  • Meet SpaceX’s Engine Architect and Employee #1: Tom Mueller

Tom Mueller was the first employee that Elon Musk hired at SpaceX, and he literally launched them into space with him at the helm of developing the Kestrel, Merlin, Draco, and at the beginning of the Raptor engines. Each of these engines were stepping stones for the growth of SpaceX and the eventual development of the Falcon 9 and Starship.

Working for someone like Elon Musk is obviously not easy. He's probably the most demanding CEO and boss, when it comes to putting in the hours and getting things done. But Elon Musk leads the way, and he probably works harder than anyone else in his companies.
In this video, a senior SpaceX executive and former astronaut, Garrett Reisman explains what is it like to work for Elon Musk. Enjoy!

  • How Does SpaceX Move So Fast?

Since its founding in 2002, SpaceX has achieved numerous milestones in a surprisingly short timeframe. How are SpaceX able to move so fast, and what is it that allows them to design high capability rockets so quickly?

The starship development process is unlike any other, and is mostly happening outside in the view of the public. This gives us a unique glimpse into the workings of SpaceX’s continuous prototyping, something that we normally wouldn’t be able to see.

From the company structure and culture, to the methodologies and technologies they use, SpaceX is built to move fast and it may be their most valuable tool for accelerating the future of space exploration.

  • How SpaceX is shooting for the Moon in 2024?

How SpaceX is shooting for the Moon in 2024?

A small step for man, a giant leap for mankind. With these words that have gone down in history, Neil Armstrong marked a turning point in the history of our species. For the first time, a human being put his foot on a celestial body other than our good old blue planet.

But 50 years later, without the pressure of the space race and the ideological and technological battle with the USSR, humanity seems to have lost its appetite for space exploration and no human being has set foot on the moon for over 50 years.

This is what Elon Musk wants to change through his company SpaceX, which promises to breathe new life into space exploration and make humanity a multi-planetary species.

Hello everyone and welcome to Elonism!

SpaceX is the topic of today's video.

I know that most of the subscribers to the channel are interested in Tesla and electric cars, but I must tell you that the subject of this video is just as exciting!

We'll talk about Elon Musk's dream of space and the crazy challenge that may allow us to set foot on the Moon again, almost 50 years after Neil Armstrong and 48 years after Apollo 17, the last manned lunar mission in 1972. We will also talk about the different steps in the space epic of Man and the next lunar missions.

We will also see the link between NASA and Space X and if Space X will become the new NASA!

    So, are you ready?

    Take off now!

  • How SpaceX Builds Starship Engines So Fast

Elon Musk’s held SpaceX raised around 1.16 billion dollars via equity funding over the last 2 months. SpaceX was founded in 2002, to enable the colonization of Mars in order to reduce space transportation costs. SpaceX manufactures the Falcon Heavy, Falcon 9, Dragon cargo, several rocket engines, Starship launch vehicles, Starlink communications satellites, and crew spacecraft.

SpaceX is now reportedly being valued at 74 billion dollars. Between December 2020 to March 2021, in just 4 months, the company had built 4 starship prototypes SN8, SN9, SN10, and SN11, and launched on high altitude flight tests.

  • SpaceX Begins Filling Starship’s rocket propellant!

SpaceX Begins Filling Starship’s rocket propellant! (SpaceX News!)

Less than a year after tank farm assembly began in South Texas, SpaceX has begun the painstaking process of filling Starship’s first orbital launch site with thousands of tons of rocket propellant. Comprised of seven giant custom-built tanks, the last of which SpaceX installed and ‘sleeved’ in mid-October, Starbase’s first orbital-class tank farm is a bit like the pad’s circulatory system and needs to store, chill, and distribute all the propellant needed for a rocket launch. To support Starship and Super Heavy, both the largest individual rocket stages and the largest integrated rocket ever built, its launch site and tank farm have to be equally immense.

    Subscribe to our channel

Again, some great plans are up aiming for the Moon. Five decades later, the human part of the Earth is setting its goals to the Moon. But this time it is not going to be just a trip. Something unique is up.

The Artemis program is NASA's new mission to colonize the Moon. That is intended to kick off in 2024 and deliver humans to the Moon to inhabit, just as Elon Musk is trying to occupy Mars. and like this SpaceX also became a main part of the project.SpaceX must fly Starship towards the lunar surface without a crew at least once before transferring people, according to the rules of the grant. Although NASA is now conducting a review of the overall Artemis programme, the agency maintains there is still a potential the mission might happen in 2024.

    00:16 Introduction
    02:34 Cargo Dragon Development
    04:56 Cargo Dragon Test Flights
    07:47 Crew Dragon Development
    10:37 Recap/Dragon Comparison
    11:35 Crew Dragon Internal Testing
    13:09 Crew Dragon Demo Missions
    18:36 Conclusion

SpaceX continues innovating today, working towards a fully reusable rocket called Starship - designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Note: The opening sequence of the Starship SN8 hard landing is purely for fun. The Starship program has no relation to any human spaceflight operations conducted by SpaceX using the Dragon capsule.

Who Made Spacex? The Brain Behind SpaceX Rockets

SpaceX was founded by South African immigrant Elon Musk. The company was formed to make
affordable spaceflight a reality. They are now regularly launching satellites with the Falcon 9 rocket,
while the Starship system will take us to the Moon via a NASA contract and eventually Mars.
But who is Elon Musk? Elon Musk is an overachiever. He could have lived on his 1.5 billion dollar profits
from PayPal. Instead, he founded the electric car company Tesla. The Tesla Gigafactory was built to
provide enough high-density batteries for Tesla cars, and it led to Elon Musk’s partnership with
SolarCity. (His cousins own it.) That’s why you can have solar panels on your roof connected to a Tesla
Powerwall. He helped found Neuralink, a company developing brain implants, and OpenAI. All of this
gives him a net worth of more than 160 billion.

  • Meet The Genius Woman Behind SpaceXs Success

Join this channel to get access to perks:

SpaceX's growth is something that has undeniably marveled all of us over years. Is it just the founder and CEO Elon Musk who is the mastermind behind the development of such a venture? Sure the founder has toiled day and night to bring it to where it is, yet we can't move further without mentioning Gwynne Shotwell, the woman behind SpaceX. Who is Gwynne Shotwell? What was the great motto that pushed her to take SpaceX to where it is now?

Let's now take a look at everything you need to know about Gwynne Shotwell, the Woman behind SpaceX.

Elon Musk sure does know how to work out a goal and take a venture to greater heights than most other businessmen would even dream of in their lifetime. Whatever Elon has done so far has left the rest of us stunned--and So is the growth of SpaceX.
However, it’s not just Elon who is toiling hard to work out things for SpaceX and bring out significant innovations-- While Musk has many employees working for him, Gwynne Shotwell, the President and COO of SpaceX, has stood out from the rest. She is the one who manages the operations of SpaceX.

By now, at least some of us might have heard that the company was launched to colonize Mars and transform space travel into a possible concept for the public. Musk himself has expressed that he aspires to inhabit the Martian planet if Earth happens to experience a catastrophe.

SpaceX has over 10,000 employees and has a valuation of $74 billion. Last year, in May, the space exploration company sent astronauts to the International Space Station by signing a contract with NASA. The history that Shotwell shared with SpaceX spanned back to 2002 when she joined the company. Before joining Elon's SpaceX, Shotwell was working at Microcosm as the space systems director. Gwynne's journey of becoming a successful leader and engineer might look like a perfect thread for making an inspirational movie. At present, she is in charge of the company's daily affairs and customer and strategic relations. We might have come across many success stories, but what is unique here is that Shotwell didn't exactly mean to work on the Space exploration sector but by chance landed on it.

There's an exciting yet short backstory that has inspired Shotwell to step forward and pursue her career.

It goes like this… Gwynne was present at the Society of Women Engineers event in 1979 at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Here, she met a female engineer in a sharply dressed suit. The engineer was talking at the event. Shotwell didn't want to attend the event and was a grumpy teenager like most kids her age. The fascination and the excitement she felt when the female mechanical engineer sat on the panel were immense.

Despite everything, the meeting has inspired Shotwell to pursue a career in mechanical engineering; however, she never imagined in her wildest dreams that she would be successful and attain a significant position in the mass-hyped and flourishing commercial space exploration company SpaceX. Most young kids have a specific obsession with the space sector, but Shotwell didn't have such an obsession. Shotwell also says that she didn't watch Star Trek as a kid and didn't have much exposure to the sector as she grew up in Chicago. At the same time, she did have an interest in cars and Initially worked at Chrysler Motors in Detroit. Since Gwynne felt that she was cut out for a more engineer-oriented position, she eventually left.

    All about the Falcon 1

    Compilation of successful landings

    Compilation of landing fails

SpaceX is the most successful private rocket launch company in the world, and it's due in large part to the Falcon 9 rocket.

And the journey to the Falcon 9 began with the Falcon 1 in 2006. The first three launches of the Falcon 1 failed, and with only one more shot before the company went bankrupt, they finally got into orbit on the 4th launch.

Plans for a larger Falcon 1e were scrapped, as well as a Falcon 5, so that they could move forward with the Falcon 9 v1.0.

With this first version of the Falcon 9, SpaceX was able to win a contract to service the ISS through NASA's COTS program by proving that the Dragon capsule was capable of carrying out resupply missions.

SpaceX then focused on reusability and developed the Falcon 9 v1.1, which they used to test landings over open water, at the same time testing vertical take off and landing with their grasshopper vehicle.

But it was the next version, the Falcon 9 Full Thrust, that was the first to land, first on a landing pad at Cape Canaveral, and then on a drone ship.

Incremental improvements lead to the Falcon 9 Block 4 and Block 5 that will launch for the first time this April.

Earlier this year, SpaceX launched the Falcon Heavy, which is 90% reusable, making spaceflight even more sustainable, but the ultimate reusable rocket is the upcoming BFR, which is completely reusable.

This is the ultimate implementation of the SpaceX vision.

  • Voices of America: Rocket Scientist Steve Davis

Boston native Steve Davis is a key member of the SpaceX team that made history earlier this year by becoming the first private company to fly to the International Space Station. The California-based company reached another milestone this month by successfully launching its first cargo supply mission to the orbiting lab on behalf of NASA. After joining SpaceX as its fourteenth employee, Davis moved to Washington, where he became its director of advanced projects and discovered a new passion. The 33-year old rocket scientist-turned entrepreneur shares his story in this profile, produced by Michael Lipin.

Liftoff of the Falcon 9 ... Falcon 9 has cleared the tower.

My name is Steve Davis and I'm an engineer at SpaceX.

I actually started there in 2003 on our first vehicle which was called the Falcon 1.

My personal role at the time was to work on the guidance navigation and control system, which is a fancy way of saying, make sure the rocket goes straight when it takes off.

Imagine balancing a pencil on your finger and kind of going like this.
    That's pretty much what happens.
The rocket is a long pencil and it's going to keep getting hit by wind and other things. You have to make sure that when it gets hit by those, it keeps going the right way.

    Capture is confirmed.

Getting Falcon 9 up into orbit and Dragon to the space station -- that was a complicated mission and we did it the first time, which is an amazing accomplishment.

What I want is for SpaceX and hopefully other companies, to succeed in building a rocket which is fully and rapidly reusable.

The second that happens, the cost really comes down, and when the cost really comes down, you or I could suddenly afford a rocket and possibly get to go into space and enjoy that.

How are you guys doing? Do you guys need any samples or anything today?

We're at Mr. Yogato, my favorite frozen yogurt store in Washington DC. And I am the owner of said store.

A bunch of my friends were involved in starting the store, so we just had brainstorms constantly.

These right here are the original eight rules of Yogato.

The stamp on the forehead is done pretty often.

Here's the trivia - you get it right, you get a discount. [Get it] wrong, the price goes up.

I like to do something new about every six to nine months and a lot of them fail. There's a Mr. Yogato in DC, there's one in Baltimore. I also, with a friend, opened one in Jacksonville, and that went out of business, which is unfortunate. But you know, a lot of businesses do.

And you said strawberries, Mr. Lipin?

SpaceX is what I love in life. And all the other projects are really fun and just make me really happy. But like I said, my primary goal is getting into space and I'll keep working toward that.
