Want a version with out my screaming? You can watch a full version with clean audio and 4K video (what's shown in the top right of the screen) here -

And a slow mo 120 FPS 4K version as well -

On December 9th, 2020, SpaceX conducted a test of their Starship SN8 prototype in Boca Chica, Texas outside of Brownsville. Despite very low expectations, it successfully lifted off, completed 2 planned engine shutdowns and reached its planned apogee of 12.5km.

Then it shut down its engine and belly-flopped back to the landing pad, successfully relit 2 of its engines, and performed a bellyflop to tail-down maneuver, before losing pressure in the fuel header tank, causing it to lose its engines and crash down faster than survivable, although right on target.

This was shot from nearby South Padre Island along with Cosmic Perspective (Ryan Chylinski and Maryliz Bender), Spadre (Gene and Rachel Gore).

Definitely check out Cosmic Perspective's incredible videos from the launch! -

  • SpaceX Starship Boca Chica 2021 01 11 Insiders Perspective 4K

    15:24

An insiders view! We get in close and find previously unseen details of the build process and future gasification infrastructure. Maria was able to visit her old stomping grounds and had a moment of nostalgia from the years before SpaceX. To her, this is like another world far from memories of the nature preserve she and husband Ray made into a home. Even so, Elon's progress has been exciting to witness.

Primarily targeted to the Nerdle community, the video shows rocket parts and storage areas for parts not yet used in various projects throughout the SpaceX complexes.

We hope you enjoy this one. It is very cold here this week. Be warned, the camera does a fair bit of moving as we did not have the luxury of using tripods in these locations.

As always, LIKE and SUBSCRIBE!... And please share to your own networks. Every share and retweet reaches that larger audience.

Thanks for watching. Be safe, be well. Adios until next time.

  • Signs of life on Mars!

Mars and Venus are our closest neighbors in the solar system. If Mars is in a particularly favorable position, it is only 55.6 million kilometers away from us on its elliptical orbit. Then we see it as bright red with the naked eye standing in the night sky. Astronomers observed strange processes on Mars as early as the 17th century. Due to the change in color and Earth-like surface structures, it was soon assumed that life existed on Mars.

USAF Has Finally Released New Video of The B-21 Raider

The bomber, developed and manufactured by Northrop Grumman and assembled in Palmdale, California, has been given a new schedule by the US Air Force.

The plane was originally meant to fly as early as December 2021, according to USAF, but a new schedule means it will not have its first flight until 2022.

the new schedule still implies a factory rollout of the next generation bomber in the second half of 2021.

overall the B-21 Raider is coming along nicely.”

The Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider is expected to enter service sometime within the next ten years. Once it does, it just may be the most advanced military aircraft ever to go into combat.

  • Chinas DESPERATE Attempt to Copy SpaceX & Tesla!

    8:55

    00:12-00:29 - Why SpaceX & Tesla can't get copied?
00:29-04:44 - Elon Musk vs China
04:44-07:33 - How China is trying to Copy Elon Musk
07:33-08:54 - Will China eventually Beat Elon Musk?

    Introduction
Elon Musk and SpaceX have been incredibly successful, so it makes sense there would be those trying to figure out a so-called, “Formula,” to his success so they could achieve it too--China has arguably been trying to do just that!

A Quick Refresher on Musk and SpaceX
Before we go into why someone would want to copy SpaceX and Elon Musk, it should briefly be pointed out why they are successful enough to warrant being copied. First of all, you can’t really talk about SpaceX without discussing Musk as they are so intertwined. Musk founded SpaceX in 2002 with the then-outlandish sounding idea to get humans back into space with reusable rockets, then eventually return us to the Moon before making a trip to Mars and even possibly colonizing the red planet. Now in 2021 with the fact that SpaceX has made incredible strides in rocket technology, it seems a lot more possible we could soon have a base on the moon and even get to Mars in the next decade. SpaceX has been at the forefront of cutting-edge technology with its reusable Superheavy rockets that land themselves after assisting Starships with getting into orbit, launching thousands of satellites into orbit as well for the Worldwide internet idea Starlink, and basically has taken over for NASA in America when it comes to the actual production and launch of rockets. SpaceX and Musk have had incredible success, and other people and countries have taken note. Countries like China.

    A Complicated Relationship
Musk has had an extremely complicated relationship with China. It has at times been incredibly friendly and complimentary and at other points been downright combative. Back in July of 2020 Musk observed that, “China rocks,” and stated America was, “Full of entitlement,” when he described how in his opinion China was full of dedicated and hardworking people compared to how Americans could at times be--in his mind--lazy. Musk has also worked extensively with China when it comes to another of his companies--Tesla. Tesla is known for its creation and manufacturing of electric vehicles and in 2019 Chinese government officials helped Tesla qualify for loans worth around $1.6 billion to construct and begin manufacturing vehicles at the company’s new and no-yet-proven Shanghai factory.

This all makes Musk and China sound like they get along great, but in November of 2020 things became quite rocky when Musk accused a rival Chinese company known as Xpeng of, “Stealing,” source codes for Tesla’s electric vehicles and Apple’s source code for its AR technology, LIDAR. Musk basically felt that Xpeng was trying to steal from Tesla so that it could copy their technology. There was no outright proof of any theft, but Musk having said it happened got many people talking and greatly upset China. with China being a Communist regime, the government is heavily involved in all corporations and production, including a company like Xpeng. In other words, when Musk accused Xpeng of stealing from him and Apple, he essentially accused China itself by proxy.

After Musk’s accusations towards Xpeng things got pretty chilly between him and China. However, as of March 2021, it seems everyone may be warming up to each other again. In a recent interview with China Central Television--which is owned by the Chinese government--Musk said how in the long run the nation would be his, “Biggest market,” for Tesla. Musk stated he saw China becoming the biggest economy in the world over the next 10 years in that interview as well. When he wasn’t doing interviews he spoke with government officials during a trip to China in late March where he addressed everything from helping China reduce its carbon blueprint to assuring the government the cameras on Tesla cars used for actions such as backing-up would never be used for spying or corporate espionage.

Musk seems to be on good terms with China again as he is not only getting along with the Chinese government but is a major celebrity among Chinese citizens too! He has around 1.7 million followers on Weibo, a major Chinese social media platform, and it often talked about by Chinese citizens as an iconic and impressive figure. Both citizens and government officials have said Musk deserves a residential green card and be offered citizenship in China due to all he has done for the country. Clearly from the great times and moments of animosity it is clear Musk’s relationship with China is complicated! It isn’t a one-sided relationship, however, as China has arguably been wanting to learn from the success of Musk and SpaceX, with some even saying the country wants to copy him!

  • Starship | SN10 | High-Altitude Flight Test

    14:47

On Wednesday, March 3, Starship serial number (SN10) successfully completed SpaceX’s third high-altitude flight test of a Starship prototype from our site in Cameron County, Texas.

Similar to the high-altitude flight tests of Starship SN8 and SN9, SN10 was powered through ascent by three Raptor engines, each shutting down in sequence prior to the vehicle reaching apogee – approximately 10 km in altitude. SN10 performed a propellant transition to the internal header tanks, which hold landing propellant, before reorienting itself for reentry and a controlled aerodynamic descent.

The Starship prototype descended under active aerodynamic control, accomplished by independent movement of two forward and two aft flaps on the vehicle. All four flaps were actuated by an onboard flight computer to control Starship’s attitude during flight and enabled a precise landing at the intended location. SN10’s Raptor engines reignited as the vehicle performed the landing flip maneuver immediately before successfully touching down on the landing pad!

As if the flight test was not exciting enough, SN10 experienced a rapid unscheduled disassembly shortly after landing. These test flights are all about improving our understanding and development of a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo on long-duration interplanetary flights, and help humanity return to the Moon, and travel to Mars and beyond.

The FAA is very satisfied, SN10 will be flying this week#STARSHIPFANS
SN10 update, Good chance of flying this week! The FAA is no longer concerned with SN9 and SN8.

Hi, Billy here, Welcome to the next episode of 2021.
We have 3 main issues as follows:
    1. SN10 UPDATE, GOOD CHANCE OF FLYING THIS WEEK!
    2. THE FAA IS NO LONGER CONCERNED WITH SN9 AND SN8.
    3. SPACEX STARSHIP LAUNCH: WILL STARSHIP SN10 LAUNCH THIS WEEK?
After a miserable week of extreme cold, power grid failures, high winds, and general chaos, conditions are improving, the sun is shining, and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk believes there’s a “good chance” that Starship serial number 10 (SN10) could launch “this week!”
The FAA is very satisfied, SN10 will be flying this week
The third full-scale, full-height Starship completed by SpaceX since Starship SN8 rolled from factory to launch pad in October 2020, Starship SN10 is the second to last in a series of four similar prototypes built for the sole purpose of proving out an unprecedented method of landing rockets. On its December 8th debut, Starship SN8 – the first prototype to launch with a nose, flaps, three Raptor engines, and a high-altitude apogee target – made it far closer to total success than almost anyone expected.

    LIVE | SpaceX Falcon9 Launch & Landing | Starlink-17 60 Satellites Mission

As early as Wednesday, March 3, the SpaceX team will attempt a high-altitude flight test of Starship serial number 10 (SN10) – our third high-altitude suborbital flight test of a Starship prototype from SpaceX’s site in Cameron County, Texas. Similar to the high-altitude flight tests of Starship SN8 and SN9, SN10 will be powered through ascent by three Raptor engines, each shutting down in sequence prior to the vehicle reaching apogee – approximately 10 km in altitude. SN10 will perform a propellant transition to the internal header tanks, which hold landing propellant, before reorienting itself for reentry and a controlled aerodynamic descent.

The Starship prototype will descend under active aerodynamic control, accomplished by independent movement of two forward and two aft flaps on the vehicle. All four flaps are actuated by an onboard flight computer to control Starship’s attitude during flight and enable precise landing at the intended location. SN10’s Raptor engines will then reignite as the vehicle attempts a landing flip maneuver immediately before touching down on the landing pad adjacent to the launch mount.

A controlled aerodynamic descent with body flaps and vertical landing capability, combined with in-space refilling, are critical to landing Starship at destinations across the solar system where prepared surfaces or runways do not exist, and returning to Earth. This capability will enable a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo on long-duration, interplanetary flights and help humanity return to the Moon, and travel to Mars and beyond.

There will be a live feed of the flight test available here that will start a few minutes prior to liftoff. Given the dynamic schedule of development testing, stay tuned to our social media channels for updates as we move toward SpaceX’s third high-altitude flight test of Starship!

Elon Musk Is Testing His New Starship That Will Reach Mars

Science and technology have always been one of the shining advancements of humanity. From Sir Issac Newton to Albert Einstein, humans have been able to take the limits of our imagination to levels that no one ever thought possible. In those times, would would have thought that nowadays we would be flying hundreds of people at a time around the world in commercial jets, or harnessing nuclear reactions to power our homes? There is no doubt that the great minds before us would be stunned at how far we have come.

Up until recently, traveling into space has only been accomplished by governments like the United States, Russia, and China. However, entrepreneur and innovator Elon Musk has stepped into the game and revolutionized the space industry. He was originally the co-founder of the electronic-payment firm PayPal and also the founder of the electric car company, Tesla. Now, with visions of taking humans farther into space than ever before, he has founded the company SpaceX which specializes in designing, building, and launching reusable rockets bound for space.

Elon Musk explained on Twitter the cause of the explosion: SN10 engine was low on thrust due to partial helium ingestion from the fuel header tank. Impact of 10m/s crushed legs and part of the skirt. Multiple fixes in work for SN11.
According to the Cnet, the website says:
On March 3, SpaceX finally appeared to make a soft landing of the latest prototype for its next-generation Mars rocket. But several minutes later, SN10, as the third prototype to make a high-altitude test flight was known, made an unscheduled second flight after it exploded on the landing pad.
Elon Musk explained on Tuesday that the landing was actually a bit more crunchy than soft.

  • SpaceX Starship SN9 EXPLODES! Watch it here

    7:41

Elon Musk's rocket company, SpaceX tries another high-altitude test flight, this time for its SN9 rocket. The second flight of a prototype of Elon Musk's next-generation Starship rocket meant for eventual trips to Mars was picture-perfect right up until the landing, which again ended in a fiery explosion. Watch a recap here.

  • SpaceX Starship SN10 Lands Successfully and Explodes after 5 Mins

    2:20

SpaceX Starship SN10 Lands Successfully and Explodes after 5 Mins. SpaceX’s latest Starship prototype landed on Wednesday for the first time after carrying out a high-altitude test flight in Texas — but exploded minutes later on its landing pad. The rocket, an early test version called SN10, demonstrated a few complex dances in mid-air before clinching a soft touch down, aiming to nail a key milestone in Elon Musk’s campaign to build a fully reusable rocket system. After aborting an initial launch attempt earlier in the day, the prototype lifted off at 6:14pm ET and soared 6 miles above SpaceX’s Boca Chica, Texas facilities. Unlike the last two tests with SN8 and SN9, which launched successfully but exploded on their landing attempts, SN10 stuck a lopsided landing on a slab of concrete not far from its launchpad, appearing to survive its daring landing manoeuvre for a few moments before being consumed in a fireball.

The launch test’s main objective was to demonstrate the computer-controlled movements of the rocket’s four aerodynamic flaps that steer its descent before landing, SpaceX engineer and live stream host John Insprucker said during the company’s broadcast.

At the end of its climb to 6.2 miles, each of the rocket’s three Raptor engines gradually shut down to prepare for a brief free-fall back to land, reorienting itself horizontally with its “belly” facing the ground.

Then came the “belly flop” manoeuvre. The rocket’s three engines reignited to swoop itself into a vertical position for landing.

SN10 slowly descended on its landing pad, softly touching down but leaning slightly to the side. Insprucker declared it a success on SpaceX’s live feed: “Third time’s a charm, as the saying goes. We’ve had a successful soft touchdown on the landing pad.”

“As a reminder, the key point of today’s test flight was to gather the data on controlling the vehicle while reentering, and we were successful in doing so,” he said.

The SpaceX live feed ended before SN10’s explosive demise. Another feed, provided by the website NASA Spaceflight, kept the cameras rolling and captured the fireball, which lofted the 16-story-tall rocket back into the air before crashing back down on its side.

Musk tweeted at 7:35PM ET to celebrate that SN10 landed “in one piece,” but jokingly noted two minutes after that the rocket had an “honourable discharge.”

Starship is SpaceX’s next-generation, fully reusable Mars rocket system designed to ferry crews of astronauts and 100 tons of cargo on future missions to Earth orbit, the moon and eventually Mars. The last three prototypes SpaceX has test-launched are early versions of the top half of the full Starship system, whose bottom half is a reusable super-heavy booster powered by an array of SpaceX’s new Raptor rocket engines.

BOCA CHICA, Tx. – As the saying goes, “the third time is the charm,” and that much was true for SpaceX as the company sent another interplanetary spaceship prototype flying high above the Texas coast Wednesday but this time it survived the landing attempt only to explode minutes after a successful landing.

Elon Musk’s company is churning out Starship test vehicles in Boca Chica, Texas at the company’s facility and most recently began testing the launch and landing capabilities in daring flights.

After two previous high-altitude flights of Starship prototypes ended in fiery explosions, it was Serial No. 10, or SN10, up on the chopping block.

SN10 took off at about 6:14 p.m. ET powered by three Raptor engines, reaching about 6 miles up. Next, each engine shut down one by one as the vehicle slowly began to orient itself horizontally for the descent. Then Starship began its descent in a belly flop using its four wings or flips, to control itself. The drop looks straight out of science-fiction even after the third time seeing it.

These high-altitude flights and now landings are part of the plan to test SpaceX’s interplanetary transportation system.
