SpaceXs Lunar Lander in 4K and Elon Musks explanations on Moon Mission
10:05
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk revealed Starship SE (Lunar Lander) for NASA Moon Mission on May 2nd, 2020 and here is 4K visualization. NASA announced SpaceX as general provider, but second company is Blue Origin and some other players. I’ve made some rough renders of the Lunar Starship’s landing system to compare it with Starship SN5/SN6. There is difference according to the fact, that SpaceX not going to get Starship SE back to Earth. It will be solid but simplified version of the vehicle. Here is how it will probably be landing of the Moon’s surface. I’ve tried to reconstruct it…

NASA Artemis Lunar Lander Selection Surprises Many
12:26
Five contractors submitted proposals for the Artemis Human Landing system in November, and yesterday the final 3 were announced and give cash awards to work on their concepts before the final selection. The three winners were Blue Origin, Dynetics and SpaceX but many were surprised that not only did SpaceX propose using Starship, a vehicle vastly more ambitious than required, but, NASA included them as a finalist. This marks the first time NASA has put money directly torwards Starship development.
Most believe the other two options are the safe bets, but this give SpaceX another 10 months to show significant progress on Starship and SuperHeavy development. If all goes well it might very well be used to take NASA astronauts to the moon as part of Artemis.

NASA selected SpaceX to develop a lunar optimized Starship to transport crew between lunar orbit and the surface of the Moon as part of NASA’s Artemis program.
A lunar optimized Starship can fly many times between the surface of the Moon and lunar orbit without flaps or heat shielding required for Earth return. With large habitable and storage volume, Starship is capable of delivering significant amounts of cargo for research and to support robust operations on the lunar surface to enable a sustainable Moon base.
Last year, NASA announced Starship as eligible for the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative – to deliver payloads between Earth and the Moon, and to enable humans to return to the Moon.

Inside The SpaceX Moon Launch That Just Made History
4:33
On Thursday night, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the first-ever private moon mission. The $100 million mission is headed by SpaceIL, a nonprofit organization based in Israel. The company designed and built the 1,322-pound lunar lander called “Beresheet,” which means “in the beginning” (the first words in the Bible).
Beresheet — which is equipped with cameras, magnetic sensors, and transmitters to relay data to and from to Earth — launched on Thursday inside the top of a Falcon 9 rocket in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
SpaceIL started as a Google Lunar XPrize team and is backed by South African billionaire Morris Kahn. If the Beresheet mission survives a weeks-long trip to the lunar surface, it will make Israel the fourth country ever to pull off a moon landing.

Elon Musk has big plans for the future. SpaceX’s Starship will transport humans to Mars in the future. The powerful rocket is still being tested, but the future of space travel will be here in the blink of an eye. So, what will Starship look like on the inside? Test ships are barebones, but we know what the crewed version of Starship will look like. Inside of Starship, you will find a cargo hold, mess hall, executive suites, standard seating, a control deck, and a recreation area. The control deck is where the pilots and scientists will work, but this level is different from other spaceships. It will be able to transform into a viewing gallery that will offer guests an amazing view of the stars. Starship will also feature an amazing multi-purpose recreation area where guests can watch concerts and other events. First-class cabins will be available to anyone who can afford them; they will likely cost more than $1 million. The mess hall is where you can get your grub on. SpaceX colonies on Mars will feature insect farms and cellular agriculture, so meals on Starship will consist of bugs and algae to prepare you for your new life on Mars. You have to be ready for new types of food as Mars’ soil is not suitable for agriculture. Regular seats on Starship will cost about $200,000, and each launch will cost about $2 million. Here’s a detailed look at what the crewed version of SpaceX’s Starship looks like on the inside. Keep watching to see more. Are you excited about your trip to Mars?

SpaceX Starship SN7 with Lunar Lander’s landing legs in 4K
3:40
4K renders of SpaceX Starship SN4-SN7 with landing legs from Starship SE (Lunar Lander) unveiled by Elon Musk on May 2nd, 2020. Moon Lander for mission to the Moon from SpaceX will be the special edition version of the currently building Starship rocket. Actual lander will be simplified version of starship. But I want to pay your attention for landing legs design. For current SN4/SN5 prototypes the actual legs got 6 deployable leg units.
Standard version of Starship according to SpaceX official website got 4 landing legs with linear telescopic construction. But current prototype already has 6 units. And the concept of Lunar Lander has 6 legs with similar linear telescopic construction. Obviously SpaceX will not make special design of landing legs for Lunar Lander. This vehicle will mostly get highly simplified technologies from the general version of the spacecraft. That means, the angular design of landing legs for SN4 prototype is temporal. It cause me to make a suggestion, that in the upcoming SN7 prototype we may see the same 6 linear telescopic landing legs as we have in Lunar Lander. I made several renders of Starship SN7 prototype with updated landing legs design. Here is how it is look like. I understand, this is kinda speculative topic, but I think that kind of update is possible.

SpaceX Starship Plans To Land On The Moon In 2021, And NASA Thinks Of A Partnership
10:11
SpaceX is sending signals back to the Trump administration and NASA in kind.
Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, said in an interview last week that he believes his company’s spacecraft, could return humans to the moon’s surface sooner than everyone might expect. Despite the acknowledgement of how crazy this initiative would be, he was clear that within two years the mission could be done successfully.
SpaceX would ostensibly pull off this feat using Starship, a launch system it's developing to transport people to the moon and Mars.
Well, this is gonna sound pretty crazy, but I think we could land on the moon in less than two years, Musk told. Certainly with an uncrewed vehicle I believe we could land on the moon in two years. So then maybe within a year or two of that we could be sending crew. I would say four years at the outside.
In this video, Engineering Today analyzes why Elon Musk says his SpaceX Starship could go to the moon by 2021 before NASA’s estimated plan?
Let’s get into details.

As part of a NASA program that will select one or two commercial crewed Moon landers, SpaceX is busy testing Starship and prototyping hardware and most recently built and demonstrated an elevator “in a very short period of time.”

Known as the Human Landing System (HLS) program, NASA selected three providers – a Blue Origin-led consortium, Dynetics, and SpaceX – to build prototypes and compete for one or two follow-on contracts back in April 2020.
SpaceX’s Starship offering was deemed the riskiest solution and the company received a middling $135 million to Dynetics’ ~$250 million and the “National Team’s” ~$570 million.
For their ~$820 million investment, it’s unclear what exactly NASA has gotten from its two best-funded teams aside from paperwork, a few completed design reviews, and two low-fidelity mockups mostly made out of cardboard, foam, and wood.

Meanwhile, in the ten months since SpaceX received its $135 million, the company has built no less than eight full-scale Starship prototypes, performed a dozen or more wet dress rehearsals and static fires with said prototypes, and performed two powered hops and two high-altitude test flights. Now, to add to that list of low-cost achievements, SpaceX has also built and tested a functioning prototype of the elevator Starship would use to lift and lower astronauts to and from the lunar surface.
SpaceX’s proposal is certainly a unique one, with Starship being no less than several times taller and heavier than both its prospective competitors. However, Blue Origin’s extraordinarily complex three-stage, four-component lander – requiring a separate transfer stage, descent stage, ascent stage, and crew cabin – makes even Starship seem somewhat reasonable.
Notably, that massive 8-10m (25-32 ft) stack of separate spacecraft – crew cabin at the peak – would force NASA astronauts to transit a several-story ladder to and from the lunar surface.

NASAs Artemis 3 Mission | SpaceX, Blue Origin & Dynetics Commercial Landers
7:04
NASA's Artemis 3 Mission | SpaceX, Blue Origin & Dynetics Landers
Human space exploration will finally push beyond low earth orbit for the first time in decades.
This is spearheaded by NASA's Artemis Program consisting of a two-phased approach.
The first phase will crescendo with the Artemis III mission slated for 2024, which will include the first woman astronaut to walk on the Moon.
The second phase involves establishing a sustained human presence on and around the Moon by 2028 with the construction of the Lunar Gateway.
The Gateway is already in development by NASA and other entities around the world.
It's an outpost that will orbit the Moon and will consist of at least four and possibly six modules.
The program is set up so that astronauts will travel to the Gateway via NASA's Space Launch System and Orion Spacecraft.
Then reusable commercial landers will deliver the astronauts to the Moon's surface.
However, for the Artemis 3 mission, instead of making a stop at the Gateway, the astronauts will link directly to a lunar lander.
This depends on all of the parties succeeding in time, but this is the intent at the moment.
On Sept. 30, 2019, NASA issued a solicitation for the development and demonstration of the commercial landers, which will obviously need to be ready by 2024 for the Artemis 3 mission.
On Apr. 30, NASA announced the three selections for the contracts totaling $967 million to SpaceX, Blue Origin and Dynetics.
The complexities of developing the Starship actually weakened SpaceX's proposal in the eyes of NASA.
The agency cited Starship's propulsion system, and it’s rendezvous and fueling operations.
The statement says, These development and operational risks, in the aggregate, threaten the schedule viability of a successful 2024 demonstration mission.
While NASA considers funding Starship risky, it acknowledges its massive potential.
Starship can carry 100 Tons to the Moons surface, which is about the weight of 71 Tesla Roadsters!
That payload capacity would obviously be useful for establishing a sustained human presence on and around the Moon.
The NASA evaluation also gave credit to the Starship's large interior, pointing out how the spacecraft's common room separates the astronaut's living quarters from its two airlocks.
All things considered, NASA awarded SpaceX $135 million in funding, the smallest of the three awards.
But at least they were selected, unlike the Vivace Corp and Boeing that missed the cut.
Blue Origin is actually part of the quote-unquote National Team.
The team consists of Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Draper Labs.
Lockheed Martin is developing the ascent stage of the HLS.
Northrop Grumman is developing the transfer stage for the lander craft.
Draper Labs is developing avionics and descent guidance.
And Blue Origin is developing the descent stage of the HLS called Blue Moon.
Blue Moon has been in development since 2016 and will be able to deliver up to 4.5 metric tons to the lunar surface.
The HLS is designed to be launched on either Blue Origin's New Glenn Rocket or the ULA's Vulcan, which are both slated to be completed in 2021.
Finally, there's Dynetics, a subsidiary of the Defense Contractor Leidos, which can be summed up as like a Lockheed Martin lite?
Dynetics was awarded $253 million and is teaming up with the Sierra Nevada Corporation.
Their lander will be able to accommodate two crew members on lunar surface missions where it can serve as habitation for about a week.
Or it can ferry up to four astronauts to and from the lunar surface.
So, the three companies will have 10 months to work on their landers before NASA decides to awards additional contracts to at least two of the teams.
The Moon's south polar region has become the most popular targeted destinations in the solar system.
The renewed interest in the Moon traces back to ISRO's incredible Chandrayaan-1.
Chandrayaa-1 contained the NASA Mini-SAR experiment that discovered the presence of water in more than 40 craters from just that one experiment.
This discovery revolutionized how we view the Moon, sparking renewed interest in it.
The late Dr. Paul Spudis estimated that there are at least 600 million metric tons of water-ice within polar region craters.
That much water can produce enough rocket fuel to launch the retired Space Shuttle once per day for 2,200 years!
This is because the craters in these regions are permanently darkened with temperatures as low as -248 degrees Celsius, which is colder than the surface of Pluto.
Dr. Spudis was a leading Moon Exploration expert and was a proponent of returning to the Moon and establishing a Moonbase for decades.
Sadly in 2018, he passed away from complications involving lung cancer and will not be able to witness the incredible events to come.
I hope we can honor his legacy in 2024 when we return to the Moon.

What If NASA's Mars Rover Flew On A SpaceX Starship? In this video we talk about how NASA's Perseverance Rover would be launched by SpaceX - in the present with the Falcon rockets and in the future with Starship.
My sincerest apologies go out to any one that clicked on this who has already seen the video. The ONLY difference is that now the music has been lowered by 6 dB across the board and by 9 dB in some places. We re-uploaded the video because the old version had record low viewership numbers and a record high number of complaints, all of which were about the music being too loud. SpaceXs Starship Wont Take Humans To Mars And Heres Why
11:08
Hi Omz here, and welcome to OmzLaw. I’m sure followers of this channel are probably confused by now why I’m making a video about space; bare with me for the next couple of minutes, and for those just joining in, if you enjoyed this video, I doubt based on the topic today, but subscribing to the channel will really help me grow it. Also, feel free to check out all of my other content here.
I’ve probably pissed off some people by now because of the title of the video and the thumbnail, but let me just put out a huge disclaimer before I get massacred by any SpaceX fanboys; I am a huge supporter and follower of SpaceX ever since Elon Musk put out the idea years ago. I have the utmost respect for SpaceX, there isn’t really a live stream that I miss, and most of my Youtube page is filled with SpaceX enthusiasts and Youtubers like myself analyzing and debating every single thing that these people are doing in regards to Starship, Superheavy, Falcon, Dragon, and Starlink.
And this is why I wanna dedicate a section of this channel for Space news and developments. So why am I bashing the Starship? Today we're going to talk about the Gravity problem, and we’re going to explore what solutions SpaceX and other future companies or entities can explore in order to secure humanity’s place amongst the stars.

4:18 The House science committee is not pleased by NASA's choice of Artemis moon lander for NASA crewed moon landing mission in 2024, including a moon variant of SpaceX Starship.
7:13 Another surprising SpaceX news update is that NASA plans to launch the first two modules of NASA Artemis lunar gateway into moon orbit on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
9:55 Tom Cruise might be sent by a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule to the ISS and shoot an action movie on the ISS in collaboration with NASA.
11:07 The newly established US Space Force released an official recruitment trailer.
11:39 The Trump administration is drafting an international agreement for future moon mining: the Artemis Accords. This is a crucial step if we want to establish a self-sustaining moon colony after the first Spacex Starship moon landers acting as temporary mobile moon bases.
12:47 China successfully launched their next-generation space capsule into orbit with a Long March 5B rocket, which is an important step towards their future space station and crewed moon missions.

NASA vs SpaceX: How Do They Compare?
8:45
NASA and SpaceX, two very different companies, have come head to head in recent years, but what does this mean for the future of space travel? And more importantly, are they friends, or foes?
Humans have been roaming planet Earth for millenia, and it’s true to say we’re fairly familiar with our surroundings. Despite this, over 80% of our world’s oceans remain unmapped, unexplored, untouched. This may sound like an astonishing figure, but we know even less about space. Humans know less than 1% of what lies beyond our green planet, less, even, than a fraction of a percentage. Still, two companies come out on top as leading the way for future discoveries: NASA and SpaceX.

SpaceX Starship: 9 NEW Facts You Probably Didn't Know...
SpaceX is devoted to getting a human colony on Mars. The company has begun to build rockets that would be able to transport people from the Earth to Mars, and the flagship rocket intended to do this is the SpaceX starship. The SpaceX starship is designed to be the most powerful super-heavy lift vehicle to ever exist. The starship will deliver much more payload to space for only a fraction of the cost of other similar rockets. Today we're going to share with you 9 facts about SpaceX’s Starship that you probably do not know.
