My battery is low, and its getting dark.
This is the final message NASA scientists received from the opportunity rover on mars. Launched in the summer of 2003, along with its twin rover spirit, the missions were designed to last just 90 days. After surviving on Mars for almost 15 years, in 2018; Opportunity went silent.

  • Nasa Insider Leaks Mars Rover Photos

    10:07

NASA's Mars Rover's photos were leaked, and it looks like the US Government has been hiding some of the images that could prove alien life on the red planet.

Is there life on mars or maybe even the moon? NASA photos have revealed some strange things over the years. Images from lunar orbiters seem to show evidence of aliens on the moon and alien made structures. Conspiracy theorists have claimed photos show alien ruins and compounds. Conspiracy theorists claim this is evidence that there was one alien life on the moon, but a simple explanation may be the truth. Mars rover photos have shown what looks like alien remains, alien statues, alien creatures and alien buildings. NASA says many of these objects can be easily explained, but conspiracy theorists argue that these photos show evidence of life on mars now or in the past. Cannonballs on mars may be evidence of a martian war, and pyramids on mars may be evidence of intelligent life. What do you make of these photos? Are these images simply rock formations or are they actually the work of aliens? There are many interpretations. Watch the video to see some very fascinating leaked mars and moon pictures, and then you can decide for yourself. Anonymous even claims that NASA has already made contact with advanced alien life and is just waiting for the right time to reveal this shocking information to the world. Mars Rover Perseverance is set to land on Mars in 2021, and many more photos of mars will be revealed in the future. Do you believe there is life on mars or even the moon? Let us know what you think.

  • The Images You Didnt See of Cassinis Grand Finale

    8:54

In two days time, NASA's Cassini will reach the last stage of its Grand Finale when it enters Saturn's atmosphere. Leading up to this moment, Cassini has been approaching the planet closer than it ever has done before. What has it seen and discovered during this time?

In this video, I showcase the shepherd moons, rings, and planet of Saturn, giving context to the things Cassini has imaged during the Grand Finale.

Just to mention in case it isn't clear in the video, all the imagery in this video is real images taken by Cassini during the Grand Finale. The only imagery which is CGI is the animations where Cassini is in the shot.

  • Looking for Life on Mars | NOVA | PBS

    54:03

Follow along as NASA launches the Mars 2020 Mission, perhaps the most ambitious hunt yet for signs of ancient life on Mars.

The spacecraft will blaze into the Martian atmosphere at some 12,000 miles per hour and attempt to lower the Perseverance Rover in the rocky Jezero Crater, home to a dried-up river delta scientists think could have harbored life. Perseverance will comb the area for signs of life and collect samples for possible return to Earth. Traveling onboard is a four-pound helicopter that will conduct a series of test flights—the first on another planet.

During its journey, Perseverance will also test technology designed to produce oxygen from the Martian atmosphere, in hopes that the gas could be used for fuel—or for humans to breathe—on future missions.

  • NASAs Perseverance Rover Captures the Sounds of Mars

    3:16

NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover carries two microphones which are directly recording sounds on the Red Planet, including the Ingenuity helicopter and the rover itself at work. For the very first time, these audio recordings offer a new way to experience the planet.

Earth and Mars have different atmospheres, which affects the way sound is heard. Justin Maki, a scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Nina Lanza, a scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, explain some of the notable audio recorded on Mars in this video.

  • Mars: What happened to the Spirit Rover?

    16:05

    'I can't move and it's getting cold'.

If the Spirit rover could speak, this is what it would have said.

Our story begins in 2004, January 4th.

The spirit rover slams into the dusty surface of Mars, bouncing on it’s airbags 28 times before coming to rest.

It landed about 13 kilometres away from the targeted site, in the Gusev Crater.

The team at NASA informally named the landing site ‘Columbia Memorial Station’, in honour of the astronauts who were lost in the Columbia disaster, just the year before in 2003.

After a successful landing, Spirit opens its eyes. This is the first colour image Spirit captured, which was, at that time; the highest definition image ever taken on another planet.

So far the mission was running smoothly, but that was all about to change.

On January 21st, Spirit’s 17th Martian day, mission control suddenly lost contact with the rover.

The next day, Spirit sent a short beep, confirming that it had received a signal from Earth but that the rover believed it was in some sort of fault mode.

At the time, NASA engineers speculated that the rover was stuck in a reboot loop. Spirit was programmed to restart if it detected a fault, but if that fault occurred during reboot, it would continue to reboot indefinitely.

This meant that the rover was not going into sleep mode, therefore wasting it’s energy and running the risk of overheating. This error was taken very seriously and could have signalled the end of Spirit’s journey.

Luckily, on Spirit’s 19th day, the team at NASA announced that the problem was actually with Spirit’s flash memory, and the issue was software related. The fix was as easy as deleting some files carried on the rover’s flash drives and reformatting the system.

By day 32, Spirit was back up and running.

Spirit would go on to make more discoveries and run into more trouble, watch the video to see spirit's full journey.

The Mars rover Opportunity, also known as Oppy, served on Mars for 15 long years. But it couldn't make it through one of the worst storms on the Red Planet. The last message of the rover consisted of only a few words.

  • Scientists Shocked by Size of Mars’ Liquid Core

    7:59

WASHINGTON — Mars has just become the first “other” planet to have its internal structure accurately measured by human seismology sensors.

This is the first time humans have managed to directly map the internal layering of a planet other than Earth.

The data surprised NASA’s scientists and helped them to understand a lot more about how Mars formed and cooled.

The BBC reports that NASA scientists have studied data from the seismology sensors on its InSight probe and now know what the internal structure of Mars looks like.

The probe has been sensing small quakes on the planet since early 2019. Its readings reveal that Mars’ crust is between 24 and 72 kilometers thick, which is thinner than expected.

But the key finding is the size of the planet's liquid and metallic core. Its radius of 1,830 kilometers is wider than expected.

This means that the mantle between the core and the crust is thinner than previously thought. And that means it’s highly unlikely this mantle can achieve the pressures where the mineral bridgmanite becomes stable.

On Earth, this stiff mineral blankets the core, slowing convection and the loss of heat. On early Mars, its absence would have led to rapid cooling.

This initially would have permitted strong convection in the metal core, which drove a global magnetic field. But because of rapid cooling, this has now switched off and today Mars has no global magnetic field.

If Mars did have a global magnetic field, it would have provided some shielding to protect its surface from the damaging radiation that constantly rains down from space, making the planet extremely inhospitable.

Earth’s rare magnetic field is one of the many amazing reasons why life is possible on Earth.

NASA Perseverance Rover Has Discovered Something SHOCKING on Mars

Perseverance is NASA’s latest unmanned rover sent to explore the surface of Mars. It successfully landed on the red planet’s surface last February 18, 2021. Its goal is to scout the Martian surface for signs of ancient life. Perseverance is equipped with seven scientific instruments, as well as a drill bit that allows it to collect rock samples for later analysis and retrieval. The rover also has a little companion called Ingenuity, which is an autonomous mini-helicopter meant to test how powered flight would work on Mars.
Five months into its mission, what has Perseverance found on the red planet? Will it fundamentally change our understanding of Mars? Find out more in today’s video.
