    In millennia past, people have progressively figured out more effective ways of getting from one place to another. Previously, long distances could only be traversed by horseback or even on foot, but today we have at our disposal a variety of modes of transportation, including cars, planes, trains, and even futuristic ships.
    So, while we've already made progress in developing faster and more efficient forms of transportation on Earth, the question now is how manned space flight will evolve in this regard. As is well known, a space probe launched from Earth takes many months, if not years, to reach its galactic target. It's hard to say what the future holds for this venture.
    A fascinating question arises when we follow the thought experiment of breaking ever new cosmic speed records to its logical conclusion: Will there ever be light-speed ships? In today's video, we will quickly take a closer look at this fascinating issue with you.

    Light travels quickly because it has a short path to travel. According to cosmological laws, nothing can move faster than light. In reality, it is the fastest object on the planet. There is no limit to the distance that light may travel; it travels at a speed of 186,000 miles per second. In the blink of an eye, light may travel from Los Angeles to New York City. Faster than any commercial airliner by more than 10,000 orders of magnitude.
    Proxima Centauri is the nearest star to Earth. It's 4.25 light-years away, or 25 trillion miles away (40 trillion km). The Parker Solar Probe, which is already in orbit, will achieve a top speed of 450,000 mph, making it the fastest spacecraft ever. At such speed, it would take just 20 seconds to travel from Los Angeles to New York City, yet the solar probe would take 6,633 years to reach Earth's nearest neighboring solar system.
    Everything in our Universe is bound by a few simple rules. The conservation of energy, momentum, and angular momentum is guaranteed anytime two quanta come into contact with each other. There are no differences between the physics of a forward-moving system of particles and its mirrored antiparticle counterpart when time is reversed in a mirror. Nothing can ever travel faster than the speed of light, and nothing with mass will ever be able to achieve this coveted feat.
    Many people have come up with innovative ways to get around this final restriction. In theory, tachyons have been introduced as hypothetical particles that could theoretically exceed the speed of light, but tachyons must have imaginary masses and do not exist in the real world. Although a sufficiently twisted space in General Relativity could produce other, shorter paths for light, there are no known wormholes in our physical universe. While quantum entanglement can produce suspicious behavior at a distance, no information can be transported faster than light.
    People will have to go faster than the speed of light if they ever hope to travel effortlessly between stars. However, until now, faster-than-light travel has only existed in science fiction.
    In Isaac Asimov's Foundation series, humans can use jump drives to travel between planets, stars, and even the entire cosmos. Interstellar astronauts and Thor heroes exploit wormholes to travel across solar systems in just a few seconds.
    Warp drive technology is another option that Star Trek fans are familiar with. Theoretically, warp drives are conceivable, but a long way off. One of the many obstacles separating warp drive theory from reality was reported to have been surmounted in two recent studies published in March 2021.
    However, how do these speculative warp drives actually operate in reality? As for the future of humankind, will they be able to travel at warp speed?
    Albert Einstein's General Relativity theory is the foundation of modern physics' knowledge of spacetime. According to General Relativity, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light in the universe. Mass and energy can also cause spacetime to distort around massive objects, such as stars and black holes. Many space heroes are afraid of falling into or getting stuck in a gravity well because of this curvature. John Campbell and Isaac Asimov, among the first science fiction writers, regarded warping as a technique to get around the speed limit.
    Wouldn't it be cool if a spaceship could shrink the volume of space around it while simultaneously growing the volume behind it? The warp drive from Star Trek is based on this concept.
    Mexican theoretical physicist Miguel Alcubierre demonstrated in 1994 that compressing spacetime in front of the spacecraft while expanding it behind was mathematically achievable under the laws of General Relativity.

    Light travels at a speed of 186,000 miles per second (300,000 kilometers per second), and it takes just over a second to travel from the Earth to the Moon. In the blink of an eye, light may travel from Los Angeles to New York.
    While 1% of anything may not seem like much, when it comes to light, that's still a lot of speed – close to 7 million miles per hour! It would take a little over a second to go from Los Angeles to New York at 1% the speed of light. This is tens of thousands of times faster than a typical commercial jet.
    If we take in contrast some other speedy things then the bullets may travel at more than three times the speed of sound, at 2,600 miles per hour. With a peak speed of 7,000 mph, NASA's X3 jet plane is the fastest aircraft on the planet. Although this is great, it is still only 0.001% of the speed of light.
    It's not that we can’t go faster. Spacecraft are the fastest human-made objects. They employ rockets to break free from the gravity of the Earth, which requires a speed of 25,000 mph. NASA's Parker Solar Probe is the spacecraft that is going the quickest. After launching from Earth in 2018, it skimmed the Sun's searing atmosphere and accelerated to 330,000 mph using the Sun's gravity. That's incredible speed, yet it's only 0.05 percent the speed of light.
    Science has progressed a lot. And now it seems like it’s possible to get something to 1 percent the speed of light. This would require a lot of energy but the question is, can we really do this?
    Remember the USS Enterprise, which is propelled by a warp drive in the sci-fi franchise Star Trek, zips back and forth across the universe. Well, scientists have got an idea following the sci-fi. Wrap drive, unfortunately for space travel lovers, appears to contradict Einstein's equations, which normally restrict faster-than-light travel. With the hypothetical addition of exotic matter, however, this science fiction creation really fits inside the boundaries of Einstein's general relativity theory, which defines gravity and the bending of space-time by matter. As a result, scientists have been calculating and discussing whether such a device could be manufactured and utilized to travel to the stars, with no conclusive results.

  • Faster Than Light Speed Travel With Neil deGrasse Tyson


    Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson explains the possibility of going faster than the speed of light. If we look at the Einstein's special relativity theory, the speed of light in vacuum has constant velocity of 186,282 miles per second. If you could travel at this speed, you could go around the Earth 7.5 times in one second.

    In 1994, Miguel Alcubierre proposed a method that would take us beyond the speed of light limit. In his mathematical theory, he used two points in space-time to demonstrate the expansion and contraction of space fabric. The idea of Alcubierre's theory was that we could use this space-time warp to make an object travel faster than light.

    Neil deGrasse Tyson takes examples from science fiction works like Star Trek to demonstrate and explain how an advanced civilization could be capable of manipulating the fabric of space-time itself in order to travel faster than the speed of light.

    Einstein's theory of special relativity states that energy and mass are interchangeable, and speed of light travel is impossible for material objects that, unlike photons, have a non-zero rest mass.

    Einstein's theory of general relativity mathematically predicts the existence of wormholes, but none have been discovered to date. Even if a wormhole could form, it would most likely be very unstable. Wormholes are still speculative because nobody really knows if you could pass through it. The math suggests that you need some sort of exotic material to pry the throat of the wormhole opening so that it wont collapse in on it self. Even then it is possibly unstable.

    verge of creating a near-light-speed engine that defies physics laws, a
    concept for an engine that can accelerate to 99 percent the speed of light
    without using any fuel. That might sound like something out of a science
    fiction film, but it is not. One of NASA's engineers is working on something
    similar, and it has the potential to defy physics.
    What are the plans for these engines? What will it use as fuel if it can't use
    propellant? Will a human be able to travel in a vehicle with a thruster like
    this? Is the possibility for fast space travel already here? These are the
    questions going through most people's minds at the moment. So, in today's
    video, we'll find out the answers to these questions and more. So ensure that

    Humanity has dreamed of crossing the astronomical distances separating us
    from the ultimate alien destinations for centuries, ever since we realized that
    every star we see in the night sky is a Sun just like ours, with possibly its
    solar system, planets, and maybe even life.
    Even the closest star is more than four light-years away, while NASA's Juno
    mission achieved the fastest speed a human-built spacecraft has ever
    traveled at, that is at 74 km/sec (46 mi/sec). Even at that rate, reaching the
    nearest star would take more than 4,000 years.
    We have a problem with our human drive to travel everywhere and examine
    everything in space. This is a significant problem. After all, it is space. It's
    way too big. Even if we traveled at the fastest possible speed, it would take
    us years to reach our nearest star.
    Elon Musk's private spaceflight business SpaceX was founded with the idea
    of making life multi-planetary. He claims that relocating humans to other
    worlds, such as Mars, could save humanity in the event of a calamity on
    Earth, such as a massive asteroid hit.
    In 2016, Elon Musk said that there would be two paths for history to take.
    One option is that we stay on Earth indefinitely, with an ultimate extinction
    event. The alternative is to become a spacefaring civilization, and a multi-
    planet species, which he hopes we would agree is the right way to go.
    The SpaceX founder has frequently expressed his desire to develop
    settlements on Mars. Payments, he says, would require a significant number
    of people to become self-sustaining.
    To make this fantasy a reality, a capable automobile is needed. Still, the
    current limits of our technology and physics laws are the two limiting factors
    of space travel. Advances in fields such as laser sails, nuclear rather than
    chemical propulsion, or producing and controlling antimatter or dark matter
    could provide a game-changing technological breakthrough, and they appear
    to be close.
    Another human desire is to find solutions to significant problems. NASA
    engineer David Burns has been doing precisely that in his spare time. He
    claims to have built an engine that can accelerate to 99 percent the speed of
    light without fuel.
    He has posted it to NASA's Technical Reports Server under the name Helical
    Engine, It works on paper by exploiting how mass may change at relativistic
    speeds, which are close to the speed of light in a vacuum. It hasn't been
    professionally reviewed yet.
    This story has created curiosity comparable to that seen in the early days of
    the EM Drive, which is understandable. Yes, there have been reports that the
    engine may 'defy physics.'
    To put things in perspective, the EM Drive was NASA's initial step into the
    idea of really trying to develop a faster-than-light engine. So, what exactly is
    the EM Drive?
    EM Drive is a radio frequency resonant cavity thruster concept first
    developed in 2001 by Roger Shawyer, a British Chartered Electrical Engineer
    with 48 years of experience in the Space and Defence industries.
    Internally reflected microwaves are said to generate thrust, violating the law
    of conservation of momentum and other fundamental considerations. The
    device has been dubbed the Impossible Drive by the media.
    Explanations for how the EmDrive might work go beyond what is known
    about physics. Perhaps it's interacting with the vacuum energy of space-
    quantum time, even though space-quantum time doesn't allow anything to
    push off of it.

    Elon Musk and NASA have something in common; the billionaire and the iconic space
    agency want to take people to places in deep space! While the two have different
    reasons for the desire, they both face the same limitation of distance, which makes it
    challenging to build capable spacecraft. To overcome this limitation of having enough
    fuel for space travel, NASA and Musk's company, SpaceX, have revealed a
    revolutionary method of propulsion that keeps rockets going forever and ever into deep
    space! What is this propulsion, how does it work, and how does it affect you? Join us to

    If you are a sci-fi fan, you would have seen space movies where the rocket keeps going
    and going! While much of the film is focused on the conflicts between the characters,
    nothing is usually said about how the rocket is powered! But of course, that is the
    creative freedom movie makers enjoy that allows them to make hit movies that entertain
    us! However, people that actually send rockets to space will tell you it is not always a
    bed of roses out there!
    One sci-fi fan is Musk, the CEO of space exploration company SpaceX. The billionaire
    has the rare privilege of living out his space dreams, unlike the rest of us. That's why
    you will see terms lifted from sci-fi in some of the real life products that he builds. One
    example is the Mechazilla that he says will grab rocket boosters mid-air! However
    audacious the scheme is, even Musk himself admitted it could fail spectacularly, the
    illustrious inventor actually derived the name from the Mechagodzilla, a character from
    the popular Godzilla film franchise!
    Musk, too, wants to cruise people through space, a goal he shares with NASA!
    However, the motivations for the two are different! Musk intends to prepare humanity to
    escape possible catastrophic galactic accidents that could wipe out humanity entirely
    from the Earth! While you might cringe at the possibility and would rather not consider it,
    Musk is a practical man and wants to preserve as much slice of humanity as possible in
    the face of such disasters!
    This is why Musk wants to set up a human outpost on other plants! The motivation is
    strong enough that Musk is building what will be the most powerful rocket in history
    when it is ready! Musk plans to transport at least one million people from Earth to planet
    Mars within a short time so that the community can become self sufficient! Far removed
    from Earth, the new colony will not be affected by any disaster people that refuse to
    leave will face!
    NASA wants to send people to Mars, too, although on a far smaller scale! The agency
    plans to send its astronauts to the Red Planet eventually. Different probes have
    explored the planet, expanding our knowledge of the planet with high-resolution pictures
    of diverse landscapes on Mars. NASA's rovers have been joined by a similar explorer
    by China and might welcome Saudi Arabia's effort too! However, nothing beats having
    boots on the ground, as NASA has done on the moon! In fact, NASA is working with
    SpaceX to resume regular missions to the moon and build bases there. Interestingly,
    NASA has admitted the missions to the moon will be a dress rehearsal for missions to
    Mars! The agency will take any lessons learned on the moon and apply them to Mars!
    The purpose is to hopefully find the purpose and origin of life, starting with trying to
    determine if there is life on Mars.
    Both NASA and SpaceX are banking on the Starship to take their humans to Mars, with
    what is essentially a trial run taking place when NASA uses the Starship to put its
    astronauts on the moon. However, the two entities have their eyes set on other planets
    and planetary bodies that are beyond Mars. NASA wants to send missions to Jupiter
    and its moons!
    However, one problem both NASA and SpaceX have to solve is distance! Anywhere
    you are going to in space is far! The universe exists on such a large scale that moving
    from one planet to another involves millions of miles. For example, the trip to Mars that
    Musk is planning can take up to six months when it takes advantage of the best launch
    Better still, the closest star to Earth is Proxima Centauri. It is about 4.25 light-years
    away, or about 25 trillion miles or 40 trillion km! The fastest ever spacecraft, the now-in-
    space Parker Solar Probe, will reach a top speed of 450,000 mph. It would take just 20

    That Einstein guy was a real bummer for our hopes of a star-hopping, science-fiction-y future. His whole “nothing travels faster than light” rule seems to ensure that exploration of even the local part of our galaxy will be an excruciating slow. But Einstein also gave us a glimmer of hope. He showed us that space and time can be warped - and so the warp drive was conceived. Just recently, a couple of papers contend that these are not pure science fiction.

    What would happen if the Andromeda Galaxy collided with the Milky Way Galaxy? In 4.5 billion years, our entire Milky Way galaxy will experience an incredible incident. The Andromeda galaxy will hit us at great speed. As a result of the collision, some stars will be thrown into distant space, while others will form new solar systems. But most likely, all life in the new Milkomeda or Milkdromeda galaxy will cease to exist. But let's look to the future and find out what will happen to us people.

    Well, humanity decided it was time to leave the Earth, and now we live very far away in another galaxy. There can be an infinite number of planets in the Universe on which humans can theoretically live. One of the main requirements — the planet must orbit the star in its habitable zone. We find similar star systems almost every year, and have recently found the nearest one. It’s Proxima Centauri. There are at least two planets around this red dwarf on which we can build our new home. But the problem is that this system is as far as 4.2 light-years away...

In 1994 he wrote a paper on how we could bend and warp space and time to travel faster than light within the rules of Einstein's general relativity. NASA has and is currently exploring if it is possible to bend the fabric of space and achieve hyper fast space travel with the Eagle Works lab. John Michael Godier spoke with Dr. Miguel Alcubierre on the feasibility of the Alcubierre warp drive and if there has been any developments within physics, including the use of dark matter or dark energy, and anti-gravity, to be able to make this possible.

    The James Webb telescope has been conceptualized for more than a decade. Its fans would be happy to hear that it has finally been launched into the dark abyss known as space. It was launched last christmas, and it began its deployment immediately after it entered space. We hope that this telescope would allow us to know a lot more about both our existence, and the possibility of external life outside us.

    Since the launch of this $10 billion telescope, its fans have asked nonstop about its progress, and if it really will do what it was set out to do. Join us as we explore all the possibilities of this telescope and give some insight on how this telescope will finally make terrifying new discoveries.

    If you’re interested in space travel, you should know that there are a lot of limitations to this particular concept, one of which is the ability to view planets and stars past our solar system. It was even a challenge to view events occurring past mars due to the absence of light. Astronomers, engineers, and astronauts have dreamed of being able to see past our solar system. Now, the James Webb telescope is capable of making it possible.

    For those who don't know, the James Webb telescope was designed to the largest telescope ever created. It got launched on December 25th last year from the ESA space site at Koolu via an Arianespace Ariane 5 Rocket. If this telescope performs its purpose, it would allow us to be able to take a look at the events of the big bang. Imagine seeing how the events occurred during the big bang which happened as far back as 200 million years ago.

    We would be able to view the first galaxies that were born out of the big bang, and also look at any new planets or stars developing. This would be a phenomenal achievement, and would be such good news for science.

    Its journey spans over a million miles to a gravitationally stable point in space. Arriving at that point in space would keep it from leaving the solar system, and will keep it stable enough to take a look at several galaxies. The telescope would then land on a second gravitationally stable point, L2. L2 is a position in space that is in close proximity and alignment with earth and is directly opposite the sun. At this point, it will be able to orbit the sun even more closely.

    Interestingly, other telescopes have used this particular area at several points in time and have captured mind-blowing information. If it gets to this point perfectly, it would use the gravitational stability of that point as well as minimum fuel to stay in perfect alignment with the sun, moon, and the earth.
    Its successful launch from the earth took about 31 minutes, and scientists, engineers, and fans from all over the world cheered all the way through. We know you might be wondering how its going to survive the full force of the sun. The telescope’s designers understood this, and built a 5-layer, 70-foot long sun shield. It keeps the equipment of the telescope cool and prevents the telescope itself from getting destroyed due to the heat from the sun.

    This sun shield has been checked and given the okay by multiple engineers and scientists from around the world due to its ability to protect itself from temperatures of up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. If you’re watching the video, you would probably notice that the telescope is way bigger than a rocket can fit. Because of that, it was designed in such a way that it can be folded up and safely transported in a rocket. According to NASA, opening it up has been one of the most sophisticated processes they have undergone. What’s more is that the process isn’t over yet, as they have said they still have some work to do.

    What’s Next?

    Although this telescope has not arrived at its destination yet, it is expected to arrive by January 23rd. The deputy project manager at NASA’s space flight centre said in a conference that between the start of January and the 23rd, the team would spend its time aligning the 18 mirror segments in order to successfully form one giant mirror.
    Beryllium was used to produce these mirrors because it is a lightweight metal, and it is fairly resistant to the sun’s rays.
    After it has been fully unfolded and assembled, its different compartments will be turned on. The engineers believe that this will happen between 7-14 days.

    The distance from the sun ensures that enough darkness is gotten for the heat seeking infra-red studies to be performed. These infra-red telescopes would allow the telescope to view distant galaxies, stars, and planets.

    This telescope will be the most powerful telescope ever created, and it has already started breaking records. It surpasses the capabilities of the hubble space telescope, among many others.

  • This Star Explosion Will Be Seen In The Sky 2022!


    Stars are always up there when we look at the sky in the night. However, even though they look permanent, stars do not live forever. But what happens when they die? Stars explode, creating a spectacular event that is awe-inspiring! Imagine a star as big as the sun exploding! This phenomenon is called a supernova. However, as grand as they are, they do not occur frequently. But then, how powerful are supernovas, and what types of supernova are they? And more importantly, can the Earth be destroyed by a supernova one day? Join us as we explore the fascinating star explosions that light up the sky!
    There is nova, and there is supernova. A nova is the temporary flaring up of a dwarf star in a binary system. In the nova scenario, the dwarf star collects matter from its companion star. The excess mass causes the dwarf star to flare up suddenly, every now and then, to many times its average brightness. Then it fades over months to its original luster before the next flare-up.
    A supernova, however, means the end of the road for a star! A supernova is a much bigger and intrinsically much brighter event where the outer layers of a star are blown explosively into space! A star that goes supernova does not return to its previous brightness and may disappear completely, leaving an expanding supernova remnant behind!
    The first recorded case of a supernova was observed by the Chinese recorded in the year 1054 CE. However, the supernova had occurred 6,523 years earlier because this star was that many light-years away. They called it a guest star and wrote that it was visible in daylight for a full three weeks, finally fading entirely from view about three months later.
    However, we do see supernova remnants, expanding clouds in space where stars used to be! There are many examples of these clouds, both inside and outside our galaxy. The most famous supernova remnant visible from the Northern Hemisphere is the Crab Nebula. It’s located in the direction of the constellation Taurus the Bull.
    The Crab Nebula is famous for containing the first known pulsar, discovered in 1967 by Jocelyn Bell Burnell. As it is known, the Crab pulsar is a neutron star or the remnant of the supernova that created the Crab Nebula. Like cosmic lighthouses, pulsars give off beams of radio waves as they spin!
    Now, not all supernovas are the same! We can classify them based on how they explode, and we have the Type II and Type IA supernovas. Let’s start with the most popular one, the Type II supernova!
    Type II happens when a star explodes due to old age. This supernova occurs when a giant star runs out of fuel, which brings it into a rapid collapse and explosion. Such a star is between eight and 40 times heavier than our sun! They are often referred to as core-collapse supernovae because that’s precisely what happens. The star’s core suddenly, like in just a few seconds, collapses in on itself!
    To understand this phenomenon, here is how stars work. For billions of years during this star’s lifetime, nuclear fusion, the process by which hydrogen is converted into helium in the star’s interior. This process liberates enormous amounts of energy, thus enabling the star to shine.
    However, the star fights an internal battle with gravity. This gravity is self-induced, but the star remains stable when an inexorable inward-pushing force of gravity is continually countering the outward-pushing radiation from fusion reactions in the star’s core.
    But the hydrogen fuel eventually runs out, and when that happens, the star can no longer maintain its outward push against inward-pulling gravity. The star slowly starts to shrink. This shrinking has the effect of bringing more hydrogen from locations further out in the star into the region previously occupied by the core, sufficient hydrogen, in fact, for the nuclear fusion to resume in a shell around the star’s inner core. Eventually, the center can no longer hold, and the star explodes.
    So what happens to the material flung into space in a supernova explosion, the remains of the star? It disperses gently over the eons, and its elements go toward forming new stars, new planets, perhaps even new life. All the atoms in your body were forged in the fiery hearts of ancient stars. The calcium in your bones. The iron in your blood. All were born in a massive red giant star and seeded across the universe in a supernova explosion billions of years ago.
    Let’s come back to our sun. Can it go supernova on us? The sun has enough fuel to last 10 billion years, and if it were to go supernova, there is no hope for the Earth! We are too close for comfort. However, thankfully, the sun is not massive enough to become a supernova, despite its size!
    Now that we know our sun will not go supernova on us, how much energy is produced during a Type II supernova? The unit of measure of this type of stupendous energy is FOE, meaning 10 followed by 51 zeroes! During the sun’s lifetime, it will emit approximately 1.2 FOE of energy! However, a

    All the light that we see are electromagnetic waves. All different wavelengths are equivalent, except that waves of higher frequencies are more energetic. The speed of all these EM waves, however, is the same. It's the maximum speed allowed in the universe.

    This speed limit sets the max rate at which information can flow in the universe. This assures that causation is preserved. Einstein showed that the world would look very different as you near this speed. We don’t see this because our terrestrial speeds are very low compared to the speed of light.

    What would happen if we traveled closer to the speed of light? Strange things.

    When an ambulance approaches you, the wavefront made by its siren gets packed together towards the direction of movement. This causes a higher pitched sound. Similarly, the wavefronts get further apart in the opposite direction. This results in a lower frequency sound. This is the doppler effect.

    Something similar happens with light. As seen from earth, most galaxies are redshifted, thus the wavelength is stretched. The galaxies are moving away from us. This is called the relativistic doppler effect, and it happens thanks to relativity. If we built a fast spaceship that traveled near the speed of light, this effect will change how you see the world compared to person who is not moving!

    A red traffic light at 25% the speed of light we would be seen as green. If we moved away from the red light at 25% the speed of light, we wouldn't see it at all because it would be infrared, something our eyes can't see.

    This also means that infrared light that we currently can't see in the cosmos would become visible in the front window of our spaceship.
    Likewise, natural high energy ultraviolet light which is also invisible to us now, would become visible from our rear window. So we might see unexpected objects and colors both in front and in back our spaceship.

    Another effect would be on the side window of the spaceship, called relativistic aberration, or the searchlight effect. From the side, you would not only see the colors distorted, but the light would appear brighter towards the direction of motion, and darker away from the direction of motion. This is because, if you are going very fast forward, then you are racing into more photons.

    Special relativity also shows that time and length are also different for a moving observer, compared to a stationary one. At 60% the speed of light, time will slow down compared to a stationary observer, but you will not experience anything different. From your frame of reference, time will tick just like it does on earth.

    1 meter for a stationary observer would only be 80 centimeters for the moving observer. This is called length contraction. This SHOULD mean that objects would look squished together. This is what’s happening, but NOT what you will see. Instead, you see objects curving away from you, and rotating towards you. The reason is because the photons from the front of the building are reaching your eyes earlier than the photons in the back of the building, so you see it curved. This is an optical illusion. the object in fact contracted.

    This same effect means that spherical objects like earth don’t appear squished like a pancake, even though they are contracted, but remain spherical-looking. But they will appear rotated towards you.

    This is again an optical illusion, because in reality the object is contracted. What you will experience is that distances are reduced, so a trip to Proxima Centauri, 4.5 light years away, will only be 3.6 light years.

    The interesting thing is that even though things would be closer to you, they would actually look farther away when you viewed them from your front window. Likewise looking out the back window things will appear to be a lot closer.
    This seems to be a paradox, but as the spaceship moves faster, length contraction in the direction of motion means that objects on the side of the ship move towards the front. In fact, all the light from the side and even behind the ship would shift forward.

    Your field of view increases in the direction of movement and decreases behind the spacecraft. Looking forward in the spacecraft would be like looking through a fisheye lens and looking out in the back would be like looking into a zoom lens.

    To find out about the presence of life on any other planet out there, many space missions have been conducted. At present, NASA has two rovers on Mars, and several probes orbiting Jupiter and Saturn. It also launched the James Web Telescope, a billion-dollar project that took almost three decades in the making. It will study galaxy, star, planet formation in the universe, and the presence of any other life in this universe, other than ours.
    With so much in space, the scientists are sure of one thing and that is they are really going to find the other life. But what is going to be the next step after the discovery? According to several news sources, NASA reportedly hired a team of theologians to help predict humanity's reaction to finding alien life.
    Previously, rumors circulated that NASA had hired two dozen experts through the Center of Theological Inquiry in Princeton, New Jersey, who were referred to as priests or clergy by various news sites. NASA’s this move is to determine how different religions around the world would react if contact was made with aliens.

    NASA engineer David Burns has been doing just that. He claims to have developed an engine design that could hypothetically accelerate to 99 percent the speed of light without the need for propellant. On paper, it works by exploiting the way mass may change at relativistic speeds - those near to the speed of light in a vacuum - and he's put it to the NASA Technical Reports Server under the title Helical Engine.
    This in-space engine could be used for long-term satellite station-keeping without refueling, Dr Burns writes in his paper. It could also propel spacecraft across interstellar distances, reaching close to the speed of light.
    Light would struggle to keep up with you at these speeds, altering your eyesight in strange ways. Everything behind you would turn dark, and time would appear to slow to a crawl, with clocks slowing to a crawl and planets appearing to cease spinning. Dr. Burns' crazy notion is revolutionary because it eliminates the need for rocket fuel entirely.
    To transport humans to Mars and beyond, today's rockets, such as those produced by Nasa and SpaceX, would require tons of propellants like liquid hydrogen. The difficulty is that the more gasoline you put in, the heavier the ship becomes. Modern propellant tanks are simply too large for interplanetary travel. High-tech particle accelerators, such as those used in Europe's Large Hadron Collider, are used in the helical engine to get around this.

  • Elon Musk & NASAs JUST SHOCKED The Entire Space Industry With This Discovery!


    Have you ever complained of the heat on a bright sunny day? Despite being 93 million
    miles away from the Sun and being protected by the ozone layer, many of us have felt
    the burning heat of the Sun at one time or the other! There is, however, an object that is
    moving directly towards the Sun to kiss it! The Parker Probe is one tough guy as it is
    destined to melt away as it is heading to the Sun, where things get as hot as 5,500
    degrees Celsius! However, before it dissolves into nothingness, the Parker Solar Probe
    mission, which Elon Musk as a proper nerd, is a great fan of, is already making mind-
    blowing discoveries and sending data back to us about this massive ball of fire at the
    center of our solar system! What has the Parker Probe discovered about the Sun, and
    how does it affect you? Join us as we explore through the eye of Musk the insane
    NASA discovery on the Sun that changes everything!
    The Sun is truly awe inspiring in every way! Due to its massive size, it basically holds
    everything together in our Solar System! Without it, the Earth would have flown out of
    orbit and gotten lost in one corner of the universe!
    How big is the Sun? Well, the Sun, which is a star, is the largest object in the solar
    system! It is nearly a perfect sphere with its equatorial diameter and its polar diameter
    differing by only 6.2 miles or 10 km. The mean radius of the Sun is 432,450 miles or
    696,000 kilometers, making its diameter about 864,938 miles or 1.392 million km! The
    Sun's circumference is approximately 2,713,406 miles (4,366,813 km).
    To the proper perspective of all these numbers, you can line up 109 Earths across the
    face of the Sun! Or, if you could somehow hollow out the Sun, you can drop one million
    of our Earth inside the Sun!
    What about the mass? Unlike the Earth, the Sun does not have any solid parts, but it is
    very dense. Its mass has been estimated at 1.989 X 10 raised to the power of 30
    kilograms! Compared to the Earth, the Sun is about 333,000 heavier! But then, the Sun
    accounts for 99.8 percent of the weight of the entire solar system! This is despite that
    the Sun loses 1.5 million tons of materials every second to the solar wind!
    Remember solar wind because you will hear more about it in this video!
    The Sun's size and mass are not the only impressive thing about this star! The Sun
    gives off so much heat that humans had to invent air conditioning to deal with the hot
    summer months, despite being tucked away more than 93 million miles! In fact, next
    time the Sun makes you uncomfortable, remember that the sunray traveled for eight
    minutes before reaching the Earth!
    How hot is the Sun? The answers depend on where you are standing in the Sun! The
    surface of the Sun is about 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit or 5,500 degrees Celsius hot,
    while temperatures in the core reach more than 27 million Fahrenheit or 15 million
    Celsius! According to NASA, to replicate or reproduce that amount of energy, you would
    need to explode 100 billion tons of dynamite every second!
    But how does the Sun produce this enormous amount of energy? The Sun has a vast
    supply of hydrogen, and the hydrogen atoms get compressed and fuse together,
    creating helium. This process is called nuclear fusion. The nuclear fusion taking place at
    the core of the Sun produces enormous amounts of energy that radiates outward to the
    Sun's surface, atmosphere, and beyond.
    From the center, energy moves to the radiative zone, where it bounces around for up to
    1 million years before moving up to the convective zone, the upper layer of the Sun's
    interior. The temperature here drops below 3.5 million degrees Fahrenheit or 2 million
    degrees Celsius. Large bubbles of hot plasma form a soup of ionized atoms and move
    upward to the photosphere.
    There is one intriguing phenomenon about the movement of heat from the Sun's core
    that defies logic. The Sun has three outermost layers, the photosphere, the
    chromosphere, and the corona, arranged in that order when you are coming from the
    core of the Sun. The temperature in the photosphere is about 10,000 degrees
    Fahrenheit or 5,500 degrees Celsius. Next is the chromosphere, which is not as hot at
    7,300 degrees Fahrenheit or 4,000 degrees Celsius. However, the corona can get very
    hot, with temperatures ranging from 1.7 million degrees Fahrenheit or 1 million degrees
    Celsius, to more than 17 million Fahrenheit or 10 million degrees Celsius! If you had
    been following closely by now, you would be wondering why the corona, which is the
    outer layer and farther from the core, is hotter than the two other layers!
    Scientists would like to find out precisely what is responsible for this seeming anomaly
    and also discover the other secrets of our closest star! However, since you can't send
    astronauts to the Sun, the next best thing is a probe! This is the idea of the Parker Solar
    Probe launched by NASA, and the probe has sent back a trove of information, with most
    of it s

    In theory, NASA’s impossible engine would allow travel from earth to the moon in less than 2 seconds. That means they would be on the moon by now if they left earth when you clicked on this video. That does sound impossible but then again, NASA has always been known to do the impossible. Their Helical Engine concept is the source of this literal lightspeed travel but it is also the source of some drama and intellectual arguments because somehow, it defies the laws of physics as we know it.

    Newton’s law of motion states that there for every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction. For instance, when you jump, you push against the ground, which is your action, and the reaction is the ground lifting you in the air. Same thing happens with jets pushing against air and the air then reacting by pushing the jet forward. But the Helical Engine works differently to outrace light.

    Physics is the basis of natural science. If some phenomenon contradicts the laws of physics, then this phenomenon does not exist.
    Is it so?
    In most cases, this is true. But history proves that the contradiction of physical laws sometimes means that we simply do not know something. And then a new physics emerges.
    On February 28, 1913, the Danish physicist Niels Bohr proposed a planetary model of the atomic structure, which later became the basis of quantum mechanics. Bohr argued that an electron in an atom does not obey the laws of classical physics.
    However, many of Bohr's contemporaries, including the indisputable scientific authority Albert Einstein, considered this theory untenable and even insane. Uncertainty – the term and exact science seemed to be incompatible. “God does not play dice,” Albert Einstein told Niels Bohr in person. To which Bohr calmly advised Einstein to stop telling God what to do.
    Einstein did not believe in God. This phrase has become just a convenient metaphor. Einstein did not want to accept randomness in the universe, and he was seriously mistaken.
    Just think, Einstein - the smartest man among earthlings, made a mistake!
    Yes, he did. Now even a schoolboy knows that the discovery of quantum mechanics gave humanity the majority of modern technologies:

    • lasers;
    • particle accelerators;

    Today we'll talk about one of my favorite topics, warp drives. I am fascinated by warp drives because they are future technology straight out of science fiction and yet they are not for any obvious reason impossible. After all, Einstein taught us that space can indeed deform and that distances can indeed shrink and that time can indeed dilate. So why not bend and deform space-time to get us faster from one place to another?

    Well, the devil is in the details. While warp drives have been studied in Einstein's theory of general relativity, they require unphysical stuff: negative energies, repulsive gravity, or things that move faster than light already. In this video, I summarize what new scientific literature has been published on this in the past year, and what progress has been made.
