has made this the “time for love” and it’s really showing.

    Pigeons in Germany
    (

Birds are not only in remote and exotic places. A lot of them are very near to us. If you live in a city, you probably know a park or two where people gather to feed pigeons. So what happens when there are no humans outside to feed them? Well, that’s what a German animal rights group is trying to figure out. There are photos of different cities that show pigeons in a lot of random places - some of them are even inside shopping centers and other buildings where they normally would not stay for too long. The animal rights group is trying to raise awareness since the lack of human activities means there are no leftovers or nice people to share food with these birds. What’s even worse is that the lockdown happened right in the middle of breeding season, which means that a lot of young birds could die if their parents don’t find any food for them. So, if you are in Germany or any other city around the world, don’t hold back on your left overs and share some with the birds!

  • Africa Wildlife - Wild Animals in Africa Documentary | Predators

    50:02

Best known are the mammals and the best known of these are the famous Big Five: Elephant Lion Rhino Leopard and Buffalo.

South Africa's Bushveld (bushland) and savannah regions are still home to large numbers of the mammals universally associated with Africa.
The Kruger National Park alone has over 9000 Elephants and 20000 buffaloes - in 1920 there were an estimated 120 elephants left in the whole of South Africa.

The white rhino has also been brought back from the
brink of extinction and now flourishes with a Kruger population of nearly 3000 and 1600 in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park in KwaZulu-Natal. Attention now is on
    protecting the black rhino.

Both these parks are home to all five of the big ones as are other major reserves in South Africa - such as Pilanesberg in North West - and numerous smaller reserves and private game lodges.

The lion tops the food chain - and the glamour stakes.
But it does have one formidable enemy in people who have expelled it from most of the country so that it now remains almost exclusively in conservation areas.

The beautiful leopard survives in a larger area including much of the southern Cape and far north of the country although numbers are small in some places.

The third of the famous big cats is particularly fascinating. The cheetah is the speed champ capable of dashes of almost 100 kilometres an hour. However vulnerable to
the loss of cubs to other predators the cheetah's population is comparatively small and confined mostly
to the far north (including the Kruger National Park) the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Northern Cape and
reserves in KwaZulu-Natal and North West.

  • Wild Dog Plays Dead To Escape Lion

    1:49

Calvet, a forty-nine-year-old African Bush Camps’ guide, and his guests from Somalisa Camp were on a game drive in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, when they came across a pack of wild dogs that just finished eating a kudu but ended up being too close to a lioness!

    Book your trip to Zimbabwe:

There was another vehicle from Somalisa Camp at the sighting (it can be seen in the video) and both vehicles had around 4 guests in it.

Send in your wildlife video here, and earn money:

The wild dogs had killed a kudu and spent most of the day resting and cooling off in the pan. However, in the afternoon they were spotted by a female lion. The lioness is one of Cecil's daughters who is nursing cubs not too far from Chris pan, where the sighting took place, and she is a bit of a celebrity there in Hwange National Park.

With her eyes fixed on the pack, Cecil’s daughter crouched and started to stalk, and in the flash of a moment, she pounced and managed to grab one of the dogs. As you can hear on the audio of the video, the Somalisa guests were in a slight state of shock, as the attack of the lioness came rather immediate and as a surprise.

Book your trip to Zimbabwe here:
The lioness held onto the wild dog for a long time which seemed lifeless in her grip and many already believed it was already dead, as it stayed completely still. The Somalisa guests felt helpless for the captured wild dog and had almost given up hope for him. When another member of the pack approached the lioness, she sprang into action, attacking the other wild dog ferociously.

Then, to the surprise of everyone watching, the previously caught wild dog got up and was able to make his escape. The guests were very relieved at this and were amazed to see how the wild dog was able to pretend to be dead for so long.

Both wild dogs have been confirmed to have survived the attack unharmed. This incident took place two or so weeks ago and our follow up sees that the wild dog, named “Notch,” is still alive and seemingly healthy, which is a relief as he is the alpha male of the pack, which we call the “Kennedy pack.” The alpha female, called “Storm” is very pregnant, so some pups are hopefully on the way as well. We couldn't identify the second dog grabbed but it has also been confirmed to have survived.

This is an extremely rare sighting and Calvet himself has never seen such a scenario in over ten years as a safari guide. His advice to someone who might have this same experience one day is to “keep an eye out for the underdog and to never underestimate wild dogs!”

Music: Summer Smile - Silent Partner

    SUMMARY
Many wild animals can be dangerous or even fatal for a person. If you look at the statistics, you might feel terrified.
    - Sharks cause just six deaths a year - their infamous reputation is very exaggerated.
    - Wolves are responsible for ten deaths annually.
    - Lions kill 22 people a year.
    - Now get ready: elephants, cute lovely giants, are the reason that more than 500 people lose their lives every year!
    - Hippopotamuses equal them in this scary competition.
    - Crocodiles turn out to be much more dangerous than sharks: about one thousand deaths a year.
    - But the champion here is the snake: 100,000 people meet their end at the teeth of this reptile.

We hope you will never have to escape from a rhinoceros, swim away from a crocodile, or meet a hungry lion. However, now you will be able to protect yourself in the wilderness.

  • National Geographic Documentary 2019 HD - Endangered Species Animals

    54:37

National Geographic Documentary 2019 HD - Endangered Species Animals
An endangered species is a species which has been categorized as very likely to become extinct. Endangered (EN), as categorized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, is the second most severe conservation status for wild populations in the IUCN's schema after Critically Endangered (CR).

In 2012, the IUCN Red List featured 3079 animal and 2655 plant species as endangered (EN) worldwide.[1] The figures for 1998 were, respectively, 1102 and 1197.

Many nations have laws that protect conservation-reliant species: for example, forbidding hunting, restricting land development or creating preserves. Population numbers, trends and species' conservation status can be found in the lists of organisms by population.
