    Dear world,
    Let´s talk about time.
    When I uploaded my first YouTube video 7 years ago, I would have never thought that it would get that much attention. Had lots of discussions, met new people, continued to make videos about things that intrigued me. Or tried out effects.

    I enjoyed it a lot, and I still read every comment that pops up. And they keep coming in. It is a hobby that I am very glad about having started. And I am humbled by the attention.

    Well, as time went by I found less time to work on videos, struggled with other things in life, and wondered if I would ever find the time again.

    But I always knew one thing:
    I owe you something. All the time people were are asking about a sequel to starsize comparison. And yes, I promised once.
    I keep my promises. So, whenever I found time over the last year I spent it on that. Here it is.
    I hope you like it. I tried to do it in a bit different way. Curious for the feedback. I know I will be hardly able to beat the choice of music from the first part, but let me say, Vangelis Alpha is a piece that is very dear to my heart, I always had this in mind.

    I do not know what the future brings, but I hope we will hear from each other. Enjoy.

    Because new scientific discoveries have been made, I created an updated version of the video Star size comparison 2020. As of August 2020, the largest known star in the universe is Stephenson 2-18. While previously the largest, UY Scuti is now ranked low as it was discovered to only have 755 Solar radii. Stephenson 2-18's radius is more than 2,000 times that of the Sun!

    Here are the biggest/largest stars included in this video:
    Arcturus, R136a1, Polaris, Aldebaran, Canopus, Rigel, Eta Carinae, Pistol Star, CW Leonis, Antares A, Betelgeuse, HV 2112, VY Canis Majoris, Westerlund 1-26, WOH G64, and Stephenson 2-18.

    Constellations: Bootes, Dorado, Ursa Minor, Taurus, Carina, Orion, Sagittarius, Leo, Scorpius, Tucana, Canis Major, Ara, Scutum

    Stephenson 2-18 is a red supergiant star within the open cluster Stephenson 2 located around 20,000 light years away from Earth in the constellation of Scutum. It is among the largest known stars and one of brightest red supergiants. It is estimated to be around 10 billion times bigger than the Sun. If placed at the center of the Solar System, it would engulf the orbit of Saturn.

    WOH G64 is another red supergiant star found in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) satellite galaxy in the southern constellation of Dorado. Like Stephenson 2-18, it is one of the largest known stars in the universe, with a radius more than 1,500 times that of the Sun.

    Westerlund 1-26 is a red supergiant or red hypergiant within the outskirts of the Westerlund 1 super star cluster. It is one of the largest known stars discovered so far although its radius is uncertain but is calculated to be between 1,530–2,550 solar radii, corresponding to a volume between 3.6–16.6 billion times bigger than the Sun.

    VY Canis Majoris is an extreme oxygen-rich red hypergiant or red supergiant and pulsating variable star located at 1.2 kiloparsecs (3,900 ly) away from Earth in the constellation of Canis Major. It is one of the largest known stars by radius, and is also one of the most luminous and massive red supergiants, as well as one of the most luminous stars in the Milky Way Galaxy.

    Definition of Terms:
    1. Solar Radius - is a unit of distance used to express the size of stars in astronomy relative to the Sun.
    2. Luminosity (Solar Luminosity) - a unit of radiant flux conventionally used by astronomers to measure the luminosity of stars, galaxies and other celestial objects in terms of the output of the Sun.
    3. Temperature (Effective temperature) - The effective temperature of a body such as a star or planet is the temperature of a black body that would emit the same total amount of electromagnetic radiation. Effective temperature is often used as an estimate of a body's surface temperature when the body's emissivity curve (as a function of wavelength) is not known.
    4. Temperature (Kelvin) - The kelvin is the base unit of temperature in the International System of Units (SI), having the unit symbol K.

Many other stars are visible to the naked eye from Earth during the night, appearing as a multitude of fixed luminous points in the sky due to their immense distance from Earth. Astronomers have assembled star catalogues that identify the known stars and provide standardized stellar designations.     Star is a hot ball of plasma held together by its own gravity. Stars are born inside hydrogen-based dust clouds called a nebula.

    When the hydrogen clouds collapse due to gravity, material at the center begins to heat up, as a result, a Protostar is born. Protostar is a very young star that is still gathering dust and gas from its molecular cloud.

    For a star like our sun, this protostellar phase lasts about 500,000 years.

    As the compression of hydrogen gas continues, the core becomes so hot that the process of nuclear fusion starts, where hydrogen atoms fuse to form helium. In this process, some matter is lost which is converted into energy, and a star is born. This relation of matter and energy was discovered by Albert Einstein by his famous formula E=mc^2. Where E is energy, m is the mass, and c is the speed of light.

    A Size Comparison of stars in our universe. Lots of this is taken from The Size of Our Universe, with new stars being added and some being removed. This is my second comparison, so if you haven’t already, go and watch my Universe Size Comparison!
    Also, I know, VY Canis Majoris and UY Scuti are sometimes confusing, since lots of people say that VY Canis Majoris is the largest star. I believe that Wikipedia also does that, though It’s highly unconfirmed. I decided to make VY CMa the largest star in this video (Minus the Hypothetical Quasi Star after that) and UY Sct the Second Largest, though majorly UY Sct is the largest.

    The star models are by Times Infinity, though I Think that they look too realistic and need to be more simple. So next time, I’ll use Scale of The Universe 2 Objects instead.
