The lion is one of the big cats in the Felidae family and a member of genus Panthera. It has been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List since 1996, as populations in African range countries declined by about 43% since the early 1990s. Lion populations are untenable outside designated protected areas. Although the cause of the decline is not fully understood, habitat loss and conflicts with humans are the greatest causes of concern. The West African lion population is listed as Critically Endangered since 2016.

  • The Man With 200 Big Cats | Predator Pets | Real Wild

    43:46

In this episode of Predator Pets, we learn about Mark's exotic animals including his alligator and tarantula. We see how Mark is an expert handler and cares for many different species of exotic animals. We then venture to visit Joe Taft at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, which has rescued just under 200 big cats where staff and volunteers are trained in caring for these magnificent creatures. We visit Val and her energetic bobcats and learn that although they may seem domesticated, bobcats are in no way normal pets.

    Predator Pets:
Thousands of people around the world keep pets that most of us would consider extreme. The list of options is long, alligators, bears, wolves, snakes, chimpanzees, deer, bison, and many more. But have we crossed the line by keeping wild and undomesticated animals as pets, is it a case of the wildebeest asking the crocodile if it likes to swim? The series investigates extreme pet ownership through interviews with owners, vets, zoo keepers, town officials, police, and neighbors.

Serengeti, preserved in the image of its creation. A strange change has swept across the vast beautiful plains. Heavy rain in the dry season, while the wet season grows shorter and drier. Harsh climate change has finally moved onto the deep meadows of the Serengeti...

There is only one rule in the plains, live or die. However, the wild animals are acting against their primal instincts to survive. Cheetahs, alone by nature, form packs and live together, while the lion, king of the savannah, abandons all pride, accepting dead meat after travelling hundreds of kilometers for prey.
A daily battle for survival in the Serengeti. Just as the migration of the wildebeests continues for tens of thousands of years, the wild animals will forever adapt to the changing environment. This fierce effort keeps the Serengeti alive, and makes it a true breathing heritage.

The tiger is the largest extant cat species and a member of the genus Panthera. It is most recognizable for its dark vertical stripes on orange-brown fur with a lighter underside. It is an apex predator, primarily preying on ungulates such as deer and wild boar. It is territorial and generally a solitary but social predator, requiring large contiguous areas of habitat, which support its requirements for prey and rearing of its offspring.

The jungle screams of survival by any means. In fact, the underdogs are taking revenge on the captors that have held them down for way too long. The battle is fierce, and there are no rules!
Stay tuned as I take you through the 15 extreme wild animal fights.

    15. Alligator vs. Python

The muddy waters of the Florida swamp have experienced a fair share of blood baths, even from unexpected places. It didn't expect a fight as bewildering as this one. In this clip, we see a territorial Python take on a beady-eyed alligator with one flick of his tongue. If only these creatures had the opportunity to speak, we would have known what was going through their minds as they took each other on. Who provoked who? Did they bear this grudge for so long and wanted to settle it once and for all? Whatever is the case, we give our verdict on the combat. The alligator seemed to control the fight initially, but he dashed off after he was sure he would be overpowered. He probably went home to think about a perfect comeback.

    14. Mongoose vs. Cobra

So, this venomous cobra was having her time with a prey it just caught when this Mongoose tried to play the role of an angel. It thought to rescue the animal in danger, but the cobra didn't find the nerve funny. It leaves me wondering how compassionate animals are that they can go to any length to protect the weak. Just so you know, Mongoose prey on snakes, especially cobras but in this scenario, something different played out. The animal you thought would win lost, but the Mongoose would certainly live to fight another day. It was heartwarming for the squirrel to watch and see how her lover defended her. The next time there's a clash, it is easy to guess who the next winner will be.

    13. Baboon vs. Crocodile

No mother would sit and watch her baby in danger and do nothing. They even go as far as risking their lives for the safety of their children. Animals do it even better. In this fight, a baboon tries to rescue her baby from a bloodthirsty crocodile. These sea creatures are unapologetic when it comes to hunting their prey. It got the wrong one this time. The baboon quickly dashed off to save her child, and guess what? She won over the crocodile, but it wasn't a smooth victory. She lost her baby in the battle. The watering hole became filled with blood-soaked tears and regrets.

    12. Cat vs. Cat

Who would have thought that outfoxing cats were for the birds? This clip shows how a clever crow managed to pull a fast one on two feline creatures. It convinced them not to eat him but fight each other instead. Who does that? Only the bird, of course. Anyone who has been roped into a fight or argument with a friend can relate to this one. One random stranger tells you lies about your friend and does the same to the other party. The next time there's a meeting, the information leads into an argument or a fight, and the person watches from a distance. Well, the crow is the crowd-pleaser here, and you don't need to purchase tickets to watch how everything panned out because it happened right at the rooftop.

    11. Sloth vs. Eagle

After seeing this video, you'll probably have another perspective on the idea of moving like a sloth. We see a sloth moving like a boss, unlike what we thought of them. I hope they forgive us for having a faulty misconception of their style. As it moves past the harpy eagle, it knocks it out with ease. Such audacity! The eagle is as shocked when the assailant's claws brush against his chest, but he dares not protest for fear of repercussions. The next time you see this creature, give them space because they have proven that slow and steady remains the deadliest combination in the animal kingdom.

    10. Iguana Multiple snakes

This sounds like one of those popular ambushes during World War I. Why would dozens of snakes go after one seemingly innocent Iguana? Again, we can't hear these animals speak, so we don't know what had transpired to necessitate the rage. The high-speed police chase was targeted at a lonely Iguana who manages to escape in a swift twist. The camera angle and kung-fu kicks make it seem like the Iguana is even kicking his predators on their head as he scampers for safety. He knows he's no match for them; therefore, he runs for his life while doing what he can.

    58:46

Existing before humans, dinosaurs, or even trees, sharks are some of the oldest creatures on our planet. Ocean Ramsey is known as The Shark Whisperer, and she's working hard to save endangered sharks from extinction. Whilst there are over 480 species of shark, the most well known - and feared - is the Great White Shark. Saving Jaws is a documentary all about the brilliant sharks in our oceans. Ocean Ramsey attributes her unparalleled connection with sharks to over a decade of research, but many are convinced it is something more... The media has dubbed her The Shark Whisperer. Battling a looming extinction, Ocean and her team of marine biologists will travel the globe for 12 months, conducting research and expanding their conservation efforts. From renowned scientists and PHDs, to elite athletes and celebrities, The Shark Whisperer will lead humans from all walks of life out of their element and into the deep... free-diving with some of the worlds most dangerous sharks. -----------------------------------------
    Jaguar

In South American rainforests, Jaguars feed on crocodiles after hunting them and defeating them in a fight. Jaguars have a strong bite force. They also love swimming, which adds to their advantage in this scenario. Unlike other big cats, Jaguars love water and don't shy away from it. They like living near rivers and feeding on fishes and baby crocodiles. This fact helps them in defeating the crocodiles.

    Anaconda

Anacondas or water boas are snakes of the genus name Eunectes. Found in tropical South America, Anacondas can win in the fight against a single crocodile. Anaconda's feed on fishes, rodents, jaguars, and crocodiles. It is also not uncommon for female anacondas to eat males. The interesting phenomenon is how the anacondas swallow whatever huge animal they eat. It can take them 5 hours to swallow a crocodile. It can be strange to imagine the possibility of anaconda winning against the crocodile. The anacondas are very muscular.

    Hippopotamus

Up next, a hippopotamus can easily defeat a crocodile. Note that it is the only animal discussed up till now that does not kill the crocodile in order to eat it. Hippopotamus are mostly herbivorous and semiaquatic mammals. Their diet mainly consists of only grass and sometimes aquatic plants. However, hippos can be among the topmost dangerous animals in the world. They have an aggressive nature, and it is hard to predict the hippo’s next move. Hippos become threatened by loss of habitat.

    Killer Whale

Killer whales, also known as Orca, are whales with tooth and they belong to the oceanic dolphin family. The diet of the Killer whales is quite diverse. Being apex predators, no animals dares to prey on killer whales. Hence, it's no surprise that in a fight between the crocodile and the killer whale. Killer whale wins. No matter how much the saltwater crocodile weighs.
It can weigh more than 1000 kilograms, yet it would not be a problem for the Killer whale to defeat it. The weight of the Killer whale is just too much for the crocodile to harm it. Moreover, the Orca is a mammal.

    Tiger

Tigers are cunning and conservative animals. They don't go ahead and look for trouble. Instead, they calculate how much risk they can take or how much danger they are able to suffer. Tiger's diet is diverse. From termites to elephant calves, deer, cows, buffalos, or goats – they feast on different animals. Royal Bengal Tigers are famous for taking down a saltwater crocodile single-handedly. Usually, the fight takes place on land. Tigers attack from behind, relying on stealth to kill their prey.

  • 15 times crocodiles and alligators messed with the wrong opponent.

    21:39

Crocodiles are powerful apex predators, but it doesn’t mean they always come out on top. Some animals give them a run for their money and sometimes even defeat them. Sometimes they’re just having a bad day and things don’t go as expected. Do you think crocodiles are always successful when they hunt otters? What about big cats? Let’s find out together as we countdown 15 times crocodiles and alligators messed with the wrong opponent.

    Baboon

A troop of baboons can challenge even a big cat if they organize themselves but, in the water, against a crocodile, I don’t know how well they would fair. The attachment between a mother and her newborn baboon is quite profound, and they have a daily pattern that is like ours. Baboons are highly adaptable creatures that can be found in a wide range of settings in Central Africa. In this video, a smaller crocodile has snatched a baby baboon, but its mother jumps the crocodile and doesn’t give up until the crocodile lets the baby go which it eventually does, but the damage is already done. The mother baboon walks away with its baby in its arms, mourning its death. You can see in this video what I mean when I say a troop of baboons can manage to defeat a smaller crocodile.

Not all the baboons are courageous enough to jump the crocodile, but a few of them are gutsier than the others and once they go for it, the others join in the frenzy. This next clip shows a baboon fighting for its life, trying to get out of a crocodile’s jaws. I must say, the baboon’s strength is impressive considering the crocodile’s pressure is immense. The poor baboon gets away, but it looks like it has some serious injuries to deal with and there are no hospitals in the vicinity. Finally, a Grey Langur had its arm trapped in the jaws of a Mugger Crocodile while drinking water. The battle lasted over an hour as the monkey fought for its life. Later, the monkey was able to free its arm from the jaws of its assailant. However, during the fight, the monkey broke its limb, which can be fatal in the wild.

    Wild Boar

Wild boars are powerful animals that can move quickly. In the event of an attack, adult males' canines may cause severe injuries. However, when going up against a crocodile, the odds are against the wild boar. The crocodile is just too powerful, especially if the confrontation takes place in the water. In our first clip, this crocodile gets out of the water and sneaks up on some baby hogs. It looks like it’s going to be a cakewalk for the crocodile, but the entire family comes to the rescue and prevents the crocodile from approaching the youngsters. In this next clip, a bunch of wild hogs is in the water and an alligator approaches them.

The humans are throwing food close to the alligator as if they want one of the hogs to be ambushed by the alligator. A seriously deranged bunch of humans if you ask me. What had to happen, happens and the alligator attacks the hog, leaving it no chance. I don’t think wild pigs have a chance in hell against a crocodile or alligator attack when they’re in the water. Finally, this warthog pulls a few dances moves a la “James Brown” and manages to escape the grip of this mighty crocodile

    SUMMARY
Many wild animals can be dangerous or even fatal for a person. If you look at the statistics, you might feel terrified.
    - Sharks cause just six deaths a year - their infamous reputation is very exaggerated.
    - Wolves are responsible for ten deaths annually.
    - Lions kill 22 people a year.
    - Now get ready: elephants, cute lovely giants, are the reason that more than 500 people lose their lives every year!
    - Hippopotamuses equal them in this scary competition.
    - Crocodiles turn out to be much more dangerous than sharks: about one thousand deaths a year.
    - But the champion here is the snake: 100,000 people meet their end at the teeth of this reptile.

We hope you will never have to escape from a rhinoceros, swim away from a crocodile, or meet a hungry lion. However, now you will be able to protect yourself in the wilderness.

  • Amazing!! Animal Saves Another Animal | Animal Heroes | HD

    Animals, can show mercy?
These compilation was created for educational purposes. it show Top 7 Best videos on the Web to some animals we believe they save other animals from imminent death. is intended to illustrate the instinct compassion at animal's by watching some of its behaviors in this video.
Life in the wild for animals is often depicted as a unending struggle for survival, where danger lurks at every turn. But playing out alongside those daily life-and-death dramas are lesser-seen moments of apparent compassion - ones that defy easy explanation.
While curiosity or playfulness fit fairly well into models of animal behavior, the idea of helping another species out through a desire to prevent suffering is one that meets plenty of resistance.
    Is the animal sharing the instinct of mercy with human or all of what we saw in this video is purely coincidental;

7/ *BEAR SAVES CROW FROM DROWNING*
Check out what this bear did, in a video that was recorded at the Budapest Zoo and posted to YouTube by Aleksander Medveš. Even the crow doesn’t seem to believe it!
a bear pauses his meal to rescue a crow that's drowning in his enclosure.
Some online commentators have speculated the brown bear, Vali, was planning to eat the crow, but changed her mind. However, it certainly doesn't look like that to us, and indeed the crow makes no effort to get away. Whether Vali's motivation was simple compassion, curiosity or a desire to have something to play with isn't clear.
the zoo's website for us. They back the curiosity theory. They add that hooded crows such as this one have been taking over the zoo, stealing meat from the lions and tigers Finally the site notes, the crow was lucky to meet Vali instead of the other tenant of the paddock named Defoe, as the latter probably would have had a taste of the black bird.
6/ *PIG SAVES GOAT FROM DROWNING*
As a New York Times report revealed, the 30-second clip, which went viral after it was posted on YouTube, was artfully staged by the people behind Comedy Central series “Nathan for You.”
Broadcast on Fox News, NBC’s “Nightly News“ and ABC’s “Good Morning America,” as well as posted on sites like Gawker and The Huffington Post, the video — which has since been seen more than 7 million times — was, in reality, the result of work by animal trainers and several crew members.
5/ *ORANGUTAN SAVES BABY CHICK FROM DROWNING*
Cathy Smith, from the Orangutan Foundation, said: They are very intelligent animals and can be very inquisitive.
This shows how chilled out and good at problem solving these amazing creatures are.
It's hard to say whether he knew he would be saving the chick but you never know. I have never heard of anything like this before.
The curious ape was in its enclosure, when it noticed the bird's struggle in the pond.
It yanked a leaf from a nearby bush and extended its arm out to the bird, beckoning to the chick in the hope that it will latch onto the leaf.
Onlookers cheered as orangutan managed to get the bird to grip the leaf for a split second only to have the bird drop again.
In a last-ditch attempt to rescue the chick, the orangutan gently waved the leaf in front of the bird which managed to latch on to it.
The ape plucked the bird from the water to the delight of the crowd. During the clip, one woman can be heard exclaiming: Oh my God look, that is unbelievable, he's got him.
The massive ape carried the chick back to the main part of its enclosure, where it tenderly placed it down on the grass and proceeded to gently stroke the bird.

4/ * HIPPO SAVES DEER FROM CROCODILE*
Hippos saving impala from crocodiles and helping it to safety.
It's hard to say whether hippo knew he would be saving the impala but you never know. I have never heard of anything like this before.
3/ *BABOON SAVES IMPALA FROM LEOPARD*
This is the moment a hungry Cheetah went in for the kill by hanging on to an impala's neck - only for the lucky prey to escape its clutches and spring away to safety.
The big cat was seen gripping its paws and front legs around the impala ram in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
The Cheetah looked to have secured its meal, holding the animal down on the ground with the help of its powerful jaws.
But when a nearby group of baboons caused a commotion, the Impala took its chance and jumped up before bounding away.
2/ *HIPPO SAVES ZEBRA FROM CROCODILE*
Hippos save a zebra after crocodile attack As the video shows, the hippos slowly approached the scene and then, incredibly, sprang onto the crocodile, forcing it to release its death grip on the wildebeest. Sadly, this animal will likely not survive.

  • 5 SHOCKING Facts about Feeding Big Cats in Zoos

    3:14

1- zoos always seek to attract more visitors by setting up new offers, and add more activities that visitors can do for money. In some gardens, the public is allowed to feed predators directly for a sum of money, as the visitor buys live animals such as cows, goats, and rabbits, and feeds them to lions and tigers.
Do you think that such shows should be banned in zoos or this is very natural occurring daily in the wild and there is no need to deprive the public of these scenes? - Share your opinion in the comments.
