  • She JUMPED! 35 Foot Drop

    20:21

    She Jumped!

Our Family travels to Lava Hot Springs and visits a huge water park with slides and a 25 foot Diving Board. Everyone jumps off of the 35 Foot Drop except for a few family members. It was super scary, and some overcome their biggest fears.

We also go white water rafting down the Lava Hot Springs on tubes. It was crazy! We went over several rapids and some small waterfalls. Jordyn touches a stinging nettle plant and gets painful, itchy welts all over her hand and arm.

How to Draw Video Game Characters

    Supplies used:
For my regular drawings I start with a black Sharpie fine point marker. I then use Bianyo brand markers to color them in or you can use whatever you feel most comfortable with. I'm also drawing on printer friendly paper to prevent ink bleeding.

For my sketch tutorials I experiment with various pencil brands but right now I'm happy using black Staedtler 2B-8B pencils on sketch paper. My go to is the 4B pencil.

  • Why Do Electrical Plugs Have Holes

Extension cords that put the holes to good use:
This has been something which I have wondered about for a long time so I decided to start digging in and see what I found. After looking through NEMA standards, Underwriters Lab (UL) testing, Wiki articles, and discussion boards I have found 2 reasons why these holes exist. Additionally, I will debunk some of the other reasons I have seen online which I don't believe are valid.

  • 50 Of Robins Holy Sayings From Batman

    1:51

This guy's religion is very complicated.

In this episode of Next of Ken, we're counting down 50 Of Robin's Holy Sayings From Batman (1966). Robin's alliteration game was pretty on point, we can't lie. Although the show only lasted a couple years, it has gained a massive cult following since then. From the costumes to the set designs to Adam West and Burt Ward's hammy acting, everything about the show screamed camp and we've never loved it more. One of the most memorable lines of dialogue on the show were Robin's signature holy catchphrases and here's our tribute.

    RIP Adam West. :(

Many times I have shown up to a film set and there are not enough outlets for all of my lights and equipment. I don't have any power bars or splitters to use either. So this technique will save my future films.

A tool every filmmaker should have on them is mechanics wire. This is perfect to fasten lights to the ceiling or even as a safety chain. The fact that it is conductive increases it's usefulness.

Almost every filmmaking channel here on YouTube teaches you the exact same thing as everyone other channel. So here on The Canadian Hoser we take things in a new direction.

Handy Hoser is a Canadian Hoser series that parodies every DIY filmmaking channel while taking inspiration from the Canadian classic television show: The RedGreen show. We have done everything to wiring a car battery to a DSLR all the way to creating a heating system for gaff tape; the Canadian Hoser gives you ideas for your own projects. There are so many filmmaking tutorials teaching you the exact same thing. Why not have someone show you something different, even if it's not orthodox.

The Canadian Hoser is inspired by the original Hosers on SCTV and the film Strange Brew. Bob and Doug McKenzie (Rick Moranis & Dave Thomas).

    Take off you hosers.

  • The case of the mysterious cable arcing

    16:51

Reece sent this plug-in thermostat and extension cable after an incident when he plugged it in and the cable immediately started burning in the vicinity of the sensor cable.

Quite interesting analysis of the cable damage with bonus teardown of the thermostat.

In hindsight, the fault may have been initiated by the core being partially cut through, as indicated by the outer damage on the cable.

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

We all strive for the ideal, but this doesn’t mean we can avoid reality. What do we do when our carefully cultivated social media images don’t really reflect the fullness of our real lives? How do we manage that tension? Oftentimes, we try to filter it or change the ideal. But Jesus gives us another way

  • OAONAN leakage protection plug, what are the functions

    1:59

What I want to describe is a British standard leakage protection plug

The leakage protection plug is also called the residual current protection plug. When the electrical leakage occurs, in the electrical circuit, a part of the current will inevitably flow through the ground wire or the human body and other conductors instead of flowing back to the transformer from the live wire through the neutral It flows into the earth and forms a tributary outside the main circuit, which is what we usually call leakage.

The leakage protection plug is to detect the residual current in the ground wire loop. The working principle is to pass the two power cords (live wire and neutral wire) of the plug into the center hole of a special zero-sequence current transformer at the same time. When the electrical appliance is normally using electricity, the current flowing in the live wire and the neutral wire is exactly the same Yes, once the current enters and the other exits, the secondary coil of the current transformer has no voltage output.

Leakage protection plugs are widely used in electric heating tables, storage water heaters, hair dryers, electric clips, electric scissors, vacuum cleaners, electric bathtubs, electric water heaters, rice cookers, televisions, refrigerators, microwave ovens, washing machines, dishwashers, Leakage protection for terminal electrical appliances such as disinfection cabinets, water dispensers, computers, electric tools, medical equipment, and instruments.

  • Elite Dangerous - The Future of Odyssey - Some Ideas and Suggestions

    9:03

The planets didn’t quite align for the launch of Elite Dangerous Odyssey, and whilst the game still has a long way to go, Frontier have been making some progress. Looking towards the future, it appears as though Frontier might finally be treating Elite as a live-service game.

Today, we are seven updates after the Odyssey launch. Two further updates have been announced, with Update 8 focusing on mega-ship interiors, and 9 focusing on Fleet Carrier Interiors and a new SRV. It seems very likely then, that this maybe the trend that Frontier continue to follow, with a new update every 4 to 6 weeks. If that is to be the case, then what could Update 10, 11 and beyond bring?

Here’s a few ideas I want to put out there. Keep in mind that these are entirely suggestions, and that Frontier haven’t confirmed or even hinted at anything like this. Bottom line, here are a few things I would like to see that I feel would improve Odyssey dramatically.

In this episode of Flight Chops, we’re again putting the new FlightChops #VansAircraft RV-14 through the paces, logging more break-in time on the Lycoming Thunderbolt engine. We use CloudAhoy’s precision scoring and the Tracklog Import features to import the day’s flight data from the Garmin panel. Dave and I score our take offs, traffic patterns, and try to manage and perfect our descent profile for #Landing at CYQG.

Post your #CloudAhoyScore to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!

The system works by auto-recognizing many VFR and IFR maneuvers.
The updated landing scoring features in CloudAhoy are insanely detailed, to help debrief, analyse, and improve with a concentration on target airspeed, rate of descent, and centerline alignment. The system was able to significantly improve my score by looking at the speed at 50 feet AGL rather than over the threshold as it had done in the previous iteration. (This works for visual approaches ending with short and long field landings). The score for the same flight went from 63 before the update to 92 with the enhancements applied in the latest debrief. This was home base on a big runway with fairly easy conditions, so I’ve still got a lot of work to do to become proficient and efficient at managing energy in the #VansAircraft RV-14.
