If you watched the Super Bowl you may have noticed GM's commercial about their new upcoming electric vehicles in 2021. This seems to confirm that 2021 is truly the year of the Electric Vehicle. It’s safe to say Tesla is currently the leader in the EV space. I’ve owned a Tesla Model 3 for almost 3 years and it’s been one of the best purchases of my life. But even though Teslas are superior in many ways they aren’t the only option when it comes to choosing a good electric vehicle. And the more electric cars that come out, the more competition there is, the better it is for us, the consumers. This list is sorted by price, from the most affordable to the most expensive.

    0:00 Intro
0:47 Chevy Bolt & Bolt EUV
    2:34 Nissan Ariya
    4:12 VW ID4
    5:57 Ford Mustang Mach-E
    7:32 Hyundai Ioniq 5
    8:55 Curology (Sponsor)
    10:07 Kia CV/EV5
    11:46 Tesla Cybertruck
    13:18 Rivian R1T & R1S
    14:51 Tesla Model S Plaid+
    16:29 Lucid Air

I was never a big fan of the looks & performance of the Bolt, but the new Bolt has been redesigned and also comes in a new variant called the Bolt EUV which stands for electric utility vehicle and is considered to be a crossover SUV and has more space than the regular Bolt as well as a slightly different exterior style.

VW says the ID4 will be able to travel up to 250 miles on a full charge and comes in a few different options: the Pro, 1st Edition, and Pro S. At first, all ID4 models will offer only rear-wheel drive but the all-wheel drive models will join the lineup later this year as well as a less-expensive base model coming in 2022.

It comes in two battery sizes and either rear or all-wheel drive, and can provide anywhere from 211 miles up to 305 miles of range on a full charge depending on the configuration which in my opinion is way too many to choose from.

The Tesla Cybertruck starts around $40,000 for the single motor RWD variant but that’s not going into production until late 2022 so that’s why it’s here at this spot because the dual motor and tri motor versions will be produced first in late 2021 and starting around $50,000 and $70,000 respectively. It can travel anywhere from 250 miles to over 500 miles on a full charge depending on the configuration, and the performance is insane with a 0-60 speed of less than 3 seconds on the tri motor AWD version.

Rivian was founded in 2009, and since then they’ve gotten a lot of attention for their upcoming pickup truck, the R1T, and their SUV, the R1S. They’re backed by Amazon and Ford, and they have a very specific target audience in mind and pretty spot on branding, with a focus on high-end luxury yet adventurous utility. It promises at least 300 miles of range on the large battery pack and over 400 miles on the max battery pack with crazy performance using a quad motor all wheel drive setup delivering a 0-60 speed of 3 seconds and up to 11,000 pounds of towing capacity. But it also comes in a quad motor setup with the same 0-60 speed of 3 seconds as the R1T. I was lucky enough to see both of these vehicles in person last year at Fully Charged Live North America, and they look just as good in person as they do in photos.

  • Top 10 All-New Electric Cars on Roads 2020

An electric car is an automobile that is propelled by one or more electric motors, using energy stored in rechargeable batteries. The first practical electric cars were produced in the 1880s.
[1] Electric cars were popular in the late 19th century and early 20th century, until advances in internal combustion engines, electric starters in particular, and mass production of cheaper petrol (gasoline) and diesel vehicles led to a decline in the use of electric drive vehicles.

From 2008, a renaissance in electric vehicle manufacturing occurred due to advances in batteries, and the desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve urban air quality.
[2] Several national and local governments have established government incentives for plug-in electric vehicles, tax credits, subsidies, and other incentives to promote the introduction and adoption in the mass market of new electric vehicles, often depending on battery size, their electric range, and purchase price. The current maximum tax credit allowed by the US Government is US$7,500 per car.
[3] Compared with internal combustion engine cars, electric cars are quieter and have no tailpipe emissions and lower emissions in general.
[4] In January 2019 and updated in April, a Reuters analysis of 29 global automakers concluded that automakers are planning on spending $300 billion over the next 5 to 10 years on electric cars, with 45% of that investment projected to occur in China.[5]

Charging an electric car can be done at a variety of charging stations, these charging stations can be installed in both houses and public areas.
[6] Tesla Model 3 was the world's best selling EV from 2018 to 2019 and had a maximum electric range of 500 km (310 miles) according to the EPA.

As of December 2018, the global stock of pure electric passenger cars totaled 3.29 million units, representing 64.2% of all plug-in passenger cars on the world's roads.[10] Despite the rapid growth experienced, the global stock of plug-in electric cars represented just about 1 out of every 250 vehicles (0.40%) on the world's roads by the end of 2018.[11] The plug-in car market is shifting towards fully electric battery vehicles, as the global ratio between annual sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) rose from 56:44 in 2012, to 60:40 in 2015, and 74:26 in 2019

2020 VW e-UP! is the smallest model from the brand, that enters its 2nd generation this year. As before, the e-Up measures only 141 inches in length, seats 4 people, but becomes much better where it truly matters, gaining a new battery and more tech features.

    iEV X and XX:

Probably, this is the most peculiar EV on our list, that takes the concept of downsizing to the extreme and would allow you to shelter the car in the hallway instead of a garage. In essence, the Intelligent electric vehicle or iEV X is a glorified quad-wheel scooter with a roof.

    Honda E:

When comparing to other passenger cars or even city-oriented hatchbacks, the 5-door Honda E seems like a miniscule automobile, but in today’s selection, it is actually the largest model.

    Renault Twingo Z.E:

Renault continues to expand its EV range, with the 2021 Renault Twingo Z.E supermini joining the extremely successful Zoe hatch this year.

    Baojun e300:

Baojun is a joint venture of GM, SAIC Motor and Wuling that has been producing tiny all-electric city cars since 2017. The newest one in the brand’s lineup is the 3-door e300, unveiled in early 2020. The 103-inch-long car rides on small, 12-inch wheels and depending on the modification, sits from 2 to 4 people.

    Der e-Kafer:

Volkswagen is seriously exploring the possibility of reinventing the recently discontinued Beetle as a new generation EV, for now though, the iconic Beetle e-Kafer retro model is being converted in partnership with the German restoration specialist eClassics.

  • Top 10 Electric Cars Proving that Chinese Models Can Be Good

When it comes to EVs politicians and automakers of the Western World seem to be in the constant gridlock and often produce only an endless stream of loud promises. China in the other hand is rapidly becoming the world’s cradle of electric cars. In fact, each year the People’s Republic produces nearly 99 percent of electric buses and 50% of all of the EVs in the world.

However, despite these huge numbers the majority of Chinese electric cars are targeted only on the local market. We rarely get a chance to learn much about their newcomers and even less so see them on the roads. In today’s episode of Automotive Territory we will cover the most interesting EVs from China that are gearing up to conquer the international market or have managed to leak into our informational field in 2020.

Previously published electric vehicle related episodes on #AutomotiveTerritory that are worth your time:

Compact all-electric cars that are perfect for city commuting:

Some of the most promising EVs of the future:

In detail information about all models that appeared in this #ATelectriccars release:

    Xiaopeng P7:

Officially the longest range Chinese EV, this 4-door coupe is the second model of the Xiaopeng startup that is going to hit production lines in 2020. The P7 is built on the brand’s new SEPA platform, that enables both single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations.

    Nio EC6:

The Chinese startup Nio can be called a crossover brand, since its current production lineup includes three models of this body style. The EC6 is newest one, and basically, it is a so-called coupe-SUV version of the compact ES6.

    Byton M-Byte:

Unlike many of Chinese electric cars, the Byton M-Byte seems to have been designed solely for the North American market, where it should go on sale by the late 2020.

    Polestar Precept:

We all know Polestar as the high-performance electrified subsidiary of Volvo, but since it is currently owned by the Chinese conglomerate Geely, all of the upcoming Polestars will be manufactured in China instead of Sweden.

    MG ZS EV:

Initially introduced to the Chinese market in 2019, the electric version of the MG ZS crossover is migrating to UK this year, with a cost of £25,000 after incentives.

    Aiways U5:

Aiways U5 is the first all-electric SUV from a Chinese brand to be certified for sale in Europe. The Aiways U5 is scheduled to start deliveries in August 2020, and it will try to compete in affordable crossover segment.

    Xiaopeng G3:

First revealed in 2017 under the name Identity X, this battery electric crossover is often referred to as a Chinese Model X. Unlike its American counterpart, the Xiaopeng G3 is motivated by a 197 horsepower electric motor that is only capable of 106 mph speeds and 0 to 62 acceleration of 8.5 seconds.

    Geely Geometry A:

Geely conglomerate is launching an independent global high-end pure electric brand that is scheduled to release 10 new EV by the year 2025. Their first lineup entry is a mid-size sedan labeled Geometry A expected to arrive in 6 different configurations.

    Nio ES8:

In production since 2018, the ES8 is first SUV model from NIO and its largest vehicle. Starting from 2020, it sits on a revised chassis, gets redesigned exterior, new cabin tech, and a modified powertrain setup with 70, 84 or 100kWh battery pack.

    Byton K-Byte:

This executive sedan K-Byte is lined up as the second model from the Chinese startup that makes its major focus on the autonomy and connectivity of the car. The concept rides on the same platform as the M-Byte Crossover, has elegant sloping roofline and a panoramic roof.

    Baojun e300:

In 2020, the Baojun e300 city car joins its e100 and e200 siblings, offering 2 powertrain modifications and seating from 2 to 4 people.

  • Top 10 Upcoming Plug-in Hybrid Cars Bringing More Electric Range in 2020

Despite noticeable successes in the development of battery technology, the majority of automakers are hesitant about going all in with the production of fully electric cars.

That is why for now we are going through a period of Plug in hybrids domination which do have emission less driving modes for limited ranges, but keep the internal combustion engine under the hood for longer trips.

Other #AutomotiveTerritory episodes that you may enjoy:

    Most affordable PHEVs of today:

Innovative electric cars that you should keep an eye on:

All models are expected to debut soon and featured in this #ATelectriccars release:

    Jeep Compass and Renegade PHEV:

Jeep Compass and Renegade are expected to share the newly developed plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 1.3L turbocharged gasoline, an electric motor, and a rechargeable battery that offers 31 miles of electric range.

    Peugeot PHEV Lineup:

Peugeot’s electrification initiative is carried out under the motto UnboringTheFuture. Three existing models in the lineup PEUGEOT 3008, 508 and 508 SW are benefiting from the new Hybrid and Hybrid4 Plugin powertrains.

    Lynk & Co 01/02/03 PHEV:

The Chinese brand Lync & Co is a subsidiary of Geely, which is in turn a parent company for the Swedish Volvo these days. Their first cars hit the road in 2018 and are expected to be followed up by plugin hybrid versions throughout 2019 and 2020 model years.

    Ford Escape (Kuga) PHEV:

The 2020 model year of the Ford Escape, AKA Kuga on the European market becomes unrecognizable, acquiring the latest front fascia design shared by the car models Fiesta and Focus. In addition to the exterior changes, the American is electrified with a new hybrid and plugin hybrid variants.

    Renault Captur PHEV:

Having rather humble specifications, the new Plugin hybrid version of the Captur will not be aspiring to snatch any awards. However, its arrival is still important to the industry as it becomes the first affordable crossover PHEV within Renault’s lineup.

    Ford Explorer Hybrid:

The thirtieth birthday of Ford’s best-selling three-row SUV is being celebrated by the release of the all-new 6-th generation Ford Explorer, which also adds a PHEV version to the lineup. It has shared specifications with the previously presented Lincoln Aviator Hybrid.

    BMW 745e xDrive PHEV: pleasure-in-the-luxury-performance-segment:-the-plug-in-hybrid-models-of-the-new-bmw-7-series?language=en

It is questionable whether drivers who shop within the luxury segment wanted a new PHEV BMW 7-Series, but it’s arriving nonetheless. Unfortunately, though, the 2020 BMW 745e xDrive among the most disappointing plugin newcomers in terms of specifications.

    Hyundai Ioniq PHEV: /повтор

For the 2020 model year, Hyundai Ioniq PHEV receives a mild facelift, which introduces exterior design changes, new cabin color schemes, and more standard tech. The model’s powertrain, however, remains unchanged, consisting of the same 1.6L 4-cylinder paired with a 60-horsepower electric motor, 8.9kWh battery, and a 6-speed dual clutch transmission.

    BMW 330e:

BMW 330e belongs to the 7th generation of the BMW 3 Series sports sedan. It gets a new powertrain with an Xtra Boost function and a larger battery, increasing its all-electric range from to 14 to 37 miles on a charge.

    Opel Grandland X Hybrid:

Do not act surprised, the German automaker Opel is still alive and kicking, today as a part of the French PSA Group. The brand has an ambition to electrify the entire lineup by the year 2024, and the first model to start push is the compact crossover Grandland X Hybrid4.

    Ferrari SF90 Stradale:

The announcement of the SF90 Stradale supercar is an unprecedented event for the automotive community, since it is the very first production ready plugin hybrid supercoupe from the seasoned carmaker, marking a tectonic shift for the industry.

  • Top 10 Electric Supercars that Have Shocked the Competition

Unless we discover some sort adamantium alloy, pure internal combustion engines seem to have reached their peak of performance and isn’t likely to surpass 2000 horsepower. Electric cars on the other hand, are only scratching the surface of their potential, which has already allowed them to beat ICE counterparts in terms of outputs and acceleration. Since we’ve last covered EV supercars, the number of all-new models has exploded and their specifications reached beyond comprehensible heights. Today we dive into the lineup of pure megawatts!

Some of the previous #AutomotiveTerritory videos that you may want to see:

All-electric crossovers that will have the lowest prices in 2021:

Vehicles that use on-board solar panels to recharge the batteries:

List of all EV models that were shown in this #ATelectriccars release:

    Automobili Pininfarina Battista Anniversario:

Automobili Pininfarina Battista Anniversario is an exclusive 5-unit edition of the electric hypercar, that honors the 90th anniversary of the coachbuilder.

    Lotus Evija:

A significant infusion of cash into the Lotus coffers, by Chinese conglomerate Geely, allowed the British brand to go through q renaissance. The apex of this cooperation is the creation of the world’s lightest electric hypercar named Lotus Evija.

    Apex AP-0:

With an anticipated price just north of 200k, the new AP-0 by the British-Hong Kong startup Apex Motors is expected to become one of the most affordable supercars on the market. It is built on a carbon fiber tub chassis with a center spine, modular spaceframes, and all carbon fiber bodywork.

    Aspark Owl:

Three years after the concept’s release, ambitions of Japan’s first full-electric hypercar are not being diminished, on the contrary, the Owls performance specs have been doubled.

    Vega EVX:

Announced back in 2015, the EVX from the Sri Lanka-based Vega took 5 long years to develop, and it was finally shown off in its pre-production form via a live stream at the time of the 2020 Geneva Motor show. The car got a revised powertrain, that now features 2 motors 402 horsepower each and a liquid cooled 55 kWh battery, good for 155 miles of range.

    Rimac C_Two:

Unless Richard Hammond comes in and messes up the final testing stage, the Rimac C-Two hypercar will soon start rolling off the production lines in Croatia. 150 units will be assembled at the factory just 140 miles away from the hometown of Nikola Tesla and all of them are already sold out.

    Drako GTE:

Established in 2013, the California-native Drako has made its name with the GTE all-electric super sedan, that started production in 2020. Offered in regular and Track editions, the model has a very classic, attractive exterior, offers seating for 4 people, and packs 4-motor drivetrain system, controlled using a proprietary Drako DriveOS.

    Hyperion XP-1:

The need for supercars to be extremely fast and agile, dictates the use of smaller batteries, which eventually thwarts the range of these vehicles and rules out any grand touring potential. The hydrogen fuel-cell powered Hyperion XP-1 will resolve this issue.

    Genovation GXE:

Until Chevrolet decides to release some version of the Corvette as an all-electric car, your only option to get a BEV Vette is this 750k GXE conversion by the Californian Genovation, that was developed exclusively for the 7th generation of the model.

    Hispano Suiza Carmen and Boulogne:

2020 Hispano Suiza Carmen is an electric supercar inspired by the 1938 Dubonnet Xenia. In 2021, it going to be released in more exclusive Boulogne version, that adds carbon fiber elements, wears black paint with copper accents, sheds 132 pounds of weight, and boosts powertrain by extra 100 ponies.

    Karma Revero GTE:

The most recent entry to Karma’s Revero family is the all-electric GTE scheduled for the unveil in April 2021. It is previewing the company’s proprietary E-Flex modular platform that will be sourced to any interested third parties.

What if your electric car could travel 1000 miles on a single charge, charge in 10 minutes, and last for 1 million miles?

Today just about every electric car uses lithium ion batteries. They’re pretty good, but ultimately are heavy and have long charging times for the amount of energy they can store.

According to Elon Musk, battery modules are the main limiting factor in electric vehicle life. In 2019 he said the Tesla Model 3 drive unit is rated for 1 million miles, but the battery isn’t as long lasting.

To handle the predicted demand explosion for electric vehicles over the coming decades, we’ll need to create a breakthrough battery that is cheaper, longer lasting, more durable, and more efficient. We must also address the issues of political and environmental sustainability to ensure batteries remain tenable in an increasingly electric future.

Over 80% of world’s lithium deposits are found in China, and current technology also relies heavily on cobalt, an element mostly found in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

After Tesla’s recent battery day, where Elon Musk announced a larger, tabless 4680 battery cell with improved energy density, greater ease of manufacturing, and lower cost. The world’s attention is now more focused on batteries than ever before, but Tesla isn’t the only show in town.

Lithium air batteries. Metal air batteries have been around for a while. You might find a little zinc air button cell in a hearing aid, for example, but scaled up aluminum and lithium air chemistries are also promising for the automotive and aerospace industries. The potential for lightweight batteries with high energy storage makes this battery technology promising. Lithium air batteries could have a maximum theoretical specific energy of 3,460 W h/kg , almost 10 times more than lithium ion. NASA researchers have also been investigating lithium air batteries for use in aircraft. This technology still has a long way to go before your take your next business trip is in an electric plane.

Nanotech Batteries. Nanotechnology has been a buzzword for several decades, but is now finding applications in everything from nanoelectronics to biomedical engineering, and body armor to extra-slippery clothing irons. Nanomaterials make use of particles and structures 1-100 nanometers in size, essentially one size up from the molecular scale. Carbon nanostructures also show great promise. Graphene is one of the most exciting of these. Amprius go one stage further with their anodes of ‘100% silicon nanowire’. The maker claims that they can achieve 500 Wh/kg which is in the range suitable for enabling electric aircraft in partnership with Airbus. Nanomaterial research is promising

Lithium sulphur batteries are one emerging technology that can offer greatly improved energy densities compared to lithium-ion. The theoretical maximum specific energy of this chemistry is 2,567 Wh/kg compared to lithium ion’s 350 Wh/kg maximum.

Solid state electrolytes. A common theme in emerging technologies so far has been researchers’ desire to develop solid state electrolytes. These would replace flammable organic liquids with stable, crystalline or glassy-state solids, or polymer-base. It is hoped that using these solid electrolytes would enable the use of metallic lithium electrodes to provide higher output voltages and allow for increased energy density. Panasonic have also been looking into solid state electrolytes. It is notable that Tesla have been partnered with Panasonic in their existing lithium-ion manufacturing capacity, but it is Toyota who have publicly announced their collaboration with Panasonic to develop next generation solid state batteries.
Samsung too are working on solid state batteries.

Dual carbon batteries. Two carbon electrodes and a non-toxic electrolyte with the ability to extract more power than from conventional lithium ion, and their ability to charge 20 times faster, and these lithium-ion variants could be the future for electric vehicles.

Better batteries are also important for the advancement of stationary storage from renewable energy sources such as solar power. Tesla is also making headway into this sector, with products like the powerwall home battery, and powerpack commercial energy storage products.

The technologies discussed in this video could have huge implications on different battery powered transportation options besides just electric cars. Imagine the potential in everything from electric bikes to electric scooters and electric boats to electric airplanes. Consumer electronics also stand to experience vast improvements in battery life in devices such as smart phones, laptops, cameras, and more. The future is electric!

  • 10 New Electric Cars Showing Off the Latest German EV Innovations of 2021

Although electric cars are still turning heads, when spotted on the roads, people are gradually getting used to the new form of transportation that makes zero emissions and is almost silent in operation. Electric vehicle (EV) industry in modern understanding has been started by two companies, representing the USA and Japan auto manufacturing. They have had two different approaches and it seems that they wouldn't make it without each other.

An electric car maker from the US, Tesla Motors, started producing electric sports cars and luxury sedans that were supposed to prove the coolness and practicality of EVs. At the same time, Nissan, an auto giant from Japan, mainly pictured electric cars as small and affordable daily commuters. As a result, their first all-electric model called Nissan Leaf managed to hit over one hundred thousand vehicle sales.

The moderate success of Tesla Motors and Nissan with their Leaf made auto makers from other parts of the world curious and excited about the next new thing. Millions were put into research and development and now we can see that other nations are getting into the electrification race, and Germany is not an exception.

If you analyze the latest changes in the world of carmaking, you will see that German auto companies, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Opel, and BMW were off to a slow start and didn't even have a single all-electric model in their auto lineups. They seem to be looking into their past mistakes and want to catch up as soon as possible by investing heavily in the development of new cars and SUVs with battery-electric powertrains. Some of their previous releases have already been highlighted here:

Not that long ago, we created a series of videos that were supposed to see which nation produces the best EV models of today. In this presentation we'd like to look at the latest German autos that are set to compete with American, Japanese, Indian, Asian and European carmakers. Here we talk about cars that can already be found in the showrooms, as well as upcoming models scheduled to appear as early as 2021; we are putting them head to head, highlighting the most important technical information and pricing to see if German EVs are worth your money and whether they could be as successful as their ICE alternatives.

  • 8 Fastest Electric Cars Ranked by Top Speed and Acceleration Times

Unlike several years ago, the presence of electric cars on the road is treated as something common and ordinary. The latest developments in the field helped EV markers produce new models and compete with regular autos almost in every segment: compact cars, SUVs, buses, and trucks.

Although some of the issues that keep everyone from going all-electric remain resolved (i.e. autonomy range, recharging times, overall pricing of such products), electric cars do shine in several aspects and show their advantages over regular IC engine-powered transport. Latest generation EVs that are produced by companies from the United States, Europe, China and Asia tend to outshine their regular engined competition in terms of acceleration and performance. Moreover, this tendency applies not only to mass market vehicles but to sports cars and performance autos too.

Today we are looking at some of the fastest supercars of today produced by Tesla, Rimac, Lotus, Volkswagen, etc. They are equipped with powerful e-motors, battery packs with innovative cooling systems and smart software systems allowing them to show great performance on the tracks. With models like these we can surely say that there is room for electricity-powered vehicles in motorsports of the future.

Today we are going to be talking about TOP 10 new electric cars in 2021!

    10. Mercedes-Benz EQA
The entry-level EQ model is set to borrow its body shape from the GLA compact crossover rather than the A-Class hatchback, leaving more room beneath the seats for batteries without compromising on interior space.

    9. Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo
Being a casualty of the ongoing pandemic, the more practical version of Porsche’s first EV was originally set to arrive towards the end of 2020 but will instead make its official debut early in the New Year.

    8. Audi RS E-tron GT
The electric grand tourer, which will share a platform with the Porsche Taycan, was originally due to make its production debut towards the end of 2020, timed to coincide with the annual Los Angeles motor show.

    7. Volkswagen ID 4
Set to go on sale in Europe, China and the US, the ID 4 will be Volkswagen’s first ‘global’ electric car. The crossover hatchback uses the same MEB platform as the ID 3 and will be sold in both rear- and all-wheel drive. Four different power outputs and two battery capacities will create a distinct line-up of cars, with a range-topping ID 3 GTX performance model to follow.

    6. Nissan Ariya
The Leaf may have helped Nissan get an early lead in the electric car class, but it is hoping the Ariya will have an even bigger impact. Set to go on sale in the latter half of 2021 as a rival to the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID 4, the SUV will make its debut with up to 310 miles of range.

    5. Tesla Model S Plaid
Long promised by Tesla boss Elon Musk, the Model S Plaid will go into production in the latter half of 2021 and challenge Porsche's Taycan Turbo S for the electric performance saloon crown. It will use three motors to produce around 1100bhp and is capable of 0-60mph in less than 2.0sec.

    4. BMW iX
The technology flagship for BMW’s growing range of EVs made its debut at the tail end of 2020 but isn’t set to go into production until next year. Deliveries are expected in late 2021. The family SUV caused plenty of controversy at launch with its radical styling and it remains to be seen whether BMW will tone things down before it goes on sale.

    3. Kia 2021 EV
We don’t even have a name for Kia’s first bespoke electric car, which will be one of 11 EVs to wear a Kia badge by 2025, but the company has committed to a 2021 reveal. It will be a sister car to Hyundai’s Ioniq 5, sitting atop an all-new platform and initially offer around 310 miles of electric range.

    2. Ford Mustang Mach-E
The past and the future collide on the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, which is inspired by the automaker's unmistakable pony car and powered exclusively by electricity. Although it shares a name and familiar styling cues with the Mustang, the all-electric crossover otherwise is completely unrelated.

    1. Skoda Enyaq iV
The Czech company's first bespoke EV, it will also be the first Skoda to use the VW Group's MEB platform. It will arrive in a selection of different power and battery combinations - including a flagship vRS performance model.
