  • BIG CATS - Life on the Savannah - HD

    49:00

The vast east African savannah is the only place in the world where big cats -- lions, leopards and cheetahs -- can be seen in a single location.
The abundant source of food is the reason why these cats, which reign at the top of the food chain, can survive. The endless grassland gives them life. This is the story of the animals on the savannah, the more than one hundred species of herbivores such as gazelles and buffalos, and the big cats standing at the top of the ecosystem.

  • Lion VS Tiger - Who will win in a fight ?

    4:55

    ???? PREVIOUS VIDEO :
???? Check out more awesome videos :

Lions and tigers are among the most ferocious animals but there are important differences between them.
They are both among the five big cats and are apex predators —
i.e., they have no predators of their own and reside at the top of their food chain.
but just who are the titans of wilderness, which is the strongest, and which of them reigns supreme.
We thought it would be fun to take a closer look at the two kings of
animal kingdom and see how they stack up next to one another.
Lions typically inhabit savanna and grassland, although they may take to bush and forest.
Lions are unusually social compared to other cats.
The male lion is highly distinctive and is easily recognized by its mane.
Native to the mainland of Asia, the tiger is the largest feline species in the world.
The Bengal Tiger is the most common subspecies of tiger,
constituting approximately 80% of the entire tiger population.

  • 15 Terrifying Animals That Live In Volcanoes

    17:39

Spewing boiling lava for miles and reaching temperatures of 1,170 degrees Celsius, volcanoes are one of the most destructive natural forces on earth. With temperatures reaching such unfathomable levels, and a track record of absolute devastation, it's important to remember that the world wouldn't be what it is today without them. Volcanoes add nutrients into soil that help local species thrive, and create entire land masses that are modern day nations. Needless to say, volcanoes aren't exactly a place where you'd want to live but today, we are going to take a look at 15 terrifying animals that live in volcanoes.

    Pyrococcus Furiousus

Pyrococcus Furiousus, might sound like a Harry Potter spell, but it’s actually a shockingly complex single-celled organism, in fact it’s one of the only organisms on earth to naturally contain tungsten. But perhaps it isn’t what’s inside this remarkable creature that is such a shock, but rather the fact that it is most at home in the heart of simmering underwater volcanoes with temperatures as high as 212 degrees Fahrenheit.

This ability to withstand phenomenal heat, coupled with its unique appearance earned it the name Pyrococcus, which is Greek for Fireball. Even though it is named in an ancient language, Pyrococcus, wasn’t actually discovered until 1986, and since then scientists have been trying to learn everything, they can about it. Scientists hope that by better understanding what makes Pyrococcus tick, that they can use the information to create more heat resistant plants, and compounds for industrial manufacturing. Another particularly resilient quality about Pyrococcus is that it is anaerobic, meaning that it grows successfully in the absence of oxygen.

    The Hawaiian Happy Face Spider

The Hawaiian Happy Face Spider lives where few other creatures can. Due to the nutrient rich soil, some plant life does spring up around active volcanoes, these plants provide the home of the happy face spider. Many creatures will come near volcanoes in search of food or water and unfortunately many will perish, oftentimes asphyxiated by the noxious gases being released. When these fatalities occur maggots and eventually flies will make their way to the corpse for a quick meal, however, perched on the underside of nearby leaves you can find the resilient happy face spider, who lives...happily...in this death scape.

Eventually flies will make the ill-fated choice to land on the leaf and this is when the happy face spider attacks! If you hadn’t guessed this spider gets its cheerful name from the markings on its back which are often thought to resemble a smiley face, but despite this seemingly sunny disposition and their unique housing choices the happy face spider is not without natural enemies and its eggs often fall victim to attacks by wasps who lay parasitic eggs inside the spider’s egg. Between living in a naturally hostile environment and being subject to wasp attacks, this volcano dwelling spider doesn’t exactly have it easy.

  • White Shark Tourism | Blue Realm | Free Documentary Nature

    44:29

Blue Realm - Episode 13: White Shark Tourism
Believe it or not, many scuba divers want to see great whites up close, and photographers want dramatic shots. But how do you get the sharks to where you want them? For decades, it's been done by baiting, or “chumming” – attracting sharks with food. This practice is being questioned and banned in many countries because of a dramatic increase in shark attacks.
In April 2012, a champion South African surfer was killed by a great white and shark tourism operators and documentary filmmakers were blamed. They were chumming in the area at the time of the attack. In Western Australia, 5 deaths are attributed to white sharks in just the first 6 months of 2012. Three surfers have also been killed by the sharks recently in California - more deadly attacks in a year than in the past dozen years combined. And the sharks have even been spotted as far north as Canada and a swimmer was attacked in Massachusetts. What's going on?
