Elon Musk just reveal How The SpaceX Starship Launch Tower Will 'Catch' The Gigantic Super Heavy Rocket

Elon Musk finally revealed How exactly The SpaceX Starship Launch Tower Will 'Catch' The Gigantic Super Heavy Rocket after almost a year of being known.

Welcome back to SpaceX Fans, don't forget to hit subscribe and turn on the notification feature to make sure that you won’t miss any interesting information about Elon Musk, SpaceX, or anything related to Space.
Now let’s get back to today’s content.

The giant monster Mechazilla is really becoming the focus of SpaceX and Elon Musk this month.
On Wednesday evening, SpaceX Chief Engineer Elon Musk shared this video of the first test of the catching arms with the empty load test water bags. He said: Frank and Beans.

After that, he shared a video showing the Starbase launch tower and also a render of how the Starship launch tower will ‘catch’ the gigantic Super Heavy rocket.
“Maybe something like this,” he captioned the video animation that shows a set of graphs with body acceleration and altitude parameters as Super Heavy descends on to the launch tower’s robotic arms.
In the video render, the claw-like arms are designed to ‘catch’ the rocket with “with load points just below the grid fins” and “shock absorption is built into tower arms,” Musk previously said.
We can see the catch arms closing on the booster during the landing, to catch the booster from the 2 pins, and if something went wrong the grid fins are ready to take the hit, of course, we hope not, and we hope that everything goes according to the plan.

Well, this isn't the first time we've seen the SpaceX catching arm in action. Thanks to the great dedication of Tijn M, C-bass Productions, ErcX space, Mr. Owe and other SpaceX 3D creators. Most of their designs are roughly equivalent to this render of Elon Musk. However, oh it can't be 100%, Mechazilla doesn't move much at all. The only movement is a small closure of the arms. The booster does the work and is precise enough to hit the target spot. Now we joke that this is more like a booster landing on sticks than sticks catching a booster.

SpaceX has started building a Starship launchpad on Florida’s Space Coast

Elon Musk just revealed SpaceX has begun building a launchpad for its Starship rockets in Florida, as the company looks to add another location to launch the mammoth rocket that is in development.
Why did Elon Musk suddenly re-implement this old plan?
Let's expose all about it in this episode of SpaceX Fans:
Welcome back to the SpaceX Fans channel, don't forget to hit subscribe and turn on the notification feature to make sure that you don’t miss any interesting information about Elon Musk, SpaceX, and everything related to the Space niche world.

First, why does SpaceX continue to build another Starship orbital launch pad at the Cape?
First, here's a site that's the historic aerospace industry, it fits perfectly with the meaning of future SpaceX flights:
With SpaceX: 39A is hallowed spaceflight ground – no place more deserving of a Starship launch pad.”
Tom Engler, director of planning and development at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, said that he thinks the SpaceX plan is “really exciting.”
“If you look at the history of the launchpad, this is probably right in line with how it was meant to be used,” Engler said. “To us, it’s really just kind of a reaffirmation of the thought process of why that pad was built, to begin with.”
Launch Complex-39A has historic significance because it is the same location from where Apollo NASA astronauts lifted off atop the Saturn V rocket on a voyage to set foot on the lunar surface. Pad-39A also supported Space Shuttle missions up until its retirement in 2011. SpaceX is leasing the launch complex, it is from where Falcon 9 launches crew and cargo flights to the International Space Station. The company already has permission to make modifications at Pad-39A to support future Starship missions.

    Booster 4 will never FLY!

It's been almost a month since the last time SpaceX tested the first flightworthy Super Heavy: Booster 4 (B4). Industry experts and fans alike have been excitedly anticipating the next steps for B4, but since then it seems that B4 has been treated estranged while other prototypes are being finished at an amazing speed.
So why? What is really happening with Booster 4?
We have received a lot of comments about its fate.
In today's episode, let's take a look at all the possible reasons why Booster 4 is NEVER going to leave the ground under its own power.

Welcome back to SpaceX Fans, don't forget to hit subscribe and turn on the notification feature to make sure that you won’t miss any interesting information about Elon Musk, SpaceX, or anything related to Space.
Now let’s get back to today’s content.

To be clear from the outset, our assumption doesn't mean that SpaceX will throw away the B4 immediately.
B4 is still needed for commissioning tests of the orbital launch mount. This is considered an indispensable task for the development of Starship. Notably, SpaceX recently fully installed Super Heavy booster’s ‘aerocovers’.
By this, they're also learning how to handle and operate with fully finished Booster so they can finish that type of thing for Booster 7.

Moreover, SpaceX still needs to do some important ground tests with B4 to get more data.
As it stands, Super Heavy B4 is likely just a few parts shy of true completion and is about as ready as it’ll ever be for static fire testing. More likely than not, those aerocovers and Raptor heat shields are essential for Super Heavy B4 to be able to perform more than one test at a time without immediately requiring major repairs. Unlike Starship, which has mostly tested three engines at once and only performed a few six-engine static fires, Super Heavy B4 may eventually test all 29 Raptor engines simultaneously.
WHY SpaceX Starship Super Heavy Booster 4 will never FLY?

JUST REVEALED! SpaceX Starship First ORBITAL FLIGHT in January, Says Elon Musk
Musk is aiming for SpaceX to complete work on the launch pad and launch tower at Starbase, the company’s sprawling facility in Boca Chica, Texas, later this month, with the first orbital launch set for January 2022. That would be followed by possibly a dozen additional launches, possibly more, throughout the rest of 2022, Musk said.

That doesn’t mean Starship will reach orbit in January, however, as Musk was careful to note. “There’s a lot of risk associated with this first launch,” he said. “So I would not say that it is likely to be successful, but I think we will make a lot of progress.”
The other major barrier to a January launch is regulatory approval. SpaceX’s launch activities at Starbase are currently undergoing an environmental assessment with the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA said earlier this week that it would wrap up that review by December 31, so if all goes according to Musk’s plans, a January launch is the earliest possible date.
Musk also estimated it could start selling Starship launches at prices cheaper than the Falcon 9 in around two years, which are even earlier than the timeline part of SpaceX’s proposal for NASA’s Human Landing System.
It’s hard to overstate the scale of Starship, which includes the Starship spacecraft and the Super Heavy rocket, compared to all other launch systems in history. Fully assembled, it stands 394 feet tall (by comparison, NASA’s in-development Space Launch System and Orion spacecraft is 322 feet fully stacked). Starship could have the capacity to repeatedly launch more than 100 tons into orbit and function as what Musk described as “a generalized transport mechanism for the greater solar system.”
SpaceX has achieved another major milestone in its Starship fully reusable launch system: It stacked the Starship spacecraft itself on top of a prototype of its Super Heavy booster, which itself is loaded up with a full complement of 29 Raptor rocket engines, and the Starship on top has six itself. The stacked spacecraft now represents the tallest assembled rocket ever developed in history.
This stacking, which happened at SpaceX’s development site in south Texas, is a significant development because it’s the first time the two elements of the full Starship system have been united as one. This is the configuration that will be used for launching the next Starship prototype on its test mission that will hopefully achieve orbit.
Taken together, the massive combined launch system reaches nearly 400 feet tall (around 390 feet, to be more precise), and combined with the orbital launch stand on which it rests, the whole thing is about 475 feet high, which is taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza.
The stacking itself is impressive, but don’t expect it to last: The likely next step is for the two halves of the launch system to be separated again, with both undergoing more work, analysis and testing ahead of a reassembly in preparation for the actual eventual orbital launch test.
As for when the orbital launch test will actually take place, it’s not currently clear. The disassembly, testing and reassembly will take some time, but the company is definitely still aiming to make that happen before end of year.
But Musk isn’t aiming to build one, or two, or even 10 Starships; instead, he estimated during the talk that humanity may need around 1,000 launch systems to make life truly multiplanetary. And SpaceX has built a factory to mass manufacture them — or as close to mass manufacturing as you could get.

Space travel is not an easy feat; it takes years of planning and a great deal of time to develop and fine-tune all the equipment needed for these explorations. SpaceX is relatively new to space exploration, but it moves and develops incredibly fast. They are racing against time, and the world is holding its breath, waiting for the private space exploration company to complete a milestone that would change how we look at space travel forever. There are many people dependent on the success of SpaceX and its Starship rocket.
The CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, is nursing his dream of having humanity colonize another planet, Mars in particular. But without the success of the Starship rocket system, all those dreams will never become a reality. In today’s video, we’ll talk about SpaceX’s plans to launch the Super Heavy in January 2022. The actualization of this goal will be a vote of confidence for everyone invested or dependent on the success of the Starship rocket system, and it will mark the first test flight of the rocket system into orbit.
The Starship is remarkable; it is a fully reusable rocket that will reduce the cost of space travel by a considerable margin. The Starship spacecraft can transport over 100 people into space. It will be capable of revolutionary features like refueling in space. It can be converted to transport just cargo and land at a designated spot. Elon Musk and his team have designed one of the strangest landing techniques we have ever seen. The starship will fall back to earth using propulsion to keep itself upright and vertical before landing on mechanical arms on the launch tower. The Starship is vital to the future of space travel, but it is not complete without its second stage, the Super Heavy.

Progress is picking up satisfactorily for the Starship’s development. Well, we may have exaggerated a little in the sense that it may not be satisfactory for the fast-living entrepreneur like Elon Musk. The Starship is set to go places, and it has to be continually improved to reach even further, and that’s exactly what Elon Musk is doing as he finally reveals the new 18m wide starship 2.0
You're undoubtedly aware that Starship will be a completely reusable orbital launch and reentry vehicle with a height of 120 meters (390 feet), 9 meters (30 feet) higher than the Saturn V. A Super Heavy booster and a Starship spacecraft make up the rocket's two stages. The Raptor and Raptor Vacuum engines power both stages, which feature bodies constructed of SAE 304L stainless steel. Since SpaceX produces Starships through operational testing, rather than testing each component individually, prototypes are flown directly. As a result, its design is flexible.

making it the farthest traveled crewed spacecraft ever! However, apart from transporting
people, the Starship will have another huge function: transporting cargo! As Elon Musk
has revealed, transporting cargo with the powerful Starship requires a different
configuration! How much can the Starship carry, and how will SpaceX deploy it for
cargo transport? Join us as we explore the new Starship Cargo transport as revealed by
    SpaceX!
Humans have been carrying cargo since the beginning of humanity! Global commerce
requires that large volumes of freight move from one part of the world to another! In fact,
each year, about 11 billion tons of cargo is moved by ship, meaning 1.5 tonnes for each
person alive today! That is just by ship because billions of tonnes more are moved by
    air, rail, and road!
The need to move cargo, however, is not limited to the earth! When cargos are moved
to space, they are usually called payloads, and they vary in nature. Some companies
launch satellites, including SpaceX, which is launching Starlink satellites to orbit to
provide internet services to people everywhere on earth! It has about 2,000 Starlink
satellites up there already and won't stop until there are more than 12,000 orbiting the
earth! SpaceX even delivers cargo to the International Space Station for NASA!
Musk has set his eyes on the cargo transport sector and plans to revolutionize it! He will
do so both in space and on the earth! How will he do this? Musk has a not-so-secret
weapon: the Starship! It is not secret because you can follow along with how the
Starlink is taking shape right on YouTube through 24 hour cameras! However, while
your mind will be blown by the massive work the SpaceX crew is doing, you will be
more amazed by the plans that Musk has for the Starship in the cargo transport
industry, as you shall see in this video! But first, what makes the Starship a good vehicle
for transporting large cargo? At least four things!
First is that the Starship is very powerful. In fact, it is the most powerful rocket ever to be
built! The rocket produces 72 MN of trust, thanks to its collection of Raptor engines!
With this much power, the Starship can lift more than 100 tons of cargo to space,
handily beating every other rocket, including the Falcon series! This extraordinary
capacity makes the Starship the darling of the cargo hauling industry as it will allow you
to carry as much as you want!
Secondly, the Starship has a large volume, allowing it to fit in cargos of different sizes!
The payload volume is a massive 1,100 meter cubed and can fit a load up to 18 meters
in height and 9 meters in width, much more than what other rockets offer currently!
The third is speed! The Starship moves at a blistering speed of 16,777 miles per hour!
This will allow it to cover long distances in a short time! To put this speed in proper
context, the typical commercial passenger jet flies at a speed of about 400 to 500 knots,
which is about 460 to 575 miles per hour! There really is no contest here, as the
Starship will leave all cargo aircraft in the dust!
There is one other important reason that makes the Starship perfect for transporting
cargo, and it is the cost! Rockets have traditionally been one expensive method to
transport cargo, and that is because of how they operate! They are basically one-use
items, meaning you discard the rocket after each launch! Imagine being able to use
your car once! That means you need to purchase a new vehicle each time you need to
go out! Anyway, with rockets being so expensive to build, transporting cargo with them
    has remained very expensive!
Musk, however, is working his way around that limitation! The Starship is fully reusable,
meaning you can operate it like airlines do with their planes! SpaceX had been working
towards this full reusability with the Falcon rockets, which are partially reusable. The
company salvages their booster, refurbishes them, and fires them up again! In the case
of the Starship, the two stages can be reflown many times! In fact, Musk expects the
booster to be ready for another flight in under an hour!
With this reusability, the cost of launches crashes to about 2 million dollars, a lot less
than the competition is doing! Yet, this is just the starting point because Musk plans to
    drive the cost down further!
So, how will Musk use the Starship for transporting cargo? There are two areas of
application that Musk is considering! The first is space cargo movement!
Musk himself plans to use the Starship extensively for his Mar co

How SpaceX constructs the Starship Launch Mount

SpaceX Starship's fully-stacked rocket is the best-ever scene I have ever seen. In addition to the main characters, let's not forget another important element, where Starship is sitting: The Launch Mount.

Notably, as Elon Musk confirmed: This launch mount is not easy to build.
So, what made him, an excellent engineer, take a knee to say such a thing?
And how does SpaceX construct the Starship Launch Mount?

Stay tuned with us, it's time to find out more about it:
Welcome back to the SpaceX Fans channel, don't forget to hit subscribe and turn on the notification feature to make sure that you don’t miss any interesting information about Elon Musk, SpaceX, and everything related to the Space niche world.

First, what is the Orbital launch mount?
As you can see, the launch mount is a metal structure that supports the upright rocket before it launches. It is a component of a typical launch pad. Umbilical cables from the launch mount provide the rocket with power, cooling liquids, and top-up propellant before launch. The structure also helps shield the rocket from lightning strikes.

Launch mount also has features that minimize damage from the rocket's launch. When a rocket first ignites, valves lining the launch mount spray hundreds of thousands of gallons of water into the air around the exhaust, which helps lessen the rocket's deafening roar. Trenches beneath the launch mount also direct the rocket's exhaust out and away from the craft, so the flames can't rise back up and engulf the rocket itself.

Cryogenic propellants need to be continuously topped off during the launch sequence (countdown), as the vehicle awaits liftoff. This becomes particularly important as complex sequences may be interrupted by planned or unplanned holds to fix problems.

Most rockets need to be supported for a few seconds after ignition while the engines build up to full thrust. The vehicle is commonly held on the pad by hold-down arms or explosive bolts, which are triggered when the vehicle is stable and ready to fly, at which point all umbilical connections with the pad are released.

    Artificial Gravity for SpaceX Starship

The time has come for artificial gravity to shine and become a reality.
For many years there have been a large number of concepts and designs of rotating space stations and spacecraft that generate gravity for astronaut comfort, but those concepts have never left the engineering rooms. The reason why this happened is that those designs were simply not necessary for what space agencies were looking for, and they were far more expensive than the zero-gravity solutions.
But the time may have come when artificial gravity is not only helpful for our purposes in space but critical to achieving them. Future planned missions include orbital lunar permanent habitats like the Lunar Gateway, trips to Mars, or space hotels for tourists in low earth orbit. All those missions require astronauts to live in space for weeks, months, or even years.
And talking about this race, we can't help but mention SpaceX, one of the strongest contestants in the race to go to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
But, how will SpaceX generate artificial gravity on the Starship?

NOT LAUNCHING! FAA Denied SpaceX's Plans for Starship's Orbital Launch In January
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) needs to delay its environmental review of SpaceX Starship orbital launches from Boca Chica, Texas.

The administration informed SpaceX on December 28 that they would be unable to meet the original December 31, 2021 deadline because of that Starship’s first orbital flight is pushed forward until March

Today we are talking about the FAA denial on completion of Starship orbital launch due to environmental review.

But before that we welcome you all to lift off. We post daily news from the world of space. If you enjoy our content make sure to subscribe to our channel to never miss out any updates.

The environmental review is a key requirement for obtaining an FAA launch license. However,  the FAA is delaying the Final report’s release until February 28. 2022. This is due to the number of comments on this specific Programmatic Environmental Assessment.

According to the FAA, the administration received more than 18,000 public comments on the draft version of the report released in September. SpaceX is working to respond to those public comments under FAA supervision.

However, neither SpaceX nor the FAA provided additional details about the analysis of the comments.

Elon Musk confirmed in a tweet that the delay would push Starship’s first orbital flight to at least March 22.

Delays like this are not unheard of for the FAA. In fact, an environmental review of the proposed launch site in Camden, Georgia, suffered several delays before the site was awarded its spaceport licence.

SpaceX did not provide additional information on the process or when the company would complete an orbital launch from the Boca Chica site once approved.

SpaceX continues work down in South Texas while this is all ongoing. They recently conducted a couple of cryogenic tests of Super Heavy booster 4, and Starship 20 could conduct a static fire as soon as today. In between these tests, work continues to prepare the launch site for orbital operations. In addition, there were reports of issues with the tank farm at the orbital launch site, and it is understood that SpaceX is working on corrections to these issues.

While this delay is disappointing, SpaceX is not prepared for its orbital launch attempt. The launch mount is still receiving attention while work continues on the launch tower and catch arms. Booster 4 still needs to have its own static fire tests too. However, the Final PEA is only part of the story. SpaceX will still need a launch license or an experimental launch permit to conduct the orbital launch.

Starship is the massive, next-generation rocket SpaceX is developing to launch cargo and people on missions to the moon and Mars. The company is testing prototypes at a facility in southern Texas and has flown multiple short test flights.

SpaceX wants Starship to be fully reusable, with both the rocket and its booster capable of landing after a launch to be recovered for future flights. SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rockets are partially reusable. The company can regularly land and re-launch the boosters but not the upper portion, or stage, of the rocket.

The company’s next major step in developing Starship is launching to orbit. First, the company needs a launch license from the Federal Aviation Administration for the mission, with the regulator expecting to complete a key environmental assessment by the end of this year.

In the previous video, we showed you that Elon Musk’s SpaceX had completed two test firings of the engines on its Starship 20 prototype on Thursday, as the company prepares for the rocket’s first orbital launch while the Federal Aviation Administration reviews its license request.
This was a major hurdle for the spacecraft ahead of its first orbital flight test, which SpaceX had previously stated would likely happen within a couple of months. But now, SpaceX founder Elon Musk has said that the launch could happen as soon as next month.
Musk tweeted after a successful static fire, If all goes well, Starship will be ready for its first orbital launch attempt next month, pending regulatory approval.
In addition, Musk always wants Starship to be fully reusable, with both the rocket and its booster capable of landing after a launch to be recovered for future flights. SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rockets are partially reusable. The company can regularly land and re-launch the boosters but not the upper portion, or stage, of the rocket.

Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of SpaceX, said Friday the company’s huge new Starship rocket could be ready for its first orbital test launch from South Texas as soon as November, but the schedule comes with two big uncertainties that may push the launch to next year.

The launch will be the first orbital flight for the Mars-bound craft, which is being built to transport people and cargo around the Solar System.

Previous Starship prototypes have performed high-altitude flight tests from SpaceX’s Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, but the next stage of development requires a massive Super Heavy rocket in order to propel it to orbit.

The November test will see Starship SN20 launch from Starbase before separating from the booster rocket and touching down 90 minutes later off the coast of Hawaii.

SpaceX will attempt to catch the Super Heavy rocket using “robot chopsticks” attached to the launch tower – named ‘Mechazilla’ by Mr. Musk – that will guide it back down onto the pad.

The new schedule update from Musk came the day after SpaceX test-fired the newest Starship vehicle, known as Ship 20 or SN20, at the company’s development facility near Boca Chica Beach east of Brownsville, Texas. A vacuum-rated Raptor engine, similar to the engines Starship will use in space, ignited for several seconds on a launching stand at SpaceX’s Starbase complex Thursday night.

SpaceX has been developing a Starship in southeastern Texas, the United States, and progress has been made on launching tower construction and installation of the vacuum-rated Raptor engines. The vacuum-rated Raptor engines would help the vehicle in reaching space, reported Tech Crunch.

Taking to Twitter, Elon Musk shared a picture of SpaceX's Starship rocket, which is under development in Texas. The Space Padre Isle on Twitter shared four pictures of the Starbase and mentioned that the development of the Starbase launch tower was nearly complete. Replying to the post, Elon Musk said If all goes well, Starship will be ready for its first orbital launch attempt next month, pending regulatory approval.

SpaceX installed a Raptor vacuum engine – essentially a version of the engine that is optimized for use in space – and fired it up for the first time while connected to a Starship rocket. The rocket at the company’s facility in southern Texas was held down during the test in a process known as a static fire. The engine fired for just a few seconds.

Later the same evening, SpaceX performed a second short static fire test. This time it used two engines: a standard or “sea-level optimized” Raptor engine, and the vacuum engine.

Musk, in a series of tweets, explained that SpaceX continues to work on improving its Raptor engines. He said that Raptor is “currently at ~270 bar, but working on upgrades to get it over 300 bar.” Musk referenced the amount of chamber pressure within the engine, which effectively measures its performance.

Starship is the massive, next-generation rocket SpaceX is developing to launch cargo and people on missions to the moon and Mars. The company is testing prototypes at a facility in southern Texas and has flown multiple short test flights.

    =====
SpaceX’s first orbital Starship launch slips to March 2022 in NASA document.

    Welcome back to Great SpaceX!
We're here to keep you up to date on the most exciting news about SpaceX. In today's episode, we’ll be looking at the testing of the Raptor engine on the recent Ship 20 and the development progress at the Orbital tank farm.
There's also interesting information about the environmental assessment progress at SpaceX where recently the FAA hosted a virtual public hearing regarding it. Along with that NASA predicts the first orbital Starship launch date and time.
But first, if you're new to our channel, a sincere welcome from the Great SpaceX team. Make sure you subscribe to the channel and turn on the notification feature so you won't miss any of SpaceX's latest news on our channel.
Alrighty then, let’s stop all the dilly-dallying and get a move on with today’s episode of Great SpaceX!
    First, let’s start at Starbase.
After months of expectation, SpaceX has conducted the first engine testing of its Raptor engines. Everything went perfectly. However, it's sad that SpaceX only tested the RVac 5 pre-burner this time, and the TPS Tiles were missing after the test. Anyway, congratulations to the SpaceX team. It's brightening the exciting steps along our pathway to the moon, Mars, and beyond! And we're hoping for a static fire tomorrow. Once again, the window runs from 5 p.m. until midnight.

Well, also at Orbital Launch Site, on Monday, SpaceX rolled the first of the last two remaining cryoshells from their build site to the orbital tank farm. Hours later, SpaceX attached a crane, lifted the sixth cryoshell, and sleeved GSE tank #8 – the second of two methane tanks. With that installation out of the way, there’s now a good chance that Starship’s first orbital tank farm will be structurally complete by the end of the month. With a vast majority of plumbing already in place and the process of filling the spaces between cryoshells and GSE tanks with insulating foam already underway, it’s possible that the farm will be ready to support some level of Super Heavy wet dress rehearsal and static fire testing sometime next month.

In the quiet town of Boca Chica has set SpaceX's increase in activity three years ago. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that this was where the rockets for Starship were to be built and tested. SpaceX has been growing so rapidly and has gained massive success during the last couple of years that hundreds of new employees have been hired by SpaceX so they can run a 24-hour production line. Nevertheless, one of SpaceX's latest recruits snared everyone's attention. This is because a large doghouse with the name Zeus emblazoned on its top began to attract attention near the launch site. During a pressure test of their Starship prototype, a cloud of liquid nitrogen rose from the launch area and a figure appeared from the mist, which appeared to be yellow. Boston Dynamics' robot dog 'Spot' is shown here, which is a robotic pup made by the company.

  • SpaceXs Mechazilla Starship Launch Tower FINALLY Completed!

    8:53

SpaceX's Mechazilla Is Even Crazier Than We Thought!

SpaceX’s Starship launch tower got a set of monstrous robotic arms just in time for Halloween season. SpaceX founder Elon Musk calls the claw-like metallic structures ‘Mechazilla,’ a reference to the ‘Mechagodzilla’ character from the Godzilla film franchise. The claws are designed to ‘catch’ the Starship launch vehicle(s) as it returns from space. The robotic tower will also enable engineers to stack the 160-foot-tall Starship spacecraft atop the 230-foot-tall Super Heavy rocket that will propel it to orbit. It is the tallest launch vehicle in the world, taller than the U.S. Statue of Liberty. Starship/Super Heavy is also set to become the most powerful rocket ever developed.

  • Elon Musk Build This GENIUS SECRET Starship in 5 Days JUST REVEALED

    8:28

Elon Musk Build This GENIUS SECRET Starship in 5 Days JUST REVEALED
This has never been seen before from falcon 1 to recent starship prototypes like SN11 and prepared for the next starship prototypes SN15, SN16 to SN20.

SpaceX has been making rockets at an unprecedented speed, so how does SpaceX build starships so quickly. To get the answer for this we come to the four secrets behind SpaceX-built starships so quickly.

    1. Spacex Has Abundant Funding

When it comes to rocket-making, the first major stumbling block is obtaining money. It is impossible to tell if Spacex is profitable because the company is privately owned so the books aren’t available for inspection.

Most analysts on the other hand agree that Spacex must be making money by now. SpaceX has 4.2 billion dollars in contracts from NASA alone and its recent success in cracking the defense contract business breaking the united launch alliance’s military monopoly means more capital.

All of this is on top of SpaceX’s private satellite launch contracts, giving it a total of 60 launches at a value of around 7 billion. That is a lot of money for a company whose key selling point is that it can launch satellites for a third of the price of the competition freeing up a lot of cash for sales for comparison.

The falcon which was recently launched cost roughly 500 million dollars to develop while the space launch system has spent 4.8 billion dollars. There is also a lot of talk about when and if Elon Musk will go public and Wall Street is hoping he will.

To achieve his goals and build a city on Mars, Musk has recently shocked the world when he sold all the properties he owns to fund his space project. Such a decision shows how Musk is sure and confident to get his dream come true.

    2. Saving money

As we mentioned earlier SpaceX launches satellites for a third of the price of the competition. Now that is because of their smart material selection besides SpaceX rockets are reusable well. Almost all large rockets have used aluminum, titanium, or some kind of carbon composite.

In our history of space exploration, this was also supposed to be the case for a starship. But at the start of 2019 SpaceX decided that stainless steel was a better option for several reasons.

Starting with cost Elon Musk describes that carbon fiber costs 135 dollars per kilogram. But unfortunately, 35 of the material is normally lost in the construction process, meaning that each kilogram of carbon fiber that makes it onto the final rocket costs upward of 200. While stainless steel costs just three dollars per kilogram.

In addition, stainless steel is much more durable than carbon fiber. Elon Musk claims that aluminum and carbon fiber can withstand temperatures ranging from 150 to 180 degrees Celsius. You may be able to get it to 200 degrees Celsius.

But that’s usually the upper limit; stainless steel on the other hand can withstand temperatures ranging from 820 to 870 degrees Celsius. This is crucial because rockets must be able to withstand extremely high and extremely low temperatures while in flight.

Large tanks unlike smaller parts could not be produced in one piece using a forging or extrusion process. SpaceX made considerable efforts to achieve this including the early implementation of friction stir welding for reducing the amount of inspection time required per stage with its manufacturing robotics. SpaceX can now take raw metal and turn out the majority of the booster stage with minimal touch labor.

Another cost-reducing factor is reusability. The booster of the rocket can be used over and over again with very little effort. This is the polar opposite to all other rockets which are all designed to be used only once. This is both inefficient and costly. Next up is the construction process of spaces; the rockets are usually constructed in broad daylight in a clean environment in Boca Chica.

    3. The Excellent Teams

When you think of a rocket you probably imagine big dedicated machinery that handles a lot of work. The starships on the other hand are completely opposite.

The engineers at SpaceX are not only responsible for designing and maintaining the rocket but also for designing and maintaining the rocket-making systems.

In the development of starship, prototypes engineers produced a knuckle seamer or revolutionary welding tool designed to speed up starship dome tank production and boost weld efficiency. They have also created a shielded x-ray computer to check the accuracy of their welding. The new shielded x-ray machine could save teams time by allowing them to perform weld inspections in a matter of hours.

  • SpaceX JUST REVEALED their new 2022 starship plans!

    8:21

SpaceX JUST REVEALED their new 2022 starship plans!
SpaceX was almost ready to test Starship 20 when it faced the hindrance of an environmental assessment from the FAA. But has now revealed the 2022 plans for the Starship. The number of launches allowed by the administration may leave you in low spirits when you find out but watch the whole video to learn how Elon Musk will keep us thrilled all through the next year. However, the 12 crewed dear moon mission may get delayed due to all the present circumstances. It does not mean that private space flights like Inspiration4 are not in high demand. What are SpaceX’s plans for the next year and how will it keep the action going at Boca Chica? Are there any new launch and land techniques that will be used for the Starship? What other developments at Spaceport will play a role in this huge leap for humanity?
The video today will first go over the FAA environmental assessments and how it affects SpaceX’s plans for 2022 related to the Starship. Then we will discuss the growing demand for private space flights and how Musk will perform 5 times more launches than the orbital ones allowed in one year. After that, we will talk about the different landing techniques and infrastructure that will be seen at this time. The last part of the video will go over the developments seen in booster 5 and mechazilla, both of which are directly related to the Starship. Here’s a quick reminder that you can subscribe for free and like the video so that we can boost the algorithm. Comments are most welcomed and the best ones will get featured in one of our upcoming videos
    FAA Assessment and Starship Flights
The highly anticipated environmental assessment by the Federal Aviation Administration has been done and is now open for public review until the 18th of October. A major outcome of the report was the design of the launch tower. It has been approved the same as SpaceX had shown in illustrations. The superheavy and starship will be placed on a launch mount and held by the integration tower. Black protective panels will be added to the structure for protection from raptor engine blast. Musk’s company is near to completing this.
SpaceX has been allowed to perform only five orbital launches in one year. This is a small number when compared to Musk’s claim of hundreds of Starship launches. These operations are necessary for the dear moon mission which is scheduled to fly humans somewhere in 2023. Two possibilities arise from this situation. One is that SpaceX will face substantial delays due to the five launch restriction. Secondly, the company may be planning to do the rest at a location other than Boca Chica.
The second option weighs it according to the latest footage of the Kennedy Space Center during the Inspiration4 mission. SpaceX has begun developing the launch pad 39 A for Starship’s specifications. Musk himself has tweeted that once the operations get flowing in Boca Chica, the spacecraft will be launched from Cape on a long-term basis.
Another thing revealed by the FAA assessment is the dilemma faced by SpaceX. The company is yet to decide whether to integrate a water deluge system and a flame diverter to the launch mounts of Starship orbital. Footage from early 2020 shows ramp-like structures getting built which depicts that the plan to integrate these is not a new one.
Growing demand For Private Space Missions
Inspiration4 and Dearmoon are not the only private missions assigned to SpaceX. The demand for such space flights has risen significantly and a huge reason for it is the company’s successes. However, the price is very substantial for now and not everyone can afford it. Currently, Musk has only one operational ship and it’s the Dragon. A commercial flight to the International Space Station on the Dragon cost about 220 million dollars. Once the Starship flights begin, the price will fall substantially low but there is still at least a decade until that happens.
Dearmon may also be pushed ahead due to the launch restrictions for the starship. The price paid for it is not yet disclosed but speculations are being made that it is somewhere between 300 to 500 million US dollars for a crew of 12 persons. Once the new spacecraft gets perfected and safe for public use, it won't be a surprise to see one-day suborbital cruises at a price that will be high but not out of the reach of too many people.

    25 Launches In 12 month
Just because the Starship has been limited to five orbital launches does not mean that we won't get to see a lot of action at Boca Chica. SpaceX has planned twenty suborbital launches in a year. These will consist of the super-heavy rocket with and without the new ship. This adds up to a total of 25 flights in the next twelve months. It means that we will get to see one every two weeks. Doing this will prove the company’s credibility in terms of practicality and safety. This will be no ordinary feat if the company pulls it off

  • SpaceX Early Launch Date... Heres EVERYTHING You Need To Know!

    8:02

SpaceX Early Launch Date... Here's EVERYTHING You Need To Know!

Welcome back to Tech Craze, today on the channel we are going to talk about Elon Musk Updates His Vision for SpaceX’s Starship. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has laid out a scenario for space travel that calls for his company’s Starship launch system to take on its first orbital test flight as soon as January. Starship could go through “a dozen launches next year, maybe more,” and be ready to send valuable payloads to the moon, Mars and even the solar system’s outer planets by 2023, Musk said during a Nov. 17 online meeting of the National Academies’ Space Studies Board and Board on Physics and Astronomy.

But he advised against sending anything too valuable on the first flight to Mars. “I would recommend putting the lower-cost scientific mission stuff on the first mission,” he said, half-jokingly. The National Academies presentation followed up on big-picture talks that Musk delivered in 2016 (when Starship was known as the Interplanetary Transport System), 2017 (when it was known as the BFR or “Big Frickin’ Rocket”) and 2018 (when Musk settled on “Starship”). Musk’s basic concept is the same: Starship and its giant Super Heavy booster would be a one-size-fits-all system that could be used for point-to-point suborbital travel, orbital space missions and all manner of trips beyond Earth orbit, including moon landings. It’d be capable of lofting more than 100 tons to low Earth orbit (three times as much as the space shuttle), and sending 100 people at a time to Mars. In another SpaceX news, SpaceX will launch NASA's DART mission to crash into an asteroid soon and you can watch it live. What we're trying to learn is how to deflect a threat, NASA's Thomas Zurbuchen said. NASA will launch a mission to crash into an asteroid (on purpose) overnight tonight and you can watch it lift off live online. The agency's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission will travel millions of miles out into the solar stem to smash into an asteroid, altering its orbit around a larger space rock to practice in the event of a rogue Earth-bound asteroid. Stay tuned for more about the Elon Musk Updates His Vision for SpaceX’s Starship.

While it’s now been more than two years since Musk last gave a proper presentation on the Starship program, a number of excellent questions from board members still managed to extract a handful of new details about the fully reusable rocket, which the SpaceX CEO says aims to “be a generalized transport mechanism for the solar system.” According to Musk, though, the most pressing near-term issues facing SpaceX are more down to Earth.

Reiterated several times in his comments to the National Academies, Musk says that the current limiting factor for Starship is securing regulatory approvals from the FAA for the rocket’s first orbital test flights, which SpaceX and Musk initially hoped would begin as early as mid-2021. Targets from July to November 2021 have since come and gone, while SpaceX has only begun to make concerted progress towards Starship’s first orbital launch in the last two or so months. Almost two months after its first rollout, Starship S20 – the first orbital-class prototype – began integrated testing, completing ambient and cryogenic proof tests in late September and its first Raptor preburner and static fire tests in the second half of October.

Most recently, after almost a month spent inactive at SpaceX’s Starbase test facilities, Starship S20 fired up all six of its Raptor engines – the first test of its kind and a major milestone for the program. Save for the completion of some relatively simple closeout tasks, Starship S20 is now more or less qualified for flight after its successful static fire. That leaves Super Heavy Booster 4 (B4) – the first stage meant to carry Ship 20 into space – up next on SpaceX’s South Texas testing docket after almost four agonizing months spent sitting, untested, at various Starbase facilities.

Musk says that SpaceX is preparing to complete “a bunch of tests in December” with the implication that those tests likely include the first full Super Heavy wet dress rehearsal (WDR) with thousands of tons of live propellant and the first several booster static fire tests. Recently refitted with 29 Raptor engines for the third time in four months, it appears that SpaceX is finally close to finishing Super Heavy B4 to a point that will allow the booster to begin integrated testing. Through Super Heavy B3, which completed testing this summer, SpaceX thankfully already knows that the basic booster design is a structurally sound pressure vessel with plumbing and systems capable of surviving a three-Raptor static fire.

Still, that’s barely more than 10% of the total number of engines Super Heavy will need operational to send Starship to orbit. After months at the pad, SpaceX is finally closing out Booster 4’s aft section and installing a basic heat shield around its 29 Raptor engines, which will produce up to ~5400 metric tons (~12M lbf) of thrust at liftoff – more than any other rocket in history. Following Starship S20’s recent success, SpaceX has now fired six Raptors simultaneously and in close proximity without issue. However, Super Heavy B4 will have to fire 29 engines packed into roughly the same amount of space. No other liquid rocket stage in history has a more densely-packed thrust section, averaging at least 85 tons of thrust per square meter (~125 psi) of available engine space.
